More Moldy Ducks and Fresh Fill-Ins.

Hola kitties! This blog is about news. News about a stunning cat. I post everything you'd ever want to know about ME and what goes on in my condo. F'instance, remember when we just had the moldy ducks cleaned out of our walls? Well the odor returned after the smell of the sanitizer wore off. The peeps were beside themselves wondering what the next step should be. Pop hoped they wouldn't have to open the wall up to evict those ducks

Tuesday, as I was snoopervising TW picking out art for Wednesday's post, we heard a high-pitched screechy whine in the common wall. Apparently those moldy air ducks moved into the next unit and he was having them flushed out. Dunno how they can survive all that noise. It would make a lot of sense that they migrated from next door cos before the new roof was installed, that unit had a lot of leaks. Anyway, keep your paws crossed that the moldy ducks are finally gone. Our room smells fresh again. The moldy duck smell is gone. Didn't they smell it next door for the past month?

The sucky machine arrived. I haven't been paid to pose with it yet so we don't have photos. These pics were taken the other day when it was 70F and the peeps were airing out the room to try to chase the moldy ducks. I enjoyed the whiffies but my asthma didn't cos I did start coughing before I went to bed. Isn't it funny how the mold never bothered me?

Yeah, I ax a lot of questions and now I'll head over to the Friendly Fill-Ins—a feature held once a week at this time—and answer a few. The Friendly Fill-Ins are hosted each and every week by 15andmeowing and Four Legged Furballs. They think up the fill-ins and I fill in the answers. My answers are underlined and in italics. Each week my image relates to one of the fill-ins. This week it relates to number four but it could be three also.

1. My favorite font is cat sans serif. HAH! I think TW likes Blackflower cos that's what we use in Foto Frenzy. BTW, my Foto Frenzy will be back someday unless no one wants to see those flashback fotos.

2. October is perfect for watching the baseball playoffs while snuggling with a cat. Unfortunately TW will never know that feeling cos kitty don't play that game. Watch 'em by yourself, Woman.

3. Where I live, we have 14-foot high vaulted ceilings which I'm still hoping to get up high enough to touch someday. I dunno what makes them vaulted but that's what realtors call them. Any realtors reading this? My Tree of Torture is about seven or eight feet tall and it's nowhere near the ceiling. Perhaps in the image above you can see how far away from the ceiling I still am. TW thinks I should also mention the really nice view from our windows and in the courtyard.

4. I feel very jiggy this time of year. Now that the weather is cooler, I started running and jumping again. The peeps call that jiggy for some reason. I've used every perch on my new Tree of Torture. I jump and climb all over it. I love to scratch on it. I also love using the sisal to work my claws. TW has felt my claws and teeth cos I get so wild on that torture tree I can't help myself but to torture her.

Anyone ready for the resurrection of Foto Frenzy?

More Moldy Ducks and Fresh Fill-Ins.

I suddently realized I only have a couple of weeks to share scary Halloween art so I figured I might as well start now. I made two mashups using this old frightfully stunning pic. I'm gonna share one here and one on my Facebook page on Saturday. Let me know if you have a favorite.

This is my entry in the Caturday Art blog hop which is hosted by the lovely Athena Cat Goddess Wise Kitty and her mum to provide a platform for anipal artists to showcase their latest digital, Photoshop and original art. No talent? No problemo. There are hundreds of one-click apps for desktop or mobile devices that will turn your photos into works of art like this one.

BTW, something unbelievable happened Thursday and I'm going to tell you about it next week if TW provides me with non-blurry fotos. You're not going to believe the story of one woman's betrayal.

Would you like to comment?

  1. How cool that your condo has such high ceilings! We have 'em here too, with beams - and when Binga and the humans first moved here, Binga managed to get on one of the beams! How, no one will ever know.

  2. I would like to see Foto Frenzy back, but you will have to remind me how high the numbers go. I'll start with #3720 and 5916.
I am glad those Moldy Ducks have been evicted from your neighbour and hope they are gone for good.
That is spooky art. Your big eyes are scary, but the mouse would have found them scarier.

  3. I'll bet your asthma won't be as bad CK since those ducks were evicted!

  7. Yes, please bring back the photo frenzy!!! Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, I enjoyed your answers. I had no idea ducks were so troublesome and hard to get rid of. I am sorry about your asthma acting up. That would be cool to climb that high, maybe if your folks get a big frazier, you can climb that. I love your art, Halloween is my favorite. Have a nice weekend! XO

  8. Found this online: Definition: Vault = an arched form extruded into the third dimension used to provide a space with a ceiling or roof. For the sake of argument, however, this article refers to vaulted ceilings as any ceiling that is higher than the standard 8'-10' ceiling height (arched aspect not necessary). Does that help in any way, CK?

  9. hi my friend! Trying to refer someone to your blog and do you know you have NO contact info on it? If it is there I sure can't find it!

  10. The Tribe of Five gets a lot more active this time of year, It's like the feline frolics at our house when all five of us start zipping around, up and down the stairs and the hallways.

  16. Cathy & Keisha,

Moldy ducks I wouldn't like either. I'm so allergic to mold and every time it rains it drives my sinuses bonkers. I hate mold! Vaulted ceilings I'm not a huge fan of, either. I'd say that makes for drafty conditions. Heat rises. Why would I want all my heat some place that I can't feel. Of course, if I had tower like you then I could climb to the top to stay warm in the winter. :) I'm not a baseball fan but I do enjoy football...that is if the players aren't doing something crazy like taking a knee doing the National Anthem, then I'm like "GRRR, dude(s) don't be unappreciative and anti-American! Just play the game!!" Thanks for stopping by for a visit. I hope alls is well on your end other than just being busy, busy. I'm happy that it's autumn again but I don't want to think about winter. Have a safe and fun fall!

    1. With all due respect, I don't agree with your comment about players taking a knee. That is certainly not crazy.

  19. CK! That last photo is stunningly scary!

We sure hope that's the end of those moldy ducks. Maybe it WILL help reduce your asthma attacks?

Love to you, TW and Pop!

  21. Did those nasty ducks not get their eviction notice? They better get out of there, if they know what's good for them. And, CK, we're all feeling jiggy over here, too. When the weather cools down, it's time for all sorts of fun and shenanigans. It's especially fun at about 3 o'clock in the morning. And we can't wait to see all of your Halloween art, CK. This one here is all shades of spooktacular!
