A Difference of Opinion

A Difference of Opinion
I gotta listen to the police scanner to see if TW gets arrested.

If you've ever read this blog before, you won't find it strange that TW and I have the occasional difference of opinion. OK, we disagree a lot. TW is going on jury duty tomorrow. She has to leave very early in the morning which bums her out since her normal "business" hours are 10 am to 1 am. I'm upset cos I haven't been left alone all day in ages. I'll starve to death if I don't get my lunch at noon. Beside those differences, there's the dilemma of how she'll be spending those days away from The Cat.

How she thinks she'll be spending her time
  1. Reading real books with pages
  2. Doing crossword and sudoku puzzles
  3. Playing computer games on the i-pawd
  4. Listening to music and watching videos
What I think she'll do doing aka what she'll really be doing
  1. Commenting on every pet blog that's ever been written
  2. Writing new blog posts
  3. Editing old blog posts (adding key words, removing broken links, etc)
  4. Writing to brands axing them to send me freebies and sponsor giveaways.
Frankly, both TW and myself agree on one thing; jury duty is a waste of time for her. Not many little old ladies are committing crimes so she isn't really any real alleged criminal's peer.

This little kitteh isn't a stranger to a courtroom. I once played a DA as in Defense Attorney in the smash hit video "Katie is … Accused." You can find many of our furrends in the video produced and directed by Glogirly.

Can you think of anything else TW should be doing for me while she's on jury duty?

Would you like to comment?

  1. The last time my human was called up for jury duty - which actually wasn't all that long ago - she got to the voir dire phase and was booted for asking too many obnoxious questions. She couldn't help it, she doesn't know anything about the judicial process and wanted to make sure she knew what was going on.

  9. I've never been called for jury duty. My sister was just on jury duty recently, though. Our courtroom doesn't allow any electronic devices inside, so she was without any communication with the outside world. Needless to say, she was less than thrilled.

CK, tell TW that we sure hope she can find a way to make jury duty fun! You know, like by coming up with lots of new toys to get you and lots of new treats to feed you...

  11. Yikes!!! As long as she doesn't haul you off to Jury Duty along with her ----- boring!!! If she wants to get out of it, tell her to tell them the minute she sits down on the jury box - "GUILTY." That should get her off the case and back home to you.

  13. Bummer that TW has to go to jury duty. Here they won't let you bring your phone or ipad into the jury waiting room...so you're stuck watching whatever movie they decide to show or read a book...a real book...not a kindle.

  14. I've never been called for jury duty *knock on wood*

On Wednesday Mudpie will be left home alone all day too because her grandpa is having surgery. I know how TW feels because I hate the thoughts of leaving her too.

  15. You can have lunch on time. Just swipe The Woman's plastic card and use it to order whatever you want. She won't be using if while she's on jury duty.

  19. Our mom would love to be called for jury duty but alas, no calls. I think we'd have a ball with dad in charge. Many, many games of in/out/in/out/in/out and all we'd have to do is sit in the kitchen and he'd feed us whatever we want. He's fun. Mom not so much. You can make it CK.

  23. Our mom sat on a jury once...it was a very discouraging outcome due to one wrong-thinking, obstinate jury member. We hope Mom TW is just sitting around doing any and all of those things mentioned. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
