Tuxedo Cat Appreciation Day Commentathon

Hola kitties! Today is the most important holiday of the year! It's Tuxedo Cat Appreciation Day! Back in 2016 I declared that on this day we would honor tuxedo cats when I noticed special days for ginger cats and black cats but none for us tuxies. On this day we 'specially honor one particular tuxie—Me. You may ax why. It's my 14th Gotcha Day! What a coinkydink that they fall on the same day.

Everyone knows my "story" as I tell it but truth be told no one knows my real background … where I came from … how old I was when I entered the shelter system … what condition I was found in. All that is known is I was rescued from a kill shelter in Jersey City and wound up at an adoption event in Hoboken.

Chances are now if you go to most good rescues' web sites or PetFinder pages, you can find a brief history of the cat you'd like to adopt—if the cat was dumped, the approximate age, where they were found, if there are health concerns, etc. Perhaps Tuxie was found in a parking lot of a supermarket along with a mother cat and two siblings all of which were covered with fleas and suffering from bad colds. That's no reason not to adopt but you know her story.

There was nothing on me. No medical history, no family history. Just a few stunning photos. In fact they had three different intake days listed for me so we're not sure when my birthday is. Apparently I was an orphaned juvenile delinquent in the wrong place at the right time. But that's OK. None of that matters cos this little ghetto kitteh made something of herself.

It's my 14th Gotcha Day and I talked the peeps into both a commentathon AND giveaway.

My favorite toy is my Furbit from The Ecstatic Cat which I've named Furbie. TW bought a few extra Furbits for Christmas and I'd like to share the wealth with two of my furrends. Some of your humans may object to you having real fur to play with. I say they should get over it cos it's only a cat toy to make their cat happy and not like it's a fur coat or something cos TW isn't down with humans wearing animals. I don't think I've ever had 50 comments on one post so this will be a good goal.
