Who's That Knocking at my Door?

Hola kitties! It's 9 pm on Thursday night and I'm busting it trying to get this post started AND finished in time to publish it at midnight. I'm sorry if I haven't been a good visitor. It's the holidays and TW hasn't even been on the computer today. I've got some fill-ins and flashback fotos for your entertainment but don't know if I'll have time to do the art thing again.

Who's That Knocking at my Door?

Both fotos were taken by the front door, a place which you haven't seen a lot of. I do spend a lot of time here since there's always action in the hall. TW thinks I think it's a part of our condo that she won't let me into. I'm not that stupid. I know that door leads to the vet so I wonder who dares to go there.

Foto #716 from January 2010 is a Christmas foto. The Eastside Cats who chose it and Random dot org who picked it this week must have known this. Every year the peeps hang this big jingle bell on the door so they can hear the "Gum Gnome" when he comes in. Every year when the peeps visit relatives around the holidays, I throw a big pawty for my furrends. I was reaching up to let some of them in. The camera on the ceiling just then clicked and took this foto from up above. It's a pretty weird angle but I certainly look muscular.

Everyone thinks Chewy boxes are the best and they are the benchmark for all boxes; however, as foto #6999 taken in March 2016 shows, Petco boxes aren't bad either. They're even better cos they have all this cool packing paper inside. I was having fun rattling the paper when that flashy box went off again. Yes, it was packed with love. Thank you for your purchase and thanks to Aunt Pauline for axing to see it.

The Friendly Fill-Ins is a feature held once a week at this time. Let's meet our hosts—15andmeowing and Four Legged Furballs. They think up the fill-ins and I fill in the answers. My answers are underlined and in italics with further comments in italics. Each week my image relates to one of the fill-ins. This week it relates to number two.

1. I really need to eat some kibble. Seriously, why does TW hide my kibble? I eat my wet food. TW, on the other paw, has a sh, er, boatload of stuff to do. She still has to write my cards and pack up my Secret Paws box to ship it out to—heh heh, did you think I was gonna say?

2. My favorite Christmas decoration is my ornament. The one the peeps lost under the tree with the bladder leaks. TW loves the big Santa that's been in the family for a century. Pop's partial to the singing nutcracker toy that TW found in the Refuse Room about a dozen years ago.

3. It's beginning to look a lot like a mess of clutter in here. Oh wait, it always looks like a mess around here. Pop still hasn't finished decorating for Christmas and they're getting the tree this weekend. They say Fraser won't be visiting us. They want to get a fake tree cos they've both been sick and don't feel like picking up after Fraser. I say if they get an artificial tree, I have every right to climb it even though I've never touched Fraser or Dougie the years he's visited.

4. This time of year, I eat my fair share of kibble. Unlike the peeps, I don't stuff myself full of Christmas cookie, homemade fudge, eggnog and stöllen. I continue eating sensibly which is why I haven't gained a pound in years.

Let's see … it's still not 10 pm so I have time for art! This post is practically writing itself!

Who's That Knocking at my Door?

This piece of art is a joke! TW did it to embarrass me and is publishing it under my protest. She saw the template in Adobe Spark and "couldn't resist the urge" to make a CK Rudolph. Oh, by the way, the example in Spark was a woofie so she put my face over a woofie. Very nice. The jokes on her cos she's not getting anything in her Christmas stocking cos she's been way norty. I have pull with the big man in the red suit.

This is my entry in the Caturday Art blog hop which is hosted by the lovely Athena Cat Goddess Wise Kitty and her mum to provide a platform for anipal artists to showcase their latest digital, Photoshop and original art. No talent? No problemo. There are hundreds of one-click apps for desktop or mobile devices that will turn your photos into works of art like this one.

Have a merry weekend helping your peeps wrap packages and decorating the tree or shall I say UNdecorating the tree. Who's up for that?

  7. CK, you DO look muscular in foto #716! Thank you for sharing it with us.
Here's a good way to play with TW on that embarrassing Rudolph 'art' that she did; just smile and laugh and make her believe that you are in on the joke! Then, go cough up a hairball in her shoe. Yeah, that'll teach her!

  8. Rudolph's nose was never that bright, let me tell you! I'm keeping the housekeeper away from your post. That woman will get ideas and I'lll be next! You have a good weekend, too, deerie! MOL- Tom x

  9. We haven't started decorating yet. We do have a tree, but haven't put any decorations on it yet - mainly cause your twin brother from another mother Teddy likes to knock stuff down. Though he hasn't tried to climb the tree yet, but we think he might be thinking about it. MOL

  10. We think you make a totally adorable reindeer. Mom finished decorating the tree yesterday. She was supposed to start addressing our cards today but has been procrastinating. She better get with it, as she's supposed to wrap gifts tomorrow. Hope TW and your pop are all better now. Have fun climbing the tree. 13. Cute photos. My kitties would love to go to your Christmas party you have when your folks are not home :) Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, I always enjoy your answers. That is a beautiful ornament. A fake tree is much better than real, no leakage :) I love your art, you make an adorable Rudolph. Have a nice weekend! XO

  17. We love seeing you so festive, CK! And we happen to think you make a purrfect Rudolph. We also think your fill-ins are fantastic. This here human finally (finally!) got all of our cards and our Santa Paws gift box all done and out the door. Procrastination at its finest. Oh, and if you need tree-climbing tips, Eddy or Tonks will gladly tell you how to tackle that tree. Purrs!
