Happy Caturday! TW reminded me that this week
This is the original piece I created in Pizap for a #Pawpawty in 2011. TW hadn't started messing with Photoshop and I hadn't started messing with silvervine yet. You should have seen the time she had cutting out that headband. MOL! She still cringes. Now it would take her about 10 seconds with the magic eraser.
We found a template to make it even more psychedelic so here's this week's artsy fartsy masterpiece.
So what do you think? I think I should have performed cos I look more stunning than even Jimi Hendrix. I am experienced—at biting, that is. It has a ring to it: The Cathy Keisha Experience. Of course I would have stolen the show and the festival.

The hubby was there but I was a mere child of 11. I always say that Woodstock is generational; to a certain demographic it is wild concert, to another it is a little yellow bird.
ReplyDeleteHow awesome and trippy! One of my human's best buds was there with his parents... he was four years old.
ReplyDeleteThat is super cool CK! I know we told you on Facebook, but the Dad was there!
ReplyDeleteLooking rad, CK! We ourselves don't have any stories or know of anyone that went to Woodstock, but at least we have you to give us The Cathy Keisha Experience!
ReplyDeleteVery cool art, CK ! Claire was not born at that time. Purrs
ReplyDeleteMom remembers those days!!! We love the Cathy Keisha Experience!
ReplyDeleteThe Florida Furkids

Gorgeous poster art, CK! Count us in for the CK Experience!
ReplyDeleteCK we love the retro hippie art and you as a flower power kitty 😻🌸🎨🎸
ReplyDeleteThe Cathy Keisha Experience does sound terrific and that poster is meowvolous! Mom doesn't like crowds or to get dirty, but she thinks Woodstock would have been cool, but she lived on the West Coast. She saw most of the artists who appeared at Woodstock at places like the Fillmore at even at her college. That's where she saw Jimi Hendrix! Lots of memories. She and Dad went to see Brian Wilson last weekend. On the way home she told Dad that their generation had the best music! XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

ReplyDeleteWoodstock was a bit before my time, and not really my thing anyways (surprise, surprise), but that concert poster is absolutely pawsome. I may have braved the mud, muck and hippies to see you there ;)
ReplyDeleteHmmm...my Mommy was not allowed to goes either (she was only in grade 10), but she DID pawticipate in Festival Express. It was train that traveled across Canada the next summer and there was concerts in all the major cities (it was 46 years ago) and Mommy gotted to meet Janis Joplin!! Mommy was in awe! And wes in awe of your picture this week! Kudos!!!

Ahh...Janis Joplin...I'm jealous.
DeleteJean
Would I make you guys jealous if I told you that TW has a friend who was babysat by Janis?
DeleteWe think TW does a great job with graphics. We love your psychedelic design.
ReplyDeleteYou are truly the hipster of the 60's.
ReplyDeleteShoko
Just like TW, my parents wouldn't let me go but some of my friends were there and had fun celebrating this week. I did see Crosby Stills and Nash that summer at Fillmore East. I met Richie Havens a few years back when he was signing autographs after a concert, then ran into him (almost literally)two years later in Walmart in Secaucus New Jersey. What a lovely man he was.
ReplyDeleteI was only a baby but I do love some of the music of that time. My younger brother wasn't even born then but he's always been fascinated by Woodstock.
ReplyDeletePurrs xx
