Brief Midweek Excursion into the Unknown

Brief Midweek Excursion into the Unknown

April 2010

It's another blah day with nothing to post about. It's been raining so it's hard to get new fotos. I have a couple of review posts half-done but not ready to put up yet. We took a vote and decided a foto frenzy would have to do. I haven't been allowed to visit the past few days so I don't expect much action but it's OK. I'm doing this for those who care. TW has mentioned something about a life outside of blogging—GASP!

I'm sitting on the kitchen table (above) for this foto shoot. One night TW discovered she didn't need the flash if the table lamp was turned on all the way and she rested the camera on something. I love the way the light casts a yellow glow on me. I'm all for not using the flash on the flashy box and I look stunning.

Chosen by Cooper Murphy from Kitties Blue
March 2011

Have you guys met Cooper Murphy? He's the new family member at Kitties Blue. He made a request last week which I couldn't turn down. I want him to feel welcome. One of the games I play with TW is she wiggles (Try to get that picture out of your head!) the peacock feather on my pink cat perch and I try to grab it. Whew, as long as it's only the feather that wiggles. Usually she does it on the top level so I have to stand on my two back feet, but not in this foto even though I am on two feet. That yellow pail holds our recyclable cans and bottles, not that brand of litter. There's also a funny story about the metal garbage pail. The peeps spent a lot of green papers on it and about a month after they bought it, TW threw the garbage—including the inside pail—down the garbage chute. Did she learn to look? No, she did that with the next pail too. Now we have a cheapo plastic pail which we've had since, well, 2011.

See you soon with some reviews and some exciting news and maybe even a giveaway.

  1. Photo #1...grumpy, but still stunning. Cooper Murphy is so excited that you picked the photo to match his Gotcha Day. Though somewhere between one and two years old, he is still a kitten at heart. He loves the catio, loves to play and then crashes. Mom says that Fiona sent him to us to brighten up our lives after a year of sadness. We will not think about TW wiggling! Thanks, C.K. 5. You are stunning as always CK. It is raining here too - on top of the two feet of snow. This is not going to be good for walking.

  6. What does TW mean by a life outside of blogging? Blogging is all that matters- as long as it is about cats :) Cooper Murphy is a cutie, how nice of you to make him feel welcome. Great photo choices.

  7. Hooray for Foto Frenzy! (And we're not just saying that because ours was chosen today!) These are both so purrfect in their own ways, CK. We are especially in love with the one that we chose, though. You're as stunning as ever, CK, and we happen to love photos with a rustic, yellowish tint to them. So, purrfection!

  12. We always enjoy foto frenzies, CK. Have you ever thought about turning this into a blog hop and having everybuddy play along. You would give out a number and everybuddy would post that photo and explain what was going on in it. Just a thought.

  13. It's all about experimentation with photography, isn't it? That's too funny about the garbage pail liner :) And I second the Island Cats suggestion!

  14. Stunning photos, CK! I really like the yellow light on you too. It's pawsome that you got to play with a peacock feather. Manna and Dexter are jealous!

  16. I love the look on your face in that top photo. In fact, Rosie is giving me the very same look right now as I type. She wants her chair back ...that's I'm sitting in.
