Hazy Shade of Winter

I know I’ve bored you enough with Snowmageddon but snow or no snow, Winter has reared it’s ugly head. As luck would have it, Winter is week five’s theme for 52 Snapshots of Life hosted by TLPB. I thought I’d have some new images but the weather failed to cooperate although we’re expecting a “major snow event” Sunday night into Monday. Sure it’s gotten very, very cold but you really can’t take pics of cold except maybe some humans bundled up. I try to limit human exposure on this blog. The less pink, the better.

The snapshot above does show cold as the window is totally iced up and there’s snow on the ground. You can definitely tell it’s Winter, even if it’s not this winter. Can you tell I was Photoshopped into the shot? I feel sorry for all the cat colonies out there without a nice warm condo like I have. I make TW go out in the cold to feed them although some days she doesn’t cooperate.

I’m also participating in the Caturday Art Blog Hop hosted by Athena and Marie. It’s a way for blogging anipals to show our artistic, creative, boho side. If you click on the link above, you can see some other artistic pieces.

We could use the lead photo as our art work but we’re gonna give you a bonus submission this week. TW dressed me up as one of her first PhotoShop projects so it’s a bit, er, rough. I recently finished the painting that you see behind me. Heh! I wish!

TW is excited cos she just downloaded a new batch of PhotoShop actions and she loves using those actions. These are called Digital Drawing actions and the one she used on my closeup/“selfie" is Desire. Then we added a little heart frame to add some color. Gotta remember this combination—desire and heart frame—since it’s appropriate for Valentine’s Day. I think I give it my stamp of approval. Hope you like it too.

Biggify to get the entire effect.
Here’s the original selfie that’s been lightened a whole lot for my entry in the Cat on My Head's Sunday Selfies Blog Hop. Boy was that camera heavy for my dainty little paws. Gotta get an i-bone.

Three more days to enter my giveaway for the pawsome toys filled with nip, silvervine, valerian and honeysuckle from Catnip Confections. You can get extra entries every day by tweeting about the giveaway.

  12. Love the hat and scarf.....you're definitely "in the pink" (sorry about that). It's definitely WAY WAY too cold for cats and dogs to be wandering - we're lucky to be inside aren't we?

  22. Goodness, you are way more clever than mom with that Photoshop thingy she has. We are having the same winter storm as you and I am thankful to have a warm keyboard to lay on. Purrs, Rhette

  23. We must be near each other, because we're having the same storm patterns as you. The last one plopped 34 inches on us, and I had to keep the cats in for the last several days, especially yesterday with the cold and wind. Today, I've let them out this morning for a "breather" between storms. They'll be stuck indoors again for a few more days. Great photos! And I love the artwork -- I need to learn how to do that!
