Both Foto Frenzy flashbacks today are fails cos neither show The Cat's stunning face just like last week. Will you ever see my face again on this blog? They are rather funny in their own way.
The Florida Furkids picked #80 from March 2009. When I get scared, my tail puffs out like any other cat's would. Since nothing scares me, it's hard for TW to get a foto with my puffy tail or like she calls it, my "Spitty" tail. MOL! Loud noises that startle me mostly give me a "Spitty" tail. Something must have fallen in the walk-in closet or I may be so scared I'm trying to hide in there. There's only two fotos before my tailio returned to it's normal state so we'll never know.
#5111 was chosen by Aunt Pauline, who has finished her chemo and her CAT scan is clean! We are doing a happy dance for her! In this foto taken in March 2015, TW was already thinking about Meow Like a Pirate Day. She decided it would be "cute" for me to pose with this yuge box of Pirate Booty. The session didn't quite turn out as she planned. By the actual day in September, she'd forgotten all about it and went crazy looking for an image for me. (#senile) In this foto, I seem to be more innerested in my shadow than the box. Why shouldn't I be? It's a stunning shadow. Of course, there's the possibility she may have provided a few treats to get me over to the box.
The Friendly Fill-Ins is a feature held once a week at this time. Let's meet our hosts—15andmeowing and Four Legged Furballs. They think up the fill-ins and I fill in the answers. My answers are underlined and in italics with further comments in italics. Each week my image relates to one of the fill-ins. This week it relates to number four.
1. I love buying gifts for myself (and charging them to the peeps).
2. I have a hard time finding a gift for the peeps. I let them do all the shopping and then I make sure all the tags say the gifts are from me.
3. It's the most wonderful time well, actually it's not. Yeah, I'm having a great time in my warm, heated house but there are cats out in the freezing cold wondering where their next meal is coming from. Some of their peeps lost their homes or can't afford to care for them anymore. There won't be any Christmas for them. On a broader scale, the U.S. is on the precipice of a Constitutional crisis. Can you see what I've done? I dug out my Sunday words. It's definitely not a wonderful time unless you're one of the 1%. If you are, can you find it in your heart to adopt a few of those kitties who lost their homes?
I'm going to appeal here for a very special furrend of mine. Baby Patches' mom used to own the online pet supply shop Nip & Bones. I'm sure every cat who's been online for awhile has shopped there. Her mother is very, very sick and needs your help. They're talking about losing their home and everything else so if any of my kitty furrends can take some green papers outta their human's purse, no amount is too small. If you're like me and can't donate right now, please share the link.
4. There's no place like my igloo for the holidays. Also my new cat tree and those new soft sheets on TW's pillow-topped bed. Those are where I'm spending my holidays.
I have a bunch of things to tell you so hopefully TW will pull herself up, suck it up and get better. What do you hope to get for Christmas?
I'm very happy for Aunt Pauline, that's great news! I hope TW is feeling better soon. I don't want much for Christmas, just the winning numbers to the Powerball.
ReplyDeleteI hope TW feels better soon. That doesn’t sound like any fun. I hear you on #3. And glad to hear about your Aunt Pauline! That’s great news.
ReplyDeleteI sure hope TW is all better soon but Sister Seal said to tell you she doesn't bark MOL!
ReplyDeleteI hope TW is feeling better soon. Strep really is the worst! I didn't know about Baby Patches and family. I will share and make a donation (it won't be much, but will do what I can). It's a scary time for sure, but we are not giving up hope just yet (and will go down fighting for what's right). Paw bumps!
ReplyDeleteGreat news about Aunt Pauline! We hope TW feels better soon. It's horrible to be sick around the holidays.
ReplyDeleteYour TW barking?? That's not good. Hope she's feeling better as the days go by, ready to celebrate Christmas. Good news about your Auntie Pauline. That's the kinda good news everybody can use! - Tom x
ReplyDeleteWe do worry about animals who have no humans to care for them, especially during the Winter. Cannot imagine what it's like to be barking like a seal, so here's hoping TW feels better soon!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a sad holiday season for so many! It's been hard to get in the Christmas spirit when so many humans and kitties are suffering. I don't want anything for Christmas except for things to get better for all these people.
ReplyDeleteThat is wonderful news for your Aunt Pauline! I am sorry TW is suffering with a strep. infection and hope she soon gets better. Tell her she has to because I want to see your stunning face!
ReplyDeleteHurrah for Aunt Pauline ! We hope The Woman gets better soon ! And we share your purrayers for the kitties out in the cold.
ReplyDeleteI am happy to read your Aunt Pauline is done with chemo and has clear scans. Nice photo choices. Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I am glad you buy some stuff for yourself- you deserve it. I would love to adopt more homeless kitties, but my mean hubby won't let me. If any show up though, they are mine.
ReplyDeleteI am sorry about Baby Patches mom, I will share the link. I hope TW feels better soon. XO
We’re glad your Aunt Pauline is doing so well. Now if only TW would feel better. We worry about all the homeless animals too.
ReplyDeletesuch great news about Aunt Pauline!!!!! Hoping that TW is feeling better soon! xoxo
ReplyDeleteOh my darling CK, OF COURSE it's not YOUR pillow! It's mine! YOURS is still on the little bench right where it belongs. It has been a little empty of late though. Still, that's more MY Human's fault than yours--yours at least has a good excuse! I love all your pictures today and I REALLY love that you call your puffy tailio a 'Spitty' ;-) Hee hee. Hope TW gets to feeling better, not just so she can help you but also because it's a drag to be sick for so long, especially at Christmas (well, okay: yeah, MOSTLY because she needs to help you more, MOL!) XOXOXO
ReplyDeleteWe hope TW feels better soon. I must admit, as stunning as your face is, CK ... you have a physique to die for!

I’m so happy for your aunt Pauline. And hope TW gets better soon xo
ReplyDeleteC.K., We are so sorry that TW has been sick. Mom knows that strep sucks. She used to get it every year. We have had lots of friends in need lately, so we couldn't do too much, but Mom made a small donation to Baby Patches' mom. What terrific news about your Aunt Pauline. Happy Dance. We select #2468 and #1357. Warm hugs and prayers for TW feeling better really soon. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy and Sawyer
ReplyDeleteTW has really really been through it, CK. I am so sorry about it because my mom had that happen here a few years ago and remembers it well. She had strep and bronchitis at the same time. So TW get better double quick.
ReplyDeleteDelighted to read that Aunt Pauline has a clear scan. That is just the best news there is. XX
We're super excited about Aunt Pauline getting the clean bill of health! Now we need to get TW all the way better. Love that Spitty tail, CK!
ReplyDeleteHooray for Aunt Pauline! Now we're sending some purrs and prayers to TW. We hope she can stop barking soon. As for those photos, if you ask us, CK, your bum and back are just as stunning as your face. And you are so right about the sad plight of homeless kitties and pups. It makes us so sad to think that there are helpless furbabies as well as humans out there trying to survive in the cold. Though it never feels like enough and often makes us feel helpless, we always try to do what we can to help. Purrs and prayers to the homeless.
