Freonless Flashback Friday and Fill-Ins

https://threechattycats.com/

It's something like a hunnert degrees in here. Neither of us feel much like working. The sweat is dripping off TW and she's spitting mad. Late this afternoon, she discovered the a/c had been running but the condo was 79 degrees. She went near the vent and didn't feel cool coming out which could only mean one thing. The a/c needed more coolant. We've been through that before. In fact, we just filled it up last year. It shouldn't need refilling already.

TW called downstairs to get the number of someone to refill the unit. No one answered at the a/c place so she called the front desk again. That's when she found out that the maintenance staff leaves at 6 p.m. and even if someone did come, there was no one to let them on the roof. TW was furious! Back when our maintenance costs were less than half what they are today, there was a live-in super who was on-call for emergencies like that.

Anywho, she's trying to keep me quiet so I won't overheat. I usually don't do well in temperatures over 73F. It's now 82 in here. But on to the business of Flashback Friday Fotos and Fill-Ins.

#490 is from September 2009 and was selected by the Florida Furkids. I understand their dad could use some healing purrz. TW found me on Pop's bed and thought she's take some closeups of my stunning face only I don't think she was using the mackerel setting on the camera since they aren't very good. She could have also had the flash off and her hand shook. There's been a couple of fotos from that shoot featured in the Foto Frenzy.

Three Chatty Cats chose #6547 from March 2016. I'd just finished eating and was heading for the tissue paper to engage TW in a game of feather under the paper. She was in the midst of her "trying to get a foto of CK walking toward her" phase hence this foto. My laser eyes warned her to stop this silliness and start playing.

The Friendly Fill-Ins are hosted by 15andmeowing and McGuffy's Reader. I'll try my best to provide truthful answers. No fake news on this blog.

1. My favorite thing on my daily to-do list is (you should be able to guess this) bite TW and Pop.
2. My least favorite thing on my daily to-do list is stand in the hall and beg TW for some attention.
3. I could really do without see above #2.
4. I would love to have more Chinese food and attention. Right now, though, I would love to have some air conditioning.

  2. What a bummer that it's so hot in your condo, CK! Our office is at least that hot because the A/C doesn't work well up here and we live in a house.

  3. Hope things cool down at your place! What fun to see the photo we picked! Thanks for the purrz for our Dad.

  4. This heat is genuinely yucky, and we sure are sorry to hear about your lazy A/C, CK. It is simply too hot to have to deal with such inconveniences, and they better get that fixed for you quicker than quick. Do they know who you are, CK? Maybe if you told them of your fame and downright stunningness, they'd hurry up. Sending lots of cool vibes your way!

  6. We have one window a/c unit at Eastside Cats...and a parade of fans to waft that cool air around a bit. That is, if Chuck doesn't decide to pull the cords out from the sockets!

  7. We hope you can get that a/c fixed pronto before you both melt! So sorry you're not able to handle the temperatures well, CK. It must be your asthma. Katie and Waffles can't get enough of the heat. They're constantly seeking out the warmest sun puddles so they can bake in them.

    Sending cooling thoughts your way!

  9. Hahahaha. Yep. Biting is a favorite around here too (for Bear). Our poor kitties get more attention than they bargain for though ;) You shouldn't have to beg, CK! I mean you're STUNNING and all!!!

  10. C.K., we are so sorry to hear that you and TW and Pop do not have air. That is ridiculous. Old people, like our folks, can croak if it gets too hot. We are not even enjoying catio time due to the extreme heat. Our mom does not to well in heat either. Hope the a/c gets fixed soon. We really like that first photo. 12. I'm so sorry that your air conditioner isn't working. That is awful. One thing that has helped me in the past in similar circumstances is to have a snow scene as my desktop wallpaper. The power of suggestion can really be a big help. Another thing that helps when our AC isn't blowing properly is to vacuum it out. I am not exactly sure what David vacuums in there, but when he is able to get around to the comments, maybe he will tell you how to do it. We're having to share this computer right now, so it will be awhile before he's on it again.

I hope you can get cool again very soon. Have a blessed weekend!

  14. I hope your A/C is soon fixed and you can keep cool. We don't have A/C here because it doesn't usually get above 70. When we had the hot spell a few weeks ago it was almost 90 and very humid. The pills I have to take for my health problem mean I have more problem than usual tolerating high temperatures so I know how you feel.
It was never too hot for Flynn though. He would go and sleep in the greenhouse on the hottest of days.

  15. Sorry about your A/C. I hope it gets fixed soon, that is way too hot for you. I like these photos, you may not think they are perfect, but I do. Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. Why did I know that would be your answer to #1? :) Sorry you have to beg for attention that is not right. I hope you have a cooler weekend! XO

  16. How horrendous. I hope it's fixed by now and that you're feeling better. Mudpie hates the heat too but thankfully it doesn't affect her asthma. She actually hasn't had a cough for 3 weeks now! *knock on wood*

  17. We hope you can get it fixed soon. A/C that is properly maintained will not leak Freon at all. If they were doing their job, you would be cool all summer long. Have a great week.

  18. CK, we saw on FB that your a/c has been fixed. We sure hope it's cooler now and TW can stop sweating.

  19. I still got that extra fan if this happens again. If you place it far enough back, the breeze will be so slight you won't notice it. Ha...ya right....if you're like me you could feel it from 20 feet away.

  20. We don't have AC so the Farm cats just try and find a cool place to hang when the temps get high. It's been hovering around 90 - 100 lately so they've been pretty quiet. I hope you feel better CK

  21. Ugh! That's terrible, CK. We saw on FB that you finally got it fixed ... we hope it's all cooled off in there by now. <3

  22. Oh gosh, no AC?!? Ugh! Double ugh! I can't imagine how awful that was.
