Sketchy Business
I thought today I'd show you some sketches I've been working on so I'm opening up my sketch book to you, my readers. I hope you like what you see. I've been a busy kitty over the past week. I'm still debating whether I should throw my beret into the ring and run for president in 2020. Many of our presidents have dabbled in art and some are quite good.
Last week, I started experimenting with a new free art app on the ipawd to up my artistic game. One can't limit one's painting style; one must always be experimenting. Anyway, I never create accounts on these apps. I kept TW up half the night while I created some really cool sketches and tried to save them to my photos. That didn't work so I e-mailed them to myself. That might have worked except the last time I changed my e-mail password, I didn't change it for outgoing mail so it didn't get sent. *head bonk* I was sure I'd lost the black and white one when I tried to re-email it the next day and one of those empty boxes appeared where the art was and all that came through was a link that didn't work.
Last night after creating an account, I found my sketch. Gloriosky! It lives to see another day and gain fame and fortune on this post. I made it larger so you can biggify it to better see my pencil strokes.
I added some color to these next two. I'm not quite ready to endorse this app since it's so hard to figure out and then save from. Most—if not all—of the effects are the same as what you find on LunaPic or DreamScope.
I think they were worth the extra effort. When you use art apps, do you create an account or am I just being overly paranoid?
If you liked my art—or even if you didn't—you can see more feline and pet art by checking out Athena Cat Goddess Wise Kitty for all the creative links to the Caturday Art Blog Hop.

Those are cool sketches - I'm glad you saved your art that you made in that app! We haven't done much art using apps, but when my human does something in one of them, she always downloads it to her phone immediately.
ReplyDeleteSomeday, I hope to have an iPad if my own! I've enjoyed your drawings today
ReplyDeleteThose are very stunning CK!
ReplyDeleteYou are a world class pro at this sketchy business thing, CK! We never get to use any art apps, because the human of a mom here is a lazy Luddite.
ReplyDeleteWell done! These are really nice. I'm going to start playing with drawing again. I used to sketch a lot. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThose pictures came out pretty good. I use Pizap because I can save right to my kindle.
ReplyDeletethose are beautiful!!!!! catchatwithcarenandcody
ReplyDeleteThey are indeed bootyful CK. But, why wouldn't they be, you're in 'em. As fur accounts, mommy gets so angry 'bout every site wantin' us to create an account. She says we have more accounts than we'll ever 'member. But, lessen we absolutely have too, or have purchased somethin', we don't create an account. Big hugs
ReplyDeleteLuv ya'

ReplyDeleteLovely sketches, CK
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful CK!!
ReplyDeleteGreat sketches, CK. Too bad we can't draw. Jan gets so disgusted with every site wanting us to open an account, we just avoid a lot of them.
ReplyDeleteThose look great! We don't usually open an account...it just means more passwords to remember LOL
ReplyDeleteGood grief girl, you look fabulous!

I don't use apps, I just go to sites on my laptop and make one thing then save it in my laptop. I love all your art and I told you, you have my vote for president. XO
ReplyDeleteOh CK! You have outdone yourself this week!
ReplyDeleteThese are awesome! I don't use art apps, but I would be fine with creating an account if I did. And I would support you for president.
ReplyDeleteThose sketches are terrific, CK. And yes, why not run for President in 2020? We would vote for you!
ReplyDeleteYes, yes you should! I would vote for you! I like the idea of a kitty perspective with an eye for design in the White House. That is just what is needed! Mew Mew! -Valentine (& Mom) of Noir Kitty Mews
ReplyDeleteWow! We didn't know you were so talented. And you have our vote for 2020!
ReplyDeleteThose are amazing!
ReplyDeleteWe sometimes create accounts if needed.

Very cool creations.
ReplyDeleteI don't download phone apps, but if I have to create an account somewhere, I have a couple junk email addresses I use.
Those are beautiful. I'm glad the black & white sketch was saved! I create account when necessary, but I don't like all the PR mails that follow. I have e-mail address for those and I rarely check the messages.
ReplyDeleteThose came out really nice! I have never tried that app. I create accounts when needed, but I prefer not to, because it gets too hard to keep track of so many accounts.
ReplyDeletenice collection of sketches :)
