I invited a few of my blogging furrends—DaeDae from Carma Poodale and Mudpie from Melissa's Mochas, Mysteries and Meows and Truffle from Sweet Purrfections—to pawty down and be those cats in the kitchen with me. What good pawty would be complete without noms? I hired the best "caterer" in the country—Chewy.com—to provide the noms. I knew they would send something to please all my guests and I was right.
As a Chewy Influencer, I was sent a 12-can variety pack of Cats in the Kitchen grain-free cat food containing Funk in the Trunk (chicken recipe with pumpkin consume), Chicken Frick 'A Zee (chicken recipe au jus), Lamp Burger-ini (lamb recipe) and Kitty Gone Wild (wild salmon recipe au jus). I dunno what "au jus" means but I'm guessing it's fancy French cuisine.
Weruva Cats in the Kitchen Variety Pack Grain-Free Canned Cat Food is inspired by the family kitchen. Duh! Each gourmet recipe is made with love and care. Again duh. The brand uses only the best ingredients that are high in protein and full of complete and balanced nutrition. TW's one complaint is the synthetic vitamin K—which may or may not be healthy for a cat—but that's also in the pouches I eat every day.
As some of you know, I eat Weruva Cats in the Kitchen, which TW orders from Chewy, every day. My food comes in pouches so I wondered if this would be the same quality. It's certainly more like pâté than the food I'm used to; however, lately I've been enjoying pâté-style noms just fine.
As for the rest of my guests—Truffle loved the chicken recipes and Mudpie preferred the lamb, which was also my favorite. DaeDae? You know young mancats—they'll eat and enjoy anything.
Note for kitties who aren't allowed fishie foods. GASP! All recipes contain tuna except Chicken Frick 'A Zee, which contains fish oil.
Check out the Chewy Cat Shop for all the cat supplies your kitteh could ever need, want, dream about, purr over and claw for. Truffle did prefer the chicken. Brulee is being picky, as usual. This was some good food!
ReplyDeleteI wonder if Binga would like this - my human is always on the lookout for new food for her.
ReplyDeleteWe got some too - it wuz tasty!
ReplyDeleteMy cat Jake would probably like that food, I'll have to get some for him to try.
ReplyDeleteWe gotta get out paws on some of this food. Gotta get humom to order some. Sounds very tasty and healthy. Mr. Chivers can only eat grain-free foods so we all indulge in the same. Mom says it's easier. Thanks for the review! Purrs
ReplyDeleteHow nice of you to share with your feline friends!
ReplyDeleteWe have tried that and some flavors we like, others not, but the ones we liked were darn good!
ReplyDeletePumpkin here. We liked the fish and the lamb, but the chicken was in shreds so we just licked up the gravy and left the shreds. That always annoys mom. We eat real live dead chicken in pieces from her hand, so she just doesn't understand why we won't eat shredded noms.
ReplyDeleteVery nice of you to share. We are big fans of this food, too - and by we, I mean Rosie AND Ruby (who just can't resist cat food)
ReplyDeleteThanks...now I have an ear worm!
ReplyDeleteThose look tasty but we're in England.
ReplyDeleteGreat review!

WoW1 I sure wish we had Chewy up here in the Great White North! And my tunnel is open! I'm waiting for your visit so we can watch the Burds. I wrote a repy to TTT! I said:
ReplyDeleteMommy won’t buy me a aquarium…she says I would eat all the fish…And I would!
I LOVES fish!
You know, planning the demise of the burds–the various ways I could slaughter them–how their little feathers would feel between my fangs–their little tweety screams—the froth and splash of their ….
well…you know where that is going and it’s not PG….
These thoughts keep me occupied during the long (and boring) days at home – alone.
So CK, if you would like to lay beside a small Tabby and plot...I'm waiting...
Have a MARVELOUS day!

ReplyDeleteWe just did a review on that Wyruva and loved it. Great review.
ReplyDeleteSorry you could not read Mr Buttons last post but thanks so much for the support. His going over the Bridge was very sudden. He was a big part of our family. He was our families official greeter and never met a stranger only new friends. We wish you could have met him.

ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Wednesday!

Nice review. I don't give any fish flavors, I guess I am a meanie. XO
ReplyDeleteThat’s some good food. How nice of you to share it with your friends, CK.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you had a wonderful tasting party with Truffle, Dae Dae and Mudpie, CK! And that food looks YUM. :)
ReplyDeleteYou chose great food for your party, CK! Manna and Dexter love Weruva's foods too. Their favorite is Chicken Frick-a-Zee. They also want me to mention that I make up silly songs with their names in them too. As long as they get something pawsome for it, they don't mind the singing too much.
