Hmmm, if I focus on TW’s hand long enough, maybe I can taste it. Sorry I didn’t see you here. I was too focused. Actually this photo earned TW a bitten calf for shining the flashy box in my face. If I ever go blind, it’s all on her. Still, it’s a stunning photo and it’s in focus.
Once again I’m combining the Saturday PhotoHunt and the Caturday Art Blog Hop into one post. It’s double your fun time. This week’s photo hunt theme is focus, a word that’s seldom used to describe TW’s photos. Click on the links to see more photos and art.
I know you’re gonna find this hard to believe but we couldn’t find that many of TW photos that were out of focus! Since she started using the automatic setting, her pics aren’t that out of focus. They’re more grainy and dark. She sez that’s cos I won’t let her use flash. That’s right, TW, blame the victim. Her closeups, like the photo that leads off this post, look much better using the mackerel setting on the Olympus.
Enough chatter, CK. Get to the art already! OK, here we go. Here’s an early before and after shot. A simple filter—don’t ax me which one—made this photo usable.
This one is more grainy than out of focus. We corrected it with an emboss filter. It certainly sharpened it. I’m gonna put the untouched version on Facebook, if TW conveniently hasn’t forgotten which photo it is.
Thanks for all the compliments on the CK candle last week. TW never, ever burns decorative candles. We have some holiday candles from a couple of centuries ago that she's never lit. The flame was just for effect—not that we actually have a CK candle.
That last pic of you is just lovely, CK! We like to "focus" on your pretty face!

Cool pictures this week, CK! I especially like the last one.
ReplyDeleteYou look good no matter the application
ReplyDeletePawsome photos!
ReplyDeleteOnce again you (and TW, just a tiny bit) shame our Mommy with your artsiness! Gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteHello my sweet darling! Miss me? I am so sorry my Human has SO MUCH FAIL.
ReplyDeleteWe should be back to normal--whatever that is--by Sunday XOXOXO
Lovely pix CK and we loved the arty one best. Have a super Saturday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
I love the focused pic of yours. Totally stunning!
ReplyDeleteAnd great art made from out of focus pic!
Our female human only knows one camera setting, and that is a combination of out of focus and dark and grainy. What a talent she is! That's why only the male human is allowed to take pictures. Thank heavens he knows what he's doing or we would would have to demand our blog be pulled from the Internet.

Looks beautiful! Flash is a must here too and Truffles hates it, but I get headaches so easily I just can't have tons of light coming in :(
ReplyDeleteWe love all your pictures and we especially are sweet on the last one with the emboss filter you said you used. PS: Is that your friend, George?
ReplyDeleteFun photos with the filters! So do filters now mean there are no throwaway photos?
ReplyDeleteLooks like George is napping on the job again. You should tell Sanjee on him. hehe Flash is fooey.
ReplyDeleteYou sure are stunning !! Happy Caturday.

Focus is always a good thing--something that's elusive to my Mom many times. We all need to sit still, huh, CK? :)
ReplyDeleteI never would have thought to rescue an out of focus photo with a filter. What a great idea!

You are so good at this! I love the third piece of art! I am happy you added a link to the candle, too, or I would have missed it.
ReplyDeleteI got a fancy new phone after the last one went south so hope I can do a little better with my photos - if I can get them off the phone. When I figure that out, I need to work on how to answer the phone. First thing first.
Gosh CK.....you're always stunning and always in focus as far as I'm concerned.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Sam
We love your photos, CK!
ReplyDeleteWe thinks TW shouldn't blame you (the cute one) for hers out of focus photos, MOL :)
All your photos are good CK but in that first one you look so intense and truly stunning.
ReplyDeleteSharp or blurry...
ReplyDeleteSmooth or grainy...
You are ALWAYS Stunning, CK.
xo
Well, here it is Sunday and the Human is not so much back to normal. In fact, she appears to be in some bizarro online funk that she is not snapping out of fast enough to please me. She did almost NUFFING this weekend that was for *my* benefit--can you believe she went to Target today and brought me NOTHING at all??? I hope your weekend is better than mine, my sweet. XOXOXO
ReplyDeleteWe seem to love ALL photos of you, CK. That first one is SUPER-stunning. :)
ReplyDeleteWe think it's criminal that humans don;'t know how to catch our insane furry beauty at ALL times. They are sorely lacking and need remedial training, dontcha think?
