Purple was Gramma’s favorite color. She wore purple whenever she went out and she’d never even heard of Prince. MOL! I bet TLPB has heard of Prince cos this week’s 52 Snapshots of Life theme is the color Purple, which TW said was a pawsome book but she never saw the movie. When TW read the theme, she thought of the blog I did with the purple tissue paper. The only other purple in this condo is the area rugs in her bathroom. Pop prefers blue and TW prefers green.
As some of my blog readers know, every week or so I get a new piece of tissue paper to play on and TW likes to match my toys to the tissue paper. I don’t mind purple cos one of my fave flavors of Temptations come in a purple bag.
Now I will don my smock and head over to the easel to see what good art I can come up with for Athena and Marie’s Caturday Art Blog Hop. We did so much with this image it made my head spin. We started with a soft focus action shot where I’m batting at a string so fast my paw is a blur. We started in Photoshop and then tried some stuff in PicMonkey, which turned the purple blue. I think it was a water filter but we liked the texture it provided. We didn’t, however, want the blue since this week’s theme is purple and the tissue was purple so we went back to Photoshop to boost the reds. Here are some of the images before the final product.

How’s your weekend shaping up? Hope it’s less confusing then our art image. March starts tomorrow and let’s hope she brings some warmer temperatures to the East Coast. Are you glad to see February end too?
My human loves purple and has lots of it in her wardrobe. She'd probably get me purple outfits too, but she keeps finding more stuff in pink.

ReplyDeleteThere's a book (so the peep says) that is called "When I am old, I shall wear purple"! Seems a silly title to me, but there you are! The art gets better and better. I think the humans like playing around wasting time on stuff like that. I know mine does, but she don't seem to improve none!! MOL

Love the artwork picture! We've seen that purple toy already, it must be a cat thing. Mom is so excited to find another kitty that loves tissue paper! She used to give all of the tissue from her shopping bags (there were lots) to the cats, sprinkle catnip and the fun started. Love Dolly
