Appreciate the Moments—Love

Happy Groundhog Day! This is the second month of Appreciate the Moments, a new photo challenge which goes live the first Friday of each month with a new prompt. February's prompt appropriately enough is Love. I'm more a fighter than a lover so this photo challenge is especially challenging. We had to rely on posed shots and props. TW's original idea a month ago was to photograph Pop and I kissing. HAH! That never happened. Don't get me wrong; I love my Pop but I'm not gonna demonstrate on cue for no flashy box.

Appreciate the Moments—Love

To be perfectly honest, usually when we participate in a photo challenge or hunt, we comb through the archives and use old shots. This year we're taking new ones.

Appreciate the Moments—Love

TW bought a cheesy sign in the "dollar and up" store figuring she could get some good shots. What she got was a blooper reel. In this first shot, I'm examining the sign and finding it inadequate.

Appreciate the Moments—Love

She took the pics in the middle of the night and didn't want to use the flash to wash out my eyes. Instead, she "washed out" the entire series of pics I think she thought this was the Pet Blogger Bloopers Round-up that we did two years ago. Through the magic of Photoshop, we saved some of them.

Appreciate the Moments—Love

This first photo shoot had the sign crooked and came out so bad, she decided to do another one a few nights later when I was awake. In true TW fashion, the two pics from the second session are first.

Appreciate the Moments—Love

I wonder if she can take the cost of the sign off her income taxes?? Heh heh.

Appreciate the Moments—Love

This pic was from yet a third session which featured a Godiva heart next to my igloo. When it comes to arranging props, TW gets an F. At least these shots are slightly more in focus. I dunno which of these should be the official challenge entry. They all look like bloopers to me. Which one would you pick? Don't forget to do the hover thing to read what I'm thinking.

Thanks to Everyday Dog Mom and Dog Mom Days for hosting this challenge and blog hop. Do you have a photo that you'd like to share? Join us for the Appreciate the Moments blog hop! You can post and link up all week or you can join in March when the prompt will be Lucky. Be sure to use hashtag #AppreciateTheMoments if you're sharing your photos on social media!

Can you say BONUS POST? I'll be back tomorrow with some Friendly Fill-Ins and maybe even some artsy fartsy Caturday art where I improve on some of these pics.

To answer your question about taxes, CK... if your human had bought the sign in 2017, she might have been able to take the $1 off on her taxes. If she bought it in 2018, she probably can't.

P.S. My human charges my props to her corporate account, to make sure they are always tax deductible.

I like the 2nd picture the best, but the ones where you are sleeping are cool too. You used the Godiva heart for a prop, tax deduction, cha-ching. I like the sound of "tax deductible chocolate" ;)

My favourite is the one after you were examining the sign.

CK, I show lovin' by giving smooches! Aren't you glad that TW didn't do that to you...and then post it for the whole interwebs to see?!?

The second picture is our favorite! We don't get light in our condo either. Half of it is underground ... and the other side faces the courtyard with a building on the side of it. We get very little light. The only good think about that is that I don't have to wait for a certain time of day to take pictures ... I have to like or lump it 24/7.

Dear CK, I must say you are you and I, Marvelous, think you look purrfect in all of them. That said, I do believe in shot #3 you are looking with a little bit of love at Tw...But then it could be tears of frustration glinting.
Thanks for the bonus day!

We like the first one where you are checking out the sign. We think it means you are at least considering the concept that you might love TW. Hee hee.
We actually had a similar experience when we tried to get our kitty Sam to do this challenge with us (our prop was a pillow that said "LOVE:....blurry photos, etc. That's why we ended up going to the dogs! :)
