Good Art Waits for No One

I'm going to lead off with some art today. Then I'll have some flashback fotos and then the Friendly Fill-Ins will follow just for a change of pace. You down with that?

Good Art Waits for No One

It was 1:15 a.m. and TW had just made her bedtime tea. She said she needed to steep it for exactly four minutes—no more and no less. The Cat had other plans. I decided the time was right to create a masterpiece. Twenty minutes later, I was satisfied and TW had mud in her teacup. MOL! Not. My. Problem. I used a sponge to get the texture I wanted if anyone is taking notes and signed in artwork.

I'll be sharing this art on tomorrow's art blog hop hosted by the lovely Athena Cat Goddess Wise Kitty and her mum. You can see digital art created on one of the online apps, Photoshop art and art that is painted or drawn by those with true talent.

Good Art Waits for No One

The first flashback foto was chosen by the Lone Star Cats. #6211 was taken in December 2015. I'd won a few nip joints in Santa hats which I ignored. TW was trying to peak my innerest so she could get some decent fotos for a blog post or just to send to the cats who hosted the giveaway. This was the best one even though TW's fat hand is fotobombing me. TW saw them as a harmless toy; I saw them as evidence. Being a cat from da hood with a bullseye on my back, I wasn't gonna give the po po an excuse to bust me. I didn't want no illegal possession charges on my record. About one year later, I discovered these nip joints were da bomb! Retroactively, I love my prize. TW would like me to review toys but this is the reason we can't—I like them to age before they get my stamp of approval. Speaking of stamps, didja see they went up in price on Monday?

Good Art Waits for No One

I'm sure I don't have to tell you this foto isn't a very good one but Foto Frenzy is about showing the fotos you pick, warts and all. The Trout Towne Tabbies, who usually choose winners, chose to see #3753 circa January 2014. Sometimes when I jump on the table, TW tries the old camera trick to get me off. She knows I run when the flashy box is pointed at me. I stood my ground by her newspaper. I was trying to decide whether to sit on the paper or attack her hand when she went to touch it. She was trying to do the crossword puzzle and I was trying to get some playtime. I think TW needs to get her priorities in order, don't you?

Good Art Waits for No One

The Friendly Fill-Ins are hosted each and every week by 15andmeowing and McGuffy's Reader. They make up the fill-ins and I make up the answers. This week I let TW help out on numbers one and two. Each week my image relates to one of the fill-ins. This week it's number four.

1. The flu shot isn't for cats as far as I know. We get shots for stuff like rabies and feline leukemia and FVRCP which encompass a bunch of diseases but not the flu. TW says this year's flu shot is only about 10% effective for humans but she's not taking any chances. She was totally against flu shots when she was younger because of some of the ingredients (formaldehyde; thimerosal; antibiotics, etc) but now she's old and needs some protection. She still isn't down with those ingredients though.

2. I think TW thinks everyone should take Vitamin D3 daily. It's important to take gel caps and not tablets for full effectiveness. I let TW answer this one cos she's so high on this. She takes 4000 units per day and hasn't had a cold for over 12 years. She says it's a miracle drug that's relatively cheap (less than $10 for 400 2,000 unit gel caps at the big box store) that can do so much. I think everyone should eat tuna daily. Tuna is a good source of D3.

3. I (almost) always bug the peeps for some of their food, because it's tastier than mine especially if it's Chinese food. I deserve a cut of everything they eat that's edible aka meat. It's in my contract.

4. I (almost) never drink water because the peeps tried to poison me by putting some dental additives in it. If they did it once, they'll do it again.

I hope I haven't bored you but I have to give you enough content to last the weekend. Some cat has a Gotcha Day coming up on Monday. I'll tell you how you can give me a super great gift. Have a great weekend!

Would you like to comment?

  1. Molly Mew agrees with the tuna statement. She says tuna steaks make grey cats more beautiful. Appawently, you have been eating more tuna lately...cause you are stunning!

  2. What, dental additives are poison? And all us cats here have been drinking it in our water all this time? Well, we are not dead yet, so I guess it can't be all bad.

  6. Seriously, CK...you are worried about the po po?

    ReplyDelete
  7. Oh no, I bet mom will now try adding those poisons to our water too! Dental water? Ugh. I think she would rather add some sort of calming agent to our water. She says the girls are running amuck. Whatever that is, MOL. Love the art work! Purrs

  9. Geez, those photos. We LOVE the artwork, but nope, still staying away from those joi...er, evidence. Those feds, you know. Awesome fill-ins. Our Mom agrees wholeheartedly with yours on the Vitamin D3 and as soon as she gets through her tablets (so close), she's switching to gel caps.

  10. I like the tuna idea and so does mom. Se's a tuna freak. Unfortunately dad doesn't feel the same way so she has it about once a month.

We loved the pictures TW did...very clever and well done.

  11. You have photographic evidence of TW corrupting you with nip joints? If there are any possession charges, she's going down for them as the pusher, for sure, CK.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Wow! I never realised TW was a pusher. Is she trying to get you into trouble publishing that photo for all to see?
I love your artwork. You look all soft and fuzzy, but I wouldn't let that fool me.

  13. I LOVE your art, I would get that on a canvas. Nice photo choices too, I never know when KaTwo is going to attack my hand. Great fill-in answers too. I am going to get some vitamin D3, I would love to not get colds anymore :) And I agree, you deserve some people food. I do wish you would drink more though, it is good for you. Have a nice weekend! XO

  14. Whoa...that must've been some powerful tea! TW and I haunt the halls at the same hours of the night apparently :) I took Vitamin D3 until I read that you should take K2 with it. Maybe that's not true though.

  15. As always CK, we think all your fotos are great. We luv your art pic, you be so talented. Mommy takes that Vit. D too. She takes 10,000 IU's everyday. she was incredibly low a few years back and the doc told her that can't ever happen again. Big hugs

    Luv ya'

  16. Great art, CK. You have the cutest look in that picture. My Mom had a massive D deficiency and apparently it's genetic because I do too. In the years I've taken a supplement, I've maintained normal levels - but I take A LOT.
Did your Mom see that medicinal meowjiuana card at BlogPaws?!?! I'm very thrifty ... but that tempted me, it was so clever ...

  17. We love your artwork! The Fill-ins are great too. Mom should probably take some supplements too but she's too lazy (don't tell her we said that please).

  18. Hahaha you picked the purrfect timing to make your masterpiece :-)
I usually don’t get flu shot but am considering as it’s really bad this year. Thanks for the info about vitamin D3. Have a great weekend!

  19. You don't ever have to worry about boring us with any of your posts, CK. You couldn't be boring if you tried. You're far too clever! And you showed far more self-control around that join than the kitties around here would have. They would have snatched that doobie up in a heartbeat.

  20. That art work is phenomenal, CK. You belong in the Guggenheim with that solid gold toilet! Not to wax too political or anyfing, but when The Donald asked them to loan him a Van Gogh for the White House residence, the biggest shock to us was not the nerve of him but the fact that he even knew who Van Gogh was. No worries about possession and the po po out here anymore ;-) XOXOXOXO Beautiful Girl

  26. Very nice artwork. I can relate to the food begging. Well, the Shelties are relentless, but the minions! They will not let it go. Clyde will literally eat anything we let him eat. He just discovered carrots. He is obsessed with water. Annie at ~McGuffy's Reader~

  27. Love the art, as always, CK. I've never heard of a flu shot for cats, but I did recently learn of one for dogs!
