CALLING ALL CATS, CALLING ALL CATS! 10-13! 10-13! We need all paws on deck. Can you say missing toys? Can you say emergency? I'm putting out an All Points Bulletin for missing toys.
TW just confided to me something that sent chills up and down my spine. Some of my favorite toys have gone missing. Vanished. Vamoose. Into thin air. In fact they've been missing for quite some time and I'm just finding out now. I kinda knew one of them had been missing but was shocked there are others.
1. My "beach ball." I hadn't seen this for a long time and TW has been looking for it albeit not very hard. It was one of the first things I got from Nip & Bones and I really liked to bat it around. It's pink and purple and reminded TW of a beach ball. Maybe you've seen it or maybe not since this seems to be the only pic we have of it. Pop thought it was a casualty of the great attack of the killer moths but that's unlikely since it has no feathers or fur.
2. My original Skinneeez shmousy and one of the impostors. I'm not one to hide toys under the furniture or anything. I'm very careful with my toys plus there's not many places to hide them around here. I'm hoping TW didn't give those away. I think it's high time she started an all-points search for them. I know I still have two on Pop's bed but one can't have too many Skinneeez shmousies.
3. This really shocked me. The truffles from Catnip Confections have gone missing. It's true! The entire box!!! TW recently bought a new basket for my toys but she didn't put these in the new basket. She doesn't keep them out all the time cos she thinks I'll grow tired of them or they'll lose their smell or some flimsy excuse. Today she went to take them out and they were gone! I won't name names but I have had a few of my man cats teleport over here but I certainly wouldn't want to accuse any of them. I also won't name names but some woman better be ordering another box for me STAT!

I know we have a gum gnome around here but he best not be taking my stuff or I'll mess him up good. Do you or your humans hide your toys?
I will tell you the troof, my darling: I hide my own toys...they disappear under the fridge or the chairs, or other furniture and the Human refuses to go on a hunt. She says I have so many I can play with OTHER toys, but sometimes I really, really miss my sisal mousies with the floofy little tails. Where oh where can they be? Do *YOU* have them????
ReplyDeleteWhat?! How can you be missing a whole BOX of toys? Your humans can't be as slobby as my human - I have loads of toys I may never see again because who knows what they have vanished under?

ReplyDeleteMes and the Mom can't find my Tickle Pickle. Hers says mes hid it somewheres. Mes said hers is mad - mes didn't hide my favorite toy! Maybe our toys are hiding together somewheres....

Our toys go missing from time to time, too. Sometimes they show up, sometimes they are just forgotten.. It's really shocking the box of truffles is gone missing. You do need a new box ASAP!

ReplyDeleteThere definitely is a toy snatcher in your house. I hope you find out who it is before he/she takes anything else. Don't feel bad, there is one of those in our house too. Oh, maybe ours moved over to your house because lately everything is right where it should be.

ReplyDeleteMudpie is always misplacing toys but then all of a sudden they reappear and she's like, "I knew where they were all along!"
Oh CK!!! Dat's happened to us too. Our Yeowww nip nanners have been missin' fur quite sum time. We's all looked everywhere and we just can't find them. There's no way mommy wuld put them away, cuz we played wiff them all da time. But they're just gone. Not a trace and we don't knmow where. We's need a APB fur them too. Good luck.

Dang CK, I sure hope they turn up. Sister Zoe keeps track of our toys so it isn't likely any would get hidden with her on duty!

ReplyDeleteOur toys are always hiding under the china cabinet. They're scared of us and they think they'll be safe there. But every once and awhile, the mom fishes them out from under there.

ReplyDeleteHi CK, yous knows, mes don't plays much with toys anymore, but mes used to has my own hoard! And mes HATED sharing. Right now my favorite toy is Mommy's hand, and mes ALWAYS knows where that is!

Hopefully your toys will turn up soon. My human doesn't hide mine, but sometimes my favorite little sparkly balls seem to disappear. Mom really has no idea where they go so she just orders more.
ReplyDeleteFiona loves to bat her toys under the fridge and stove. The rest of us just drag them all over the house. Mom is often surprised where she finds them. And we know for a fact that she sucked one up with the vacuum cleaner just last week. We saw her try to retrieve it from the collection bag, but she couldn't seem to find it. That's awful! I wonder where they went. It's okay when some of mine go missing because I know they will turn up in a week or so all freshly marinated in nip.
