Sunday EZ With Balsam

Notice my cat trees on either side of Balsam,
who is nekkid as a jaybird.
The peeps went and picked up a tree. I thought they were going to bring Fraser back but they came home with someone new. I guess Fraser either retired or the peeps told him his services were no longer needed. They say a line was forming to grab Balsam if they didn't hire him. Uncle Vince even wanted him. So Balsam is now living with us and I don't like him. He took up residence by the window. To accommodate him, the peeps shoved my cat trees away from the window.  In the photo, you can see how my poor cat trees were tossed aside like dirt. They had taken my tunnels out of the living room but they did the smart thing and returned them tonight.

Tomorrow the peeps will dress Balsam in lights and glittery bling ornaments. While they're doing this, they will forget they have a cat unless I get into one of the ornament boxes. Then they'll be all like "no Keisha" and "don't go in there, Keisha."

It's best I just take it easy today and hope that when I wake up, Balsam will be gone and my cat trees will be in their rightful place. Did I mention that the peeps came home so late, I missed my entire DJ shift tonight?? Why oh why does this cat have to suffer so!!!

All I want is what I deserve. My furniture shouldn't be moved to accommodate interlopers. Zzzzzzzz.

  1. Um. Have you ever noticed how Balsam smells like cat pee? You might be able to get away with some Major Infractions...and retribution!
    Just sayin'.

  4. Well I predict that Balsam will need some additional styling tips once Pops and TW are done blinging him out. That's where you come in.
    ; )

Thanks to Waffles TOO, I don't think we'll be having Fraser, Balsam or even Fir over for the holidays.

  7. Hi Keisha. You always make us smile! Just think of Balsam as something else that belongs to you. We're happy your Mama is feeling better.

  8. I think Balsam can provide a much better entertainment than your cat trees!

  9. Well, my advice is to use Balsam as your cat tree. Have fun! Purrrrrrrrrrrrrrs.

  10. Well at least now you have a real tree. Looks like its got lots of places to hide and stuff. Plus maybe some cool bling to play with once its decorated.

  11. CK, I thought the holidays were supposed to be all about being kind to kitties and worshipping them and putting them on a pedestal! How can your humans shove your cat tree and other belongings into dark corners merely to accommodate some dumb stump? I think Christmas rules are being broken!

  12. Balsam looks like he has lots of nice thick branches. Our tree is going up in stages - first the bare tree, then some lights, now a few ornaments. Bit by bit. These humans tire easily.

  13. We know this one. Our furniture gets moved around and we get told to stay away from it. So much for Christmas, bah humbug. Have a super Sunday Keisha.
    Best wishes Molly

  15. We love the smell of a fresh tree, but M doesn't get them anymore. Gasp, in fact this year they bought a dinky fake one. It's not as much fun, but I still manage to sleep under it.

  16. We got a fake tree in our house, CK. We wished we had one of those live balsams, but Ernie likes to climb in the tree and the mom doesn't want tree juice all over him. We told her that the tree doesn't juice anymore, but she's not listening to us.

Have you tried to climb the Balsam yet or are you waiting for the bling?

  20. poor Keisha! I do have to agree with you.....Balsam should be moved to a different spot, not YOUR stuff!

  21. Darling, darling, darling! You look pawsitively snugglicious there curled up like that! I am going to fire up my tunnel and teleport over RIGHT NOW. Don't move.

  23. awww...kitty peeps are strange. Our cat never understood why the peeps brought a tree indoors, unless if it was for him to climb and get the cute cat toys with strings hanging from the tree... Isn't it one of those "smart" kitty toys?

  26. YOU MISSED DJing??? Unheard of!! And just an FYI, MY TREE was not moved, the peeps had to put that xmas fake tree somewhere so as to NOT move my cat tree...not that I am using it right now, but it's the point, right?...stand up for your rights CK, paw pats, Savvy

  27. Hmmm, I side with you CK, I don't go for that moving cat tree business...but I've never had a Fraser or a Balsam, I thinks my Human does not trust me...
