Cross Words About Crosswords

In case you've been living under a rock, The Cat is being seriously ignored. I'm being ignored all the time and for no good reason. Yesterday was the same but different. TW went out at about 11:20 a.m. promising she would only be gone a couple of hours. She rolled in at 5 p.m. That's a lot more than a few hours. Then her behavior got even more puzzling.

Cross Words About Crosswords

The Cat is being ignored and I am puzzled. I haven't had any playtime in ages. [Ed note: Lies, CK. Fake news!] Um, who's this "Ed"? Is TW calling herself Ed now?

Cross Words About Crosswords
Look at this! She's so arrogant, she uses
pen to fill them in! Have you ever …?
Could the lack of inneractive play be cos TW is spending all her time on the computer writing new content and commenting on my furrends' blogs? I wish.

No, my furrends are being ignored too. And so is my blog and social media; all the things this blogging cat needs to be successful. Yesterday's post was ha-ha funny but lacked the substance and content you've come to expect from me. Her addiction to puzzles is interfering in my life, furrendships and blogging career. If it's not crosswords, it's sudoku. She calls it "down time" when she gets to "wind down." I call it goofing off on the job.

Wind down from what? Sitting all day looking at her Facebook page? [Ed note: I haven't been on my page in a week.] Use the comments to tell TW to forget the crossword puzzles and concentrate on ME and my needs. I should always come first and foremost or there will be cross words and a few teeth marks in her hands.

  3. Oh CK! What a travesty! You should get all the attention when they are at home, always, from both, until you are done with it! That's cat law! I do that Sudoku too.. but only in the car so I am distracted by the fact that we're going to die falling off the edge of all this construction and/or bridges and/or someone is driving too fast and/or whatever other freakout of the day I am having.. lol I'm not a great passenger.. puzzles distract! Tell TW to only do them when out of the house too! ;)

  5. Oooh I've heard crossword puzzles can be quite addictive! You gotta bring TW back from the world of puzzles with any means! Cross words and teeth marks might work :-)

  6. CK, is she any good at sudoku puzzles? I rarely can figure out the really hard ones; I need a sudoku tutor!

  9. It's an addiction, so be gentle with her. Hours can fly by in what seems like minutes, so her neglect isn't intentional. Perhaps you should create a crossword for her that has you as the answer to all the questions!

  10. Heck yeah, you are being ignored! Fortunately, for us, our assistant has the attention span of a flea (or some other brainless bug) so she wouldn't last very long with crossword puzzles.

  11. Hee! Hee!!! My Mom can't speel well enough to do crosswords (TW has helped her out a few times, I purrsonally can not believe she works as a writer). Her "thing" is painting. Luckily all her paints got put in the storeroom because we had some company and she is too darn lazy to get them out! Bonus! I get to blog everyday!

  17. TW needs to forget all the games and stuff and pay attention to you, CK. She obviously has forgotten her priorities.

  18. I just don't understand why humans ignore their cats. Don't they know that's what they're here for? To pay attention (feed and pet) their kitties?

  20. My Mom does lots of crossword puzzles but lately she's been playing way too much Freecell on her computer. She says it helps keep her mind off all the stupid human news.

  21. We don't mind crosswords, especially if the subject matter is good. And a crossword about you is EXTRA good, CK!

  22. Manna and Dexter agree that kitties should never be ignored. I hope that you get lots of playtime soon. If I don't give Dexter enough playtime, he starts bringing me toys and standing in front of the computer screen. Your crossword is pawsome!

  23. Oh CK, dear kitty furr-iend... can I do anything for you? What is the hold those games have on your momma - maybe a trance from their corporate creators! I think my mom has been ignoring me, too. Like for instance, my food was taken away from me after dinner & all through the night. I did everything I could to get her to feed me. And then, the next morning she took me to the V-E-T where I stayed till late afternoon! You & I need to remember that we hold power over our humans & we just need to use it more! Hugs! -Valentine (& Mom) of Noir Kitty Mews
