Pencilling in Feral Friday

Hola kitties! How was your week? I had such a busy week planned that I almost forgot to pencil in Feral Friday. How could I forget? Remember I told you last week TW took away my Venus Paradise pencils last week after I allegedly scribbled all over the wall? Look what she gave me—a big ol' package of Crayola pencils. Dunno if I should accept them but I did use them to color this week's art.

When TW was a little girl, her artistic talents began and ended with her Venus Paradise coloring sets. She colored flowers, scenery and even cats with the sets Gramma brought home. They were like paint-by-number but with pencils. Each set came with half a dozen pictures to color.

Lemme see those, Woman! Those are fake Venus Paradise! You blurred out the brand but I can tell.

Look! There are colors with names like cerulean and harvest gold and mauve and mango! Which should I use?

Now it's time to join the Friendly Fill-Ins, a weekly feature held at this time, which is already in progress. Our hosts—15andmeowing and Four Legged Furballs need no innerductions as they are giants in the cat blogging world. They think up the fill-ins and I fill in the answers which are underlined and in italics. Any further comments on my part are in italics. Each week my image relates to one of the fill-ins. Today it applies to number two.

1. June is a good month to get window whiffies. It's not too hot and not too cold. This year the air is even clean.

2. I love to play foam rockets. I never get tired of them. I don't tire of crinkle balls or long sundae straws/feathers under tissue paper either. There's also a few go-to nip toys that I roll all over. Furbie who?

3. I'm not ashamed to admit I don't like prawns. To each their own. I'm also not ashamed to admit I'm a little ghetto kitteh. I come from the streets of a tough 'hood. #Icantbreathe. I am George Floyd. ✊🏾

4. I'd rather not live out in the streets again. I know I could survive if I had to cos my teeth and claws are sharp but I have a cushy life in the condo. Why would I leave?

I also pencilled in a puzzle.

I used as many of the new pencils as I could to color in this week's art. It will be my Feral Friday entry in the Caturday Art blog hop which is hosted by the lovely Athena Cat Goddess Wise Kitty and her mum to showcase the latest art by anipal artists using digital apps, Photoshop or original art. No talent? No problemo. There are hundreds of one-click apps for desktop or mobile devices that will turn your photos into digital works of art.

ps - If you go back and look at our Wednesday toy post you'll see Furbie. He's at the top just a smidge to the left of the center next to the black and white fuzzy ball. Now he's probably under the sofa again!!!

  9. Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I had a feeling you would say the foam darts for #2 :) I don't like prawns and none of my cats ever seem to go for them either, although I only offered them to a few of them once after a holiday gathering. Thank you for the puzzle of your beautiful art. XO

  11. My June window wiffies have been interrupted by too hot weather. I'm glad you're getting good open window days and clean air. Mom would probably enjoy coloring if her vision were better, but now she finds it too taxing.

  18. I don't think there will ever be an artist as skilled as you, CK. And thank you for joining in on the Friendly Fill-Ins! I feel like Eddy would also really enjoy playing with foam rockets. She loves foamy things, and she loves chasing things that move, so foam rockets would probably be a favorite of hers. Thanks for the idea, CK! Purrs!
