Just recently, 15 and Meowing requested to see #1040. I could have waited until tax day in April to post it but the random generator decided it would look good on today's post. This blurry June 2010 foto—don't adjust your glasses or your computer screen cos the next one ain't much better—catches me in the throes of enjoying a yuge box that happened into the condo. I'd rather sit on top of boxes than in them although I do enjoy both boxes from both sides now. Even though it looks like I'm about the jump down, I wasn't. I'll bet you want to know what was in the box. No? Well then move on to the next foto. This baby has a turntable and lets you convert records to CD so they can be uploaded onto the computer.
Foto #687 was chosen by the Trout Towne Tabbies and harkens way back to December 2009. That red thing over my head is my Christmas stocking. It's even got my picture on it! I'll have to get TW to get some fotos of it this year. I'm playing with a shmousy filled with honeysuckle. Another foto—one that's actually in focus—from the set shows me licking it with my "widdle" pink tongue showing. Dunno why TW is teasing me with that elastic string. That's not part of my toy but it's in all the shots. Perhaps she used the string to get me wild so I'd bite on the toy. She's tricky that way.
The Friendly Fill-Ins are hosted each and every week by 15andmeowing and McGuffy's Reader. They make up the fill-ins and I'm happy to provide the answers. My answers are truthful, so help me Cod. I can't speak for TW since she lies a great deal. That's why I don't let her play along.
2. Every November, I can't wait to participate in the Blog Blast 4 Peace. It's my favorite blogging day. I love seeing all the creative peace globes. It gives me hope for the future.
3. For me, peace is a way of life. My peeps were part of the anti-war/peace movement of the late '60s-early '70s so we know a few things about the politics of peace. Unfortunately, every time we think we're getting closer to world peace, we take 45 steps backwards. TW actually worked on Abie Nathan's Peace Ship which was docked in NJ, to get it ready to sail.
4. So far, my upcoming holiday plans … what plans? Does not compute. I'm a cat. I can only think as far as my next meal. I'm sure the peeps are trying to figure out if they can spend four hunnert dollars at the supermarket to get a free turkey and how they're gonna afford Christmas this year with rising costs around the condo. I guess I'll have a BOGO week for the holidays. If they buy one bite, I'll give them another bite for free. It looks like Fraser will be moving back here in December. The peeps didn't like the fake fraser and returned it. I hope I get some great prezzies from my Secret Paws too.
Tomorrow we'll be participating in the annual Blog Blast 4 Peace, which is perhaps our artiest post of the year. You can see part of our 2014 globe above. This year's post was a little harder to write and illustrate. Usually, we come up with an idea months in advance but not this year. Then we found out we were gonna have to redo the globe we came up with. We'll have something to post tomorrow. We look forward to seeing and reading your peace posts. Namaste and peace out.

Turkey's my fave part of November too.
ReplyDeleteMy paw's up for November turkey also! Although my human says if she has time (ha!) she may cook a goose. I don't think she's done that since the cat before Sparkle!
ReplyDeleteYour fur looks very sleek and lovely in the first photo. In the second photo, would you be insulted if I said you look cute?
ReplyDeleteHey CK, since you love the number 45 so much, have you noticed that 45 is my house number? I'm quite proud of that ;) Love that picture of you playing!
ReplyDeleteThank you for choosing our number this week, or should I thank Randomizer? Great photos. Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. Your Peeps need to spend $100 to get a free turkey- yikes! We have to spend $25 to get one for 59 cents a pound and Stop and Shop lets us use the $7 off coupon from their competitor so it ends up being close to free. I looked up Abie Nathan, sounds like he was an amazing man and that is so cool that TW worked on getting his Peace ship ready. Have a nice weekend! XO
ReplyDeleteBoth photos show you at your most stunning, C.K. We also are looking forward to tomorrow's post. Mom hasn't made our art yet. Peace is certainly in short supply these days. Maybe we'll have a day tomorrow with no mass killings. Wouldn't that be nice. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo and Cooper Murphy
ReplyDeleteGreat pics!
ReplyDeleteWe want peace and love in the world too. For all creatures.

It does look like you were about to jump down in the 1st photo. Wonder what you were watching! It's wonderful TW worked on peace ship to get ready. I agree, peace is a way of life.
ReplyDeleteGreat photo picks, and descriptions, too. We like how you tell us a little more about yourself with your photo picks. Good fill-ins this week!
ReplyDeleteTurkey is a memory here but you never know....another may fly over anytime. hehe
ReplyDeleteYou are charming as ever in your pictures CK. How about #1250 or do you dare show it?

From the Dalai Lama:
ReplyDeleteAs a Buddhist monk, I believe all major religious traditions can help people find inner peace. They may employ different approaches and techniques, but each of them has the potential to help us become better human beings. Therefore, it’s important that there is harmony and respect among them.
Mother Teresa said, "If we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other."
ReplyDeletePeace should be in everything we say and do, every day. When each of us makes that not just a goal, but a way of life, we can achieve peace. I believe. Peace.
Those were terrific photos CK! We love the peace blogging day too!
ReplyDeleteYou look so small in these pictures, CK. I'm all for peace ... I truly don't understand the heart of people who fight and hate - I can't imagine it's worth it. I hate conflict and I withdraw any time I'm around it.
ReplyDeleteps - Tell TW that she's an amazing woman. Her friendship and support means the world to me and she makes me feel better just by being there.

ReplyDeleteWe're big fans of turkey too...though Wally much prefers whipped cream without the pie.

Hey, those are some nice pictures of you, CK. Stunning, of course. :)
ReplyDeleteTurkey??? Oh, yeah! We love us some of that, too (and so do the PAWS cats).
Great pictures and great globe ! We wish you a peaceful day. Purrs
ReplyDeleteTurkey, how I miss you on Thanksgiving. After going veggie, I can't eat turkey anymore on that special day. Have a piece for me, CK!
