Knit One Purl Two

Today Faith is the poster girl cos this week’s PhotoHunt challenge is Entwine. I gotta tell you we were stumped by this theme and only decided to accept the challenge last night. I really don’t know why I do this since it doesn’t bring traffic to my blog. I guess I like torturing TW. It keeps her aging mind sharp.

Long ago and far away, TW used to knit and crochet. She made the blankie that Faith is curled up in. The yarn is entwined in itself and Faith is entwined in the blankie. The pic has a weird texture because it has a satin finish. Does anyone else’s peeps remember when you could get Kodak processing with a matte satin finish? HAH!

Going along with this theme, I’ve selected this image for Athena and Marie’s Caturday Art Blog Hop. We didn’t use PhotoShop because TW could never do anything with this degree of difficulty. All the pretty colors are entwined and you can see me peeking out. The purples sort of look like tissue paper.

Caught in a web of color.
Whatever your plans are, I hope you have a colorful weekend. The peeps are staying home cos it’s gonna be raining tomorrow. Maybe I’ll get some playtime. Any plans on your end?

  10. Faith looks so cozy entwined in her blankie. At first I thought it was also your entry for Caturday Art due to the textured appearance, but when you said it was an older photo with a satin finish, that explained it.

I'm not concerned about blog traffic because I blog mostly for fun and to do something creative after work. But it does annoy me when people enter into a blog hop but they don't visit the other blogs and leave comments. Isn't that the point - to share your creativity and let others know you appreciate theirs.

  22. It's a lovely image. Yes, I remember satin finish pictures. They were and still are much better than this new 'let's put ginger prints on it' glossy!

I think the picture is lovely. It's something to treasure and love.
