Cat Food Your Staff Will Want to Feed You

Cat Food Your Staff Will Want to Feed You
Let me wash my paws before I eat.

Everyone knows which food is my favorite but TW is always looking to better my diet. She jumped at the chance to try Tiki Cat Gourmet Carnivore Cat Food from Chewy.com. My online furrend Herbie and his 8 fursibs have loved Tiki Cat food for years but TW was too cheap to try it. I know what you're axing—it's no more expensive than other premium foods and cheaper than some.

Tiki Cat's food is developed with nutrients that are Biologically Appropriate—they mimic our natural prey—for cats. What better way to try it than get the variety pack which includes Beef & Liver, Beef Liver & Chicken, Beef Liver & Lamb, Bonito Tuna, Chicken & Liver, Chicken with Duck, Chicken with Turkey, Seabass and Tilapia. One look at the ingredients tells you this is some prime food.

Cat Food Your Staff Will Want to Feed You

Gourmet Carnivore contains 95% meat with no fruits, veggies, grains, carrageenan/gums or any of the other stuff that is normally added to cat food. The other 5% is olive oil and the vitamins cats need to maintain their health. It contains organ meat to give it the ultimate wild prey nutrient profile and is low glycemic so it's perfect for cats with diabetes or heart disease. This image will tell you some of the key benefits.

What's more, if you go to the Tiki Cat site, they'll tell you exactly how the food is made and even what species they use! I say TMI (too much info) but some cat staff might want to know. Either way, you'll want to try it for yourself. Chewy has the variety pack on sale so stock up.

Note from TW: In the spirit of full disclosure, I liked this food a heck of a lot more than CK. She wouldn't go near the first two cans I gave her. I love that it's mostly meat (protein) and contains a lot of broth since CK doesn't drink water. Perhaps I can still convince her to try it. I'd recommend it to pet parents who care about their cat's diet.

Note from CK: Guess what? I love this food. TW tried feeding it to me outta the can and I lapped all the gravy. Then she placed it in a dish and I ate about half of the meat. I've finished almost half the 12-pack we got. I even ate the beef and I don't like beef at all. It's a cat's prerogative to change her mind and I did.

  1. CK, you should give it a try! We love it, and the only reason we don't eat more of it is because, yes, it's rather pricey!

  2. I wanted both Truffles and Mudpie to love that food, but they had other ideas :(

  3. Our cats will eat anything, but Ruby can be more selective. There have been several foods that I have really liked (because they were healthy) but Ruby just wasn't interested.

  4. That sounds really good food. Humans and kitties often disagree what to eat..but maybe you change your mind and try some on another day :-)

  7. Too bad CK wouldn't try it - we know Tiki Cat has high quality noms. We got the variety pack to try, too. The Mom says she will open a can of it for us to try later today. She says she didn't know it was low glycemic, and she says that is very cool. Hopefully CK will decide to try some a little later. If not, we guess the community kitties will get some nice tasty noms :)

  8. yep,we are a lot alike CK. I wouldn't touch it either when Mom L brought it home for me to try. Doesn't mean it isn't high quality food, it just means I have particular taste buds, na'mean?

  9. I had tried a can of that one time and wouldn't touch it. M had to throw it out. M says I'm picky with what I will eat. She tries to feed me healthy, but I don't want any part of it.

  18. We like TikiCat. But we wish they had more non-fish flavors since we don't usually eat a lot of fish.

  19. Cinco and Manna got to try a little bit of TikiCat food once and they loved it! I was surprised that they would even touch it because it was tuna and they don't typically go for fish. I have been seeing a trend, though - the higher quality the fish is, the more likely that they will eat it. I hope that you will decide to give it a try one day, CK!

  20. Well, it sounds pretty nommy, CK, but we understand when you say you don't like it. Gracie and Zoe are pretty picky eaters, too. Girls gotta have standards, right?

  21. We all loved this food, CK, but cats don't all have the same appetite. We don't always agree on what we like.
