Purple Reign

Purple was Gramma’s favorite color. She wore purple whenever she went out and she’d never even heard of Prince. MOL! I bet TLPB has heard of Prince cos this week’s 52 Snapshots of Life theme is the color Purple, which TW said was a pawsome book but she never saw the movie. When TW read the theme, she thought of the blog I did with the purple tissue paper. The only other purple in this condo is the area rugs in her bathroom. Pop prefers blue and TW prefers green.

How fostering saves lives #FoodShelterLove

Greetings from Times Square—the crossroads of the world—where we be shouting about Hill’s® Food, Shelter & Love™ program.

This post is sponsored by Hill’s. I am being compensated for helping spread the word about Hill’s® Food, Shelter, & Love Program, but Stunning Keisha only shares information I feel is relevant to my readers. Hill’s Pet Nutrition, Inc. is not responsible for the content of this article.

Being a city kitty is easy for me because I live in a nice condo with staff at my beck and call. However, it isn’t easy for the many homeless kitties roaming the streets or living in shelters. Believe me, I came from the streets and went through the shelter system. The shelters I was at were nowhere near as cozy as today’s shelters. We didn’t get the quality food they serve today, thanks to Hill’s® Food, Shelter & Love™ program.

Wednesday Word—Water

I’m ashamed to admit it but I’ll come right out and say it. My peeps are hoarders. If it wasn’t that I put my foot down and said they couldn’t get another cat, we’d have a house full of them. I shudder to think what will happen if they out-live me. That couldn’t happen, could it?

The Plot Thickens …

If you could read the red type on the envelope I’m sitting on, you’d read the word URGENT. I’m here to talk about an urgent matter of life and death—MY life or death. I’ll pause so you can gasp. I think the peeps are trying to off me. The clues are beginning to add up. Hear me out before you dismiss this as a paranoid rant.

Mirror Star

TW loves the composition of this pic which is why it’s our official entry.

Mirror mirror on the wall. Who’s the most stunning cat of all? Heh heh. I know the answer to that question and I hope you do too. Mirror is Week 8 of 52 Snapshots of Life challenge presented by the one and only Lazy Pit Bull. This challenge seems to be getting the pit bull to visit me but maybe perhaps being a cat I shouldn’t be inviting pit bulls over here.

CK on #CatDentalHealth — Taking a Bite Out of Dental Disease

This post is sponsored by PetSmart, and the BlogPaws Professional Pet Blogger Network. I am being compensated for helping spread the word about Dental Health Month, but Stunning Keisha only shares information I feel is relevant to my readers. PetSmart is not responsible for the content of this article.

Kittens have 26 teeth, known as their primary, baby, milk or kitten teeth. Adult cats have 30 permanent teeth. I’m 10 year’s old and I’m proud to say I still have all 30. I’ve only needed one dental cleaning in my life and the vet just wanted Pop’s money. How does this little ghetto kitteh do it when 70% of cats aged three years and older have some sort of dental disease? You can bet no one’s brushing my teeth. Biting the humans and eating Feline Greenies® Dental Treats keep this cat’s teeth sharp and disease free. They’re the only cat treat that has The Veterinary Oral Health Council Seal of Acceptance for tartar reduction.

Wednesday Word—Safe!

Here I am—all safe and warm in my bed which is on another bed in a heated condo. Not all cats are this lucky. I filed this report for Cat Witness News.

Sometimes I write blog posts in advance and then I have to report Breaking News on Facebook. Those on FB know last week we were worried about the Maple Cats. We’d had a big ice storm on Monday and TW didn't leave the condo until Wednesday. When she passed their house, the kitties were both sitting on top of their igloo on the porch. TW promised that she’d feed them on her way home.

Late Night Stupid Human Trick

Do I look feral? I didn’t think so.

I’m gonna tell you a true story. I couldn’t make this stuff up. I should sell this piece to the networks.

Love is All Around

Love is the appropriate theme of this week’s 52 Snapshots of Life photo challenge. This challenge is hosted by TLPB and open to anyone on social media. It’s a coincidence that I have more Valentine’s mock-ups or art pieces that any other holiday except maybe Christmas. This is odd cos I’m a confirmed bachelorette. I have many mancats and love them all.

