Welcome, kitties, to my studio. Disregard the wine bottle. How did that get in here? It's some fine French CK Nip Chat-donay left over from my 6th blogoversary many years ago. Today I'm going to show you the anatomy of an artwork. I had something different planned but TW found some "lost" pics of ME on a thumb drive. I dunno how they failed to make the cut. I thought ALL my pics were on the hard drive here s
Anyway, some of the pics like the one you'll see today were blurry and out of focus, while others were fine and focused.
This, obviously, is a touching photo of Pop laying some lovin' on the kitteh. Whoa, was Pop ever this young and handsome? It's a classic and one I wish I'd have on my wall. I'm gonna go to work making this a reality.
First I'm gonna sketch out how I want it.
After the sketch is finished to my liking, I'll begin putting colors in. First I tried something traditional. Dunno if I like it.
Then I tried a different interpretation; one that's more modern. Bold brush strokes and somewhat muted colors. What say you, my loyal readers? Which one should I hang on my wall?

I like the last one best! Although the sketch with just a hint of color was nice too!
ReplyDeleteYour modern interpretation with its bold brush strokes contrasting against soft, muted colors is a winner in our book... and we have a cat who knows art! Paws up on that last one!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet find CK! We sure love all the interpretations of your lovely lost find!
ReplyDeleteNice effects ! We love the first one ! Purrs
ReplyDeleteI like the first and last the best, but I also think that was a lovely capture when the photo was taken.
ReplyDeleteWowwwww! We love the whole post, and your catchy red bandanna we are swooning over. As far as the other pix all of which we love, our favorite is the black and white one because you have a real story there and the bw enhances the story of kitty being loved by human pops!
ReplyDeleteI like the last one too. It's obvious you're a daddy's girl!
ReplyDeleteThe bold brush strokes and somewhat muted colors gets our vote, but they are all fabulous, with such wonderful models how could they not be purrfectly divine.
ReplyDeleteI'd say that last one is the wall hanger too CK and we love seeing you and your Pop!
ReplyDeleteThat is a very sweet photo of you with your Pops. I like the effects you added. XO
ReplyDeleteWe love this pic of you and Pop, CK. And we love what you did to it to make it more artful.
