Here I am in beautiful Hawaii. How the Hell-o Kitty did I get here? Anyhoo, I hope the food is good. I'm gonna do some surfing, sight-seeing and, of course, lots of napping, eating, playing and did I say eating?

Chewy.com sent me to sunny Oahu, Hawaii, to taste test the new Tiki Cat Aloha Friends cat food. OK, they actually sent me the Tuna with Tilapia and Pumpkin recipe cos I'm a Chewy Influencer. These complete and balanced recipes are formulated to meet the nutritional levels established by the AAFCO Cat Food Nutrient Profiles for All Life Stages. Whew! Try saying that fast! Here's an image to describe why Tiki Cat Aloha Friends should be on your shopping list.
You got that? Lemme repeat that in case you didn't get it.
- All-natural wet food with tuna and tilapia
- Dolphin safe flaked tuna is the 1st ingredient, mercury tested for safety
- Pumpkin adds a high moisture gentle fiber that's rich in antioxidants
- Hand packed in human-grade facilities
- No grain, gluten or GMOs
- Made with sustainably sourced ingredients
There are four other recipes that I may have lapped up including tuna with ocean whitefish and pumpkin, tuna with pumpkin, tuna with shrimp and pumpkin and tuna with calamari and pumpkin.
A case of 12 pouches is on sale for $10.69, which is under a dollar a pouch. It's a good deal. Try all the flavors and you'll be over the minimum to get free one- or two-day shipping. That's a good deal too. Chewy.com has over 500 brands to chose from so you should find something a finicky cat will eat.
Where would you like to go on vacation to sample the noms?
It sounds like you had the same reaction to the Aloha Friends that we did. We licked it for about a minute, but then walked away. We've also had great experience with Tiki Cat in the past.
ReplyDeleteWe stick to the chicken Tiki cat flavors here - I guess we're more landlubbers.
ReplyDeleteWell, you do look quite wonderful as an Island Princess CK!
ReplyDeleteMmmmm, that looks delish, CK! My furbabies want to say that going to Oahu would be wonderful, but at the same time that means leaving the house, and these little hermits just aren't so sure about that...
ReplyDeleteWe knew that Chewy had some cool stuff, but sending you to Oahu to taste their tasty tuna flavored food is wonderful ! Purrs
ReplyDeleteI love that they test for mercury! Sorry you were not so impressed with that flavor, but you did very cute picture with your tangue out :-)
ReplyDeleteIf I ever get a paws on my Momma's credit card, I'll be sure to add these to my order ... it seems like you are a cat of discriminating tastes ... and I dig gravy! ~Bear Cat
ReplyDeleteHmmm, I would try that brand. M said she'll call around here and see if anyone carries it. We have one speciality pet store that carries some of the more unusual items. Thanks for the good review CK.
ReplyDeleteThat looks yummy to us. Your artwork is super duper! You look great in your lei and sunglasses!!
ReplyDeleteThe Florida Furkids
Thanks, C.K. You know we are terribly picky, but we do like tuna and white fish sometimes so maybe this is one we'll try. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
ReplyDeleteWe are picky too. Mom cannot get us to eat the better cat foods. We just lick at it or sometimes just sniff and ignore it! It gets her so mad. MOL
ReplyDeleteGravy you say?! The three kitties in this household do not consider wet cat food unless it has GRAVY. Fortunately, a few other options are always in the bowls, and it all adds up to a good diet. They would live on gravy alone if it was left up to them.
ReplyDeleteCk.....aloha gorgeouz.....make sure ya stop bye trout towne on yur way home az we iz just a few nautical milez frum de big eye land.....N joy that tiki cat.....we getz it round heer aza spesh ull treet...{ tho we iz knot sure but de squid flavorz one....they iza ******** ta get off de fishin line !!! } ♥♥♥♥
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like some awesome food and we'd like to go to Hawaii too! Sam loves the foods with lots of gravy, except sometimes all she wants to do is lick the gravy out and she leaves the food behind! MOL
ReplyDeleteJan, Wag 'n Woof Pets
We would like to go to Hawaii to try that food too. ;)
ReplyDeleteWoah...you are a super model CK. You deserve a trip to Hawaii for your efforts.
ReplyDeleteShoko
Nice review even if it wasn't a hit.
ReplyDeletePawsome review BFGF. And your graphics rock my socks!!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your Hawaiian vacation but watch out for the hurricanes!
ReplyDeleteWow! I didn't know Chewy paid for us to travel to Hawaii to test their noms! Of course where else would you go to try Tiki Cat? Eating Tiki Cat is always like a vacation in my mouth! Purrrs!
ReplyDeleteThe Farm cats are getting very particular about what they eat lately. Maybe I should try this
ReplyDeleteAloha, CK! That graphic is da bomb! And we're like you ... finicky/discerning palates, for sure.
ReplyDeleteWow, love the Hawaii pic! That must've been a really long flight. Hope you flew first class!
ReplyDeleteMmmm, anything with pumpkin sounds good to us! Great review, too! Aloha!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds delicious, CK! Maybe TW can give it to you some other time and see if you like it then. We wish we could eat fish here. We like some of the Tiki Cat noms, too.
ReplyDeleteYou look so tropical!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful time...
Noodle and crew
This must be pawsome if you like it, CK! :) My kitties have tried Tiki Cat and loved it. Their favorite is the Chicken Consumme with Egg. Now they will have to try this flavor too! :)
ReplyDelete-Purrs from your friends at www.PlayfulKitty.net
Too bad you didn't care for the food ...would love to join you in Hawaii.
ReplyDeleteThink of all the GIANT litter boxes! Shall we pack up some pouches and catch the next tunnel to Maui??? I'm game if you are. It's not the Human cares about me anymore anyway. XOXOXOXOX