Over the years, I’ve received Valentines from my favorite mancats: Buzz Lucas, Parker S. Kat and Spitty. They’re all special to me. They’re all cherished, which is the theme of the other PhotoHunt. Can you read the message Buzz wrote on the first heart?

Friday the 13th Foto Frenzy

#4013

Anyone superstitious or even suspicious? I’m not but Pop’s been reminding TW that this is Friday the 13th for the past two weeks. It doesn’t mean anything to me. Just another Foto Frenzy except this one has a twist. Since I only have enough of your picks for one more post, I’m gonna post fotos with the number 13. We’ve been adding new fotos so you can chose a number between 2-4679. Gimme a holler with a number. I believe 1000, 2000 and 3000 have been used as well as the years 2013, 2014 and 2015. Also 1111, 2222 and 3333 are out of circulation and can be found under the Foto Frenzy tab at the top of the page.

Wednesday Word—Finicky

Do you like my Winter placemat?

I actually have a Wednesday Word and story for you this week. You guys will be proud of me cos I really showed my Catitude and earned my cat stripes this time. I am a finicky cat.

The Gum Gnome

I’m guarding that teal pack of gum with my life!

Somewhere in our condo community lives the Evil Gum Gnome. TW is sure of it. It may even live in our condo unit! Actually she suspects the Evil Gum Gnome works in the community. I suspect she's #senile.

Kreative Kitty

Surprise, surprise! TW got this week’s challenge wrong like she has so many times in the past. #senile The 52 Snapshots of Life theme this week is CREATE not creative. She drove me crazy all week wracking her amoeba-size brain to figure out what TLPB who hosts this Photo Hunt meant. I had to pose with her Adobe Creative Suites and the Kreative Kitty we have sitting on the computer. She ain’t so smart after all cos it’s all for naught. Tis a shame. A couple of those pics turned out quite nicely. Maybe someone will pick them for a Foto Frenzy since I don’t think we can use them for anything else.

TW says I can create quite a mess but it pales in comparison to her messes which she won’t let me show you. Take the pic above. There’s no mess here. TW was just bent out of shape that the rug was a few feet inches out of place. It’s supposed to line up with the left side of the scratching post but I got a little frisky and kicked it around a little. TW should appreciate that I take a little initiative in redecorating the condo.

Kitty In Mourning

Wave to me if you’re up there, Winston. I miss you.

Ever wish you could turn back the clock? Say, you saw something you wished you hadn’t. If you could turn back the clock and if you hadn’t seen it, it never happened. Right??

That’s how I felt yesterday when TW got home from shopping and we went onto my FB feed. There it was right on top: a post from his human: "Rest in Peace my little Winston Snowydaze - 1999-2015. We will love you forever.” Just last week, Pop had been axing about him. Our hearts stopped and TW’s eyes filled with tears. With all the furrends travelling to the RB, we thought we were inured to these losses. Unfortunataely, we saw it and there was no turning back the clock.

Wednesday Word—Bored

That’s right! We have nothing for you today. We had an ice storm Monday but we just ran a photo of our last ice storm so I’m not going to bore you again. Here is a pic of your Stunning Hostess watching the ice storm. We watched The Kitten Bowl and the Halftime Show with Katy Perry which made TW wonder if these artists could survive in a world without holograms and lasers. Nothing to report about there.

Time To Pin Your Love

No, I haven’t gone wacky. I know today is Groundhog Day.

Every week I participate in the Caturday Art Blog Hop. Sometimes it seems like the blogger who knows the most online photo editors wins. (Before you yell at me, I know you’re just trying to share the wealth and I thank you.) I have been using online photo editors since I started blogging in 2009 and have about a hunnert different sites bookmarked. I can tell you, 98% of them offer the same filters and templates. If you want to take the clutter out of your life, look no further than PicMonkey. I created my Christmas card in it and it’s got some FUNtastic features. What’s unique about it is you don’t have to apply the filter to the entire photo and you can erase parts of the stamps. It’s more than a one-click.
