This is a Thankful Thursday post on Wednesday. No, Woman, I’m not thankful that you went out yesterday at 11 a.m. and didn’t return until 4:30. I’m not at all thankful that I didn’t get lunch and my dinner was 30 minutes late. Let me tell you what I’m thankful for.
Yesterday TW had her annual Christmas luncheon with Aunt Pauline. Somewhere along the way, they decided to turn it into an all-day affair without notifying The Cat. TW said she had a wonderful time. They exchanged presents over lunch but TW wasn’t allowed to open my present—not unless she wanted to be bit.
After lunch TW wanted to check out the holiday fair in Grand Central Terminal and Aunt Pauline walked along with her. 76 vendors and no cat toys—hard to believe. Both TW and Aunt Pauline were thinking of me though. They looked at über expensive Heart Art where the young woman admired TW’s cat tote and was rewarded with a link to this blog. Of course TW didn’t have any of my business cards. Shame on her.They stopped at vendor #36 to admire the pretty glass ornaments displayed by The Glass Haus. TW saw the prices and her stomach sank. The Glass Haus had a tree with all cat ornaments so they went in to browse. Aunt Pauline was drawn to one cat ornament in particular while TW was admiring a gray kitty who she said reminded her of ME. Guess what happened then?

It's pretty stunning all right, CK. But of course nowhere near as stunning as the Real Deal. Purrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Your Aunt Pauline is a true gem!! That ornament is gorgeous and I know you will cherish it forever! So happy she did that! I was at the Grand Central Holiday shopping event last year and OMG it is to die for!!!! Did you eat at Juniors? The prices on many things are high there as you said. But the vendors were all soooo nice! Last year they had a number of dog items but no cat :(
