Prisma Break

Prisma Break

I like that title cos it's a play on Prison Break and I like when kitties break out of the shelters to join their forever homes. It's also International Lefthanders Day and my typist TW just happens to be a lefty. The funny thing is that she uses the computer mouse with her right hand. She can't control it with her left since when she first learned to use a computer, all the computer desks were righty and that's how she learned. Pop on the other hand is right-handed but uses the computer mouse with his left hand. When he started to use the mouse a lot, his right arm was in a sling so he had to use it lefty. Confused? I am too so let's get going into my gallery to figure this all out.

We downloaded the free version of Prisma on the ipawd, made this art piece and then deleted the app. Why? Cos after every click of the mouse, an ad would pop up. It was so aggravating, I hissed at it and so did TW. You could say we broke free from Prisma after we saved our art.

This is the original. You could biggify both a little by clicking on them.

Prisma Break

Then we took it into Photoshop and used the Auto Color feature. We discovered we liked the color better this way. We're showing you both cos maybe the hue of the first was part of the filter and maybe it was just poor coloring on the ipawd photo we used.

Prisma Break

Don't forget to visit the other anipal artistes and leave me a comment although no lefthanded comments allowed.  Now wouldn't you like to know about that center art piece?

Thanks to Athena Cat Goddess Wise Kitty for hosting the Caturday Art Blog Hop so I can mess around with Photoshop and all the cool online apps that are so easy a cat can do them.

  1. We used Prisma a few weeks ago too! I don't remember the ads being that bad but didn't use it a whole lot yet.

  2. I hate when they overdo the ads on free apps! I know they're trying to encourage you to buy the not-free version, but still...

  3. I am a lefty too ! :) I like your art, I have never tried prisma or even heard of it until today when you had it and Athena did too.

  5. We agree with you. We hate ads. But that is a great graphic CK!

  6. I love your art work this week. Well, you usually have good art work anyway. It's funny cuz M is a lefty and uses the mousie with her right hand too. She can't remember why she started that way, but it seems to work out better. Every now and then she tries to use the mouse with the left hand, but she's pretty uncoordinated with it in that position. Humans are strange!

  8. I really don't like those pop-up ads. I visited kitty-info website and ads kept popping up, preventing me from reading an article. Your art work turned fantastic, though!
I'm right-handed but as a child, I thought lefty was super cool. I wanted to become left-handed :-)

  10. OMN...oh my nip! You scared the blazes outta me with that first photo! I thought there was someone going to stab me from behind. There is something spooky about that painted look. Anyway moving on...the second looks the same as the first but not scary. In the first picture you seem to have way more pink around your mouth...just finished taking a bite outta TW eh?

All in all very interesting my friend.

  11. I'm a leftie too and forgot the holiday :-( I went nuts with Prisma when it first came out and haven't noticed any ads. It's hard to predict which one works best but fun trying. The really painterly and abstract ones are unique.

  15. Coola effects. We're hearing some interesting things about Prisma. We'd delete it too with all of the advertisements.

  16. That's cool, CK. Is Prisma only available as an app? They probably want you to sign up for the paid version so you won't get the ads. We won't do that either.

  17. We think they are both great! We downloaded the Prisma app to our phone but haven't used it yet.

  19. I'm glad you gave that app a piece of your mind by hissing... Ads are so annoying! But I like your art!

  20. We love fooling around with all those apps! Our human is a rightie, and she also mouses with her right hand! Sunday purrs from Deb and the Zee/Zoey gang!

  21. CK, you're always stunning, and so since both versions star you, they're both great. I also love how you showed off your saucer eyes. They're so pretty! Purrs!

  22. That's some pretty cool artwork, CK. Sorry to hear about those ads in Prisma ... totally annoying.

Happy Lefthanders' Day to TW, and to Pop, when he's using the computer mouse! :)

  24. We've heard a lot about Prisma recently, but not about the ads!! You look very arty farty CK!! ;-) The Staff is right handed but always washes up the dishes as if she's a left hander! When I asked her about this, she said it was because she used to play the guitar and didn't want her left hand to get soggy!!! Have you ever heard such a thing?? MOL

  25. I'm glad you saved the art, CK, because it looks great. Ads can be very annoying, but since we find out that they are in almost every free ware, we learned to annoy them. Sorry, but I have to say that Granny is lefthanded too, but her Grandfather learned her to write with the right hand, and she also uses the mousie with her right hand, everything else she does with the left hand. Pawkisses for a Happy Sunday :) <3

  26. You look fantastic in ALL your myriad forms, my dearest little sweetheart. The Human is depressed tonight because tomorrow is the first day of the Dreaded s-c-h-o-o-l. Frankly, I'm a little bummed too as I have gotten used to having the old bat around, grunting and all, ha ha ha! XOXOXOXO

  27. As always CK we think you look just gawjus. But now dat you mention it, do you think da ipawd takes crappy fotos too? Mommy just hates to use anythin' we take on da ipawd. She says da color's all wrong and da fotos are blurry or at da very least a realy poor quality. Anyways, luv your fotos.

    Luv ya'

And, we's still sendin' purrayers. We hope you get to feelin' all better soon.

  28. I just tried that Prisma app on my phone recently. Haven't used it much, but don't remember to many ads popping up thank goodness.

  29. ad pop ups will drive Mom L from a site in a heart break, including pet bloggers who use the way too much. We don't need to have a pop up to ask about joining a newsletter for cat's sake!!
