Love and Other Out-of-Body Experiences

Does this title sound a little odd? Once you read the post you'll understand. TW is odd. She turned this Flashback Friday Fill-in Foto Frenzy into a big snafu. The good thing is that the foto(s) chosen were from February 12, 2017 so they reflect the Valentine's Day holiday approaching us—not that we rigged it or anything. Would we do that?

Love and Other Out of Body Experiences

Marv Marvelous picked #7901 or, wait, was it 7902? TW had it written in two places and each was different. I decided rather than hunt back for which foto he actually chose, I'd feature them both. While it would have been nice had they been from two different foto shoots, this is just fine. The Foto Frenzy is a random crapshoot where you choose a number without any idea what you'll see. TW makes it even more inneresting cos you may not always see the number you chose. HAH! If Marv is reading, I hope he'll tell me what number he really requested. Who knows—it might not have been either of these.

Love and Other Out of Body Experiences

In both these fotos, I'm trying to grub some Chinese food off the peeps' plates. Yes, I'm on the table with food. Deal with it, humans. First I try TW cos I know she's usually a soft touch. Look at that fried mice and the chick-hen! I certainly am. You can bet I'm not looking at the fancy shmancy matching plate and napkin.

Love and Other Out of Body Experiences

Then I waltzed over to Pop's side of the table. So what do you have, Pop? Any chance I can get me some of that chick-hen? Are you cutting a piece for me? You better be or someone is gonna get bitten. If you notice, TW segregates her food while Pop integrates it into one heap. What's that all about? She does that with the laundry too.

Love and Other Out of Body Experiences

The Friendly Fill-Ins are hosted each and every week by 15andmeowing and McGuffy's Reader. They make up the fill-ins and I make up the answers. These answers are all my own. TW might have answered differently but this isn't her blog. Each week my image relates to one of the fill-ins. This week it's number one.

1. The Winter Olympics started last night. Nicky used to sit next to TW to watch the figure skating. After Michelle Kwan and Sarah Hughes retired, TW lost innerest. I keep her too busy blogging to do frivolous things like read books or watch tv. I retired from the Luge event too (see foto)

2. I think the most romantic movie (or book) is one where the cat gets adopted. I dunno. We don't read books and if we did they wouldn't be romantic.

3. Recently, I had an odd experience when ______________. I don't think I've ever had an odd experience. What does that even mean? Is that like an out-of-body experience?

4. I believe that love should know no bounds. If you love somebody, their gender, color, nationality, religion shouldn't matter; however, if they're a Mets or Sox fan all bets are off. That said, cats aren't meant to get married.

No art this week although my lead foto for this post is certainly art. TW spent two entire days working on it in Photoshop. It's something like 12 layers AND she taught herself how to type on a path! I'm sure she pinned a medal on herself for it. You'll be seeing those skills resurface I'm sure.

Would you like to comment?

  1. I love Chinese food. My sister watches all those skating programs too. I like to watch the curling. Yeah, I know, I'm a wild women.

  10. Awesome photos! It's like you knew those ones would be picked and chick-hen would somehow be included! Great fill-ins. We think our best answer for number 3 would be, "Recently, I had an odd experience when... Mom." That's it. Not when Mom did or said anything. Just when Mom. Hey! She's the odd one here!

  11. Chinese food...what is it? I am oriental but not chinese. Glad you like it. I'll stick with my Fancy Feast. I've tasted Bird food and I don't like it. It has to be boiled, it's too hard!

  12. That opening picture is as stunning as you, CK! Mudpie was sitting on the kitchen shelf while I was making dinner tonight. It's still probably cleaner than most restaurants! LOL

  13. Love those photos. You look very cute sitting next to your pop’s plate. You should have gotten your own plate (with chicken, of course) and matching napkin :-)

  14. What's wrong with being on the table ? Purrs

  15. That first photo counts as art, TW obviously put a lot of work into it and it is beautiful. Thank you for participating in the fill-ins , great answers. I guess an odd experience to a cat would be something like the peeps giving you a plate of Chinese food. My hubby is a huge Red Sox fan, me, not so much. Have a great weekend! XO

  21. We enjoy the Winter Olympics. Of course, we have favourites, but the Olympics are so much bigger than just a couple of people. There is romance in most things, as it has more than one, conventional definition. Of course, romance is subjective. I suspect, CK, that you have had odd experiences, especially if you were a stray. Unfortunately, animals are often at the mercy of humans, thus, odd experiences happen. Love is subjective. I think it is sometimes confused with other things, but is the greatest gift on earth.

  22. I've been watching the Olympics. I used to love figure skating and didn't know a single name except for one Canadian skater. Guess I've been out of it! You look really cool in that helmet. CK for gold!
