Nip Heaven

TW sez she’s at her wits end. I didn’t know she had another wit besides nit. Oh yeah—half. Heh heh. She sez she can’t get me to play anymore. I follow her around and stand in her way in the hall but toys don't seem to innerest me. I don’t play hockey with my green ball anymore. My rockets no long excite me. Wand toy? Nope. Crinkle ball? Try again. She’s even put fesh nip in my refillable nip toys and fresh valerian—thanks to the Katnip Loung krew—in my valerian cow. Didn’t do a thing for me. OK, eventually I did go wild for the refilled cow. I need something new and exciting.

Seemingly on cue, I received a box of toys from The Natural Pet Company. TW was sure I’d love them since we’d read rave reviews all over the Blogosphere about them. I sniffed; “try again.” TW sweetened the pot by letting me sample their nip. I hardly noticed the flashy box as I reveled in the nip.

Let me review the nip first and what beautiful, glorious nip it is. On one hand, I don’t play with nip toys but I love to nibble on the nip. This was primo nip. This was five star nip. This nip was heaven. When TW opened it, a cloud of nip rose up and hit her in the face. I was on the table in an instant. Can you say maximum strength, baby?

I also received their wand toy with two feather refills; cat toys mega pack which includes one plush interactive feather wand, three wicker bell balls and one mouse rattle chew; and 4-oz pouch of catnip. Their toys are eco-friendly cos they’re made of all natural materials that won’t hurt your cat, although you may want to cut the ribbon and bells off. I feel I must warn you the wicker balls don’t stand up well when you have humans with big feet who insist on stepping on your toys. Within 30 seconds after throwing me one of the balls, TW had crushed it as well as my spirit.

The wand is 32 inches long so it’s the perfect toy to exercise us cats without the danger of our claws accidentally scratching our humans. Yo, Woman, when my claws connect with you, it’s no accident! I actually prefer stretchy strings on my wand toys cos it’s better to bite on.

To be fair, I received these toys while I was sick with the asthma and vaccine reaction so I wasn’t jumping much after any toy. I will revisit them in a few weeks and see if I can play with them before TW crushes them. I did like to chew on the mouse rattle chew’s tailio.

Disclaimer: I received these toys and the nip for free. The words and images are my own. No one puts words into this kitteh’s mouth.

  8. CK! You and I are acting the same way. I mean the walking around behind mom, no interest in anything.
I finally, after 2 weeks, got back to being myself. Hey, have you heard anything about Boris? His blog page seems not to have changed unless it did last 24 hrs.

Cat Claws also has premium nip. Just saying'.

    xxoox

  11. We loved our Natural Pet Company toys too...the balls especially. And we also took the ribbons off because Truffles felt that the ball rolled better without them :)

CK, you just kill me with your stories about how TW keeps stepping on your toys!!!

  14. That's a great review! They do have very good toys. I sometimes have hard time getting my boys into play, so I understand TW's struggle to excite you. It's always good to try something new. I do hope she won't crash your toy and spirit again :-)

  15. We've heard FAB things about Natural Pet Company's nip and toys too! Great review, CK. I predict you'll be chasing those feathers in no time. ...that is if you can get your head out of the nip cloud.

  18. Oh CK, now you sound like me - that's how I am without being sick. The only thing I like is some good quality catnip and I do like my Neko Fly stuff. M tries to bring me something new and I just turn my nose up at it. M thinks we are both too young not to want to play, but she's at her wit's end too.

  21. A little nip makes a dull day so much more interesting, doesn't it, CK? Great review.

  22. That is some of the best nip we've ever had.

  23. We got those toys and nip from The Natural Pet Company too - and actually did our nip review today too! We loved everything, but you're right - those wicker bell balls get crushed easily. We have had a casualty thanks to Dad's big feet, and then mom's too. A double whammy. Not cool, mom and dad, not cool.

  24. Well, see, I was just making a silly joke about Samson and Delilah cause the Stoopy Human sliced my earsies off in the picture but nobody got it and I was gonna try to explain it on the blog today but then I thought, "Just give it up." So I did. Ha ha meow XOXOXOXOX

  25. That nip sounds wonderful. My mum marinates some of my favourite toys in nip for a week then changes it for some of my other favourites. It gives me the munchies and makes me see flying pigs on the curtain poles.

  26. My goodness CK....sounds like you really lucked out with that "care package" full of fun! I don't play much these days myself - not because I'm not feeling well - I'm just old! But I'm glad you found some GOOD things in the package including the nip that everyone says is THE BEST. You deserve THE BEST!

    Hugs, Sammy

  27. I still have some of their Primo Nip. It is the very first nip I ever paid attention to. BFGF I am also not playing anymore. WE think it is the heat...but I have not been up for playin' for about a week now. Mom L gets her knickers twisted when I do this...heh...heh

  28. Hello my little lovey girl, You look awesome in your picture today. Are you still all nipped out? I'll have to try some of this because usually I am not a big nip boy, but I'm always open to giving it another try. XOXO

  29. Great review! and by now I sure hope you are feeling much better. I saved the nip for last and by then, the cats were worn out from playing with the toys. We had a grand Mellow Yellow fest, though.
