Today Faith is the poster girl cos this week’s PhotoHunt challenge is Entwine. I gotta tell you we were stumped by this theme and only decided to accept the challenge last night. I really don’t know why I do this since it doesn’t bring traffic to my blog. I guess I like torturing TW. It keeps her aging mind sharp.
Long ago and far away, TW used to knit and crochet. She made the blankie that Faith is curled up in. The yarn is entwined in itself and Faith is entwined in the blankie. The pic has a weird texture because it has a satin finish. Does anyone else’s peeps remember when you could get Kodak processing with a matte satin finish? HAH!
Going along with this theme, I’ve selected this image for Athena and Marie’s Caturday Art Blog Hop. We didn’t use PhotoShop because TW could never do anything with this degree of difficulty. All the pretty colors are entwined and you can see me peeking out. The purples sort of look like tissue paper.

I hope you get lots of playtime CK
ReplyDeleteI love your interpretation of entwine! That is a tough one. No special plans...it's supposed to rain here tomorrow too.
ReplyDeleteMy human used to knit and crochet too, and then the internet happened and she didn't have time anymore. Cool art!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pawsome blankie to snuggle down in Keisha. You look so cosy and warm.
ReplyDeleteLuv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
My momma does dat knittin too - I like sleepin on da scarves.
ReplyDeleteWe are planning to be entwined in a blankie too today as it is piddling down again. I may even get the old crochet out too and finish my cushion cover. You enjoy your day.
ReplyDeleteNow when I get entwined in the knitting yarn all I get is shouted at LOL. Have a super Saturday CK.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
Love the photo of Faith entwined in blankie. So cute!
ReplyDeleteAnd your art image is very lovely!
Happy Caturday!
What a wonderful way to interpret the concept! Happy Caturday.
ReplyDeleteThat takes talent! We tried it a couple of times but...
ReplyDeleteNoodle and crew
Faith looks so cozy entwined in her blankie. At first I thought it was also your entry for Caturday Art due to the textured appearance, but when you said it was an older photo with a satin finish, that explained it.
ReplyDeleteI'm not concerned about blog traffic because I blog mostly for fun and to do something creative after work. But it does annoy me when people enter into a blog hop but they don't visit the other blogs and leave comments. Isn't that the point - to share your creativity and let others know you appreciate theirs.
Nice art picture ! And Faith look very comfy in the first photo ! Mum knew the Kodak trick when she was a child : can you only imagine how old she is ? Purrs
ReplyDeleteFaith looks very cozy entwined in the blankie. My mum remembers getting photos developed with a matt finish, but she is ancient.
ReplyDeleteC.K, we love, love love these colors and effect. If it wasn't Photoshop, what did TW use to make it? Or are you keeping that secret all to yourself? We hope you will join us tomorrow for our Sunday Selfies Blog Hop. XO, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
ReplyDeleteGosh CK, those is gorgeous colors. And Me is totally impressed! Your picture is so furry cool!

ReplyDeleteYep, the mom is so old that she does remember getting pictures processed with a matt finish. MOL!

Faith looks very cozy entwined in the blankie <3
ReplyDeleteMy mom-person doesn´t remember the Kodak processing with a matte satin finish , so maybe she isn´t so ancient as I thought *mol*

ReplyDeleteThat's a pretty darned creative interpretation of entwined, CK! We love what you did. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's a lovely image. Yes, I remember satin finish pictures. They were and still are much better than this new 'let's put ginger prints on it' glossy!
ReplyDeleteI think the picture is lovely. It's something to treasure and love.
