It's been years since they finished the Bun Head mansion. They were supposed to tear down the adjacent factory and start building on that site. The plans were to build a four-story house which will rob the peeps of their NYC view and rob me of Burd-tv and sunpuddles. We thought they scrapped the plans but apparently they're still considering cancelling my service. Gasp! Hiss!

Enough about that. I was also gonna tell you about our new windows that are ac/dc. Heh heh. On one hand, we hate them cos the frames are so wide, they limit the light that enters the condo. You can see in the photo below I have to stand to look out cos of those frames. They also have those baby bars or whatever they call them that limits how far the window can open. In our case that's about four inches. It doesn't make sense since there are no babies here and we're on the fourth floor so I doubt anyone would pry it open and come in to rob us. If they did, I'd rip them apart. Case closed.

These windows came with full screens. I don't think I could squeeze through anyway. I can barely stick my head out so my shoulders prolly wouldn't fit not to mention my head butts up against the screen if it's out too far. TW tends to watch when I go for whiffies. She's so over-protective.

Pop discovered quite by accident that once you open the windows from the right, you can also open them from the left. Ta da! If I had indeed cloned myself, both of me would be able to look out of opposite sides of the window. How cool is that? Actually TW should have 'shopped me in both sides.
I love having whiffies again. The only day my asthma attacked me was the day the windows were closed and the ac was running nonstop. You can see from the above shot how we can't help but see the neighbors' balconies when we have the blinds open.

BONUS BURDS! Yesterday was Rotisserie Chicken Day. Boy, I would have loved to have had me some nice fat goose! TW says they're right near our condo on the lake! I didn't even know our town had a lake.
I really hope those people don't start up the construction again. :-(
ReplyDeleteI am glad you can safely enjoy your window whiffies. I hope they don't build there and ruin your view, not to mention the noise.
ReplyDeleteCK, we have a very old house, with old windows...some of them don't open, and some won't stay open! My brother works for a replacement window company, but the cost is pretty high. Guess for now, we'll wedge hammers or bottles into the windows that won't stay up, so all of Eastside Cats can get some whiffies...

ReplyDeleteI'm glad you got to enjoy those window whiffies CK and we hope they don't mess up your view!
ReplyDeleteI sure hope your shows aren't threatened with cancellation again!
ReplyDeleteI hope you don't lose your view of NYC. XO
ReplyDeleteWe hope your Bird TV doesn't get cancelled, CK. How nice that you have a lake with GEESE in your town. :)
ReplyDeleteTell TW and Pop we all say hi, okay? XO
I hope that they don't start up construction again. You're lucky that you can have open windows. The house I'm living in doesn't have windows that open (not easily at least).
ReplyDeleteWindow whiffies are the best! I'm glad you're able to safely enjoy whiffie time.
