Pet Photo Fails, Guest Photog Edition

Hola kitties! You're in luck cos it's the last Friday of December which means you're gonna be treated to some photo fails. This month I want to show that TW isn't the only bad photographer in our family. Pop has actually outdone himself with these photo fails. It boggles the mind how awful they are and that I'm publishing them for the world to see.

Pet Photo Fails, Guest Photographer Edition

The Pet Photo Fails blog hop was created by Miss Cuddlywumps, Paisley and Webster of the Cuddlywumps Cat Chronicles blog. Due to the untimely death of the author of that blog, the Pet Photo Fails blog hop is now graciously hosted by Mudpie and Melissa over at Melissa's Mochas, Mysteries and Meows. You can link up there.

I have no idea what Pop was trying to shoot—and neither does he—but there are about 25 shots with various slivers of my face.

Pet Photo Fails, Guest Photographer Edition

I like to help Pop when he's working from home. I had no idea my paws were so tiny.

Pet Photo Fails, Guest Photographer Edition

This is from the same shoot as the right-hand image on the lead foto. Lots of out-of-focus bloopers from my Tower of Power.

Pet Photo Fails, Guest Photographer Edition

Both peeps failed miserably trying to get a pic of me with CK 2.0. At least this one is in focus. That's the best thing I could say about it.

Pet Photo Fails, Guest Photographer Edition

Here's a sneak peak of TW opening my Secret Paws from Summer. He has more pics of the back of TW's head than me. I guess when he saw all the gray fur, he thought it was me.

For each of these bloopers/fails, there are many just like them from the same shoots. Pop is a regular Annie Leibovitz with the ibone—not! As painful as it is for me to say this, I think he may have to leave the picture taking to TW.

It's now time for the Friendly Fill-Ins, a feature held once a week at this time. Let's meet our hosts—15andmeowing and Four Legged Furballs. They think up the fill-ins and I fill in the answers. My answers are underlined and in italics with further comments in italics. Each week my image relates to one of the fill-ins. This week it relates to number three.

1. On New Year's Eve, I wonder why the peeps are up so late. Actually I wonder why Pop is up so late and since he hates New Year's Eve. TW is up late every night. When TW was young, she used to go out and pawty but now she watches the fireworks in Central Park from our window. At one time I used to DJ at Nipclub. During those NYE sets, I'd play the Top 25 songs from that year.

2. A goal that I have for 2019 is quit blogging and be a normal cat. Between you and me that probably won't happen cos TW is addicted. One day she wants to quit; the next she wants to pay a fortune for a total redesign. Someone please show TW our Google Analytics numbers if you can fish them out of the toilet. I'd rather her play with me cos I'm not gonna be around forever.

3. If I had to choose a guide word for 2019, it would be stunning just like every other year.

4. New beginnings for who? I don't get this prompt at all. Maybe new beginnings for the shelter cats who will finally get their forever homes in 2019? New beginnings for the colony cats since one of our neighboring towns started funding a rescue group? New beginnings for our country as the Democrats take over the House and try to restore order? I don't need no new beginnings.

How are you spending New Year's Eve? Will your humans be home with you?

A Cat and Her Duckie is the name of my last painting of 2018. This is my entry in the Caturday Art blog hop which is hosted by the lovely Athena Cat Goddess Wise Kitty and her mum to provide a platform for anipal artists to showcase their latest digital, Photoshop and original art. No talent? No problemo. There are hundreds of one-click apps for desktop or mobile devices that will turn your photos into works of art.

  1. That last photo is really cute. Happy New Year!

  2. Nice though my face is, Mrs H and I both agree that 25 all at once would be a little too much to bear MOL
I have to admit I would be very happy to have such dainty feet shown to my fans but less so the grey hairs, of which I hasten to add I have none only white and they, unlike Mrs H's are all where they should be ;) well nearly, MOL

  3. Those were pretty fun fails CK but don't ever quit blogging girl, we'd miss you too much!

  4. Your Pop sure did provide you with some great photo fails. I have a feeling TW isn't going to like the comment about him seeing gray. :)
Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I understand your wanting to be a regular cat, but your fans would be disappointed. Maybe you 2 can compromise and just cut back a little. I do hope all the shelter cats can have happy new beginnings.Nice art, you almost look like a ginger kitty in it.
Have a wonderful weekend and a happy, healthy new year! XO

  5. We bet TW was thrilled to get a break from being the photo fails photographer! We will get back into that hop, we just got distracted by the holidays (not that we aren't always distracted really).
I used to party on New Year's too, now I stay home and go to bed early. It's no fun to get old! I bet TW and I could have had some fun partying together. :)
Oh, we sure hope TW gets her way on the blogging thing! Who cares about analytics? If we all depended on that, there would be a lot less of us out here! :)

  6. Your paws do look so tiny in that shot! So petite. Love your art shot, too!

  7. I'll definitely be home on New Years Eve, and wide awake, just like TW! Those bloopers are a riot! Poor Pop. As for #2, you must keep blogging! The cat blogosphere needs your spunk, CK!

  8. I will say, my human does have quite a few photos that look like your male human's FAILs, but they don't make it off the photo card.

2019 is definitely a year of new beginnings for my human. Me? I'll be doing what I always do - being a public kitty and having fun!

  9. Great photos! Also, great fill ins! I sometimes think about quitting blogging but I keep at it. I hope you do too :)

  10. Your paws do look very sweet petite in your Pop's photo fail. I love that art, but you look ginger and white so I can't help but love it!
Your card arrived today along with several others from the USA. I think the post office must have been holding onto them over Christmas because there should have been deliveries from Thursday. I have added it to mt Christmas Card post, thank you.

  12. Those are some cute answers, kitty. I see your peeps have a difficult time getting pictures of you.
Have a blessed and safe New Year.

  13. Cat and Ducky is a sweet painting. :)

Thanks for sharing the photo fails with us. My phone is full of them!

I hope that you have a blessed weekend and a very happy and healthy New Year. :)

  14. Mum's wild nights out are long gone and had been for many years before I came along. She would rather stay home with me every night than go out and mix with toxic people, even on New Year's Eve (plus, she's old now).

Happy New Year to you and yours!

  15. Well selfishly we hope you keep blogging because we would miss you if you went away. But we understand about wanting more play time. Heck when Chi Chi was injured she wanted MORE SNUGGLE time. She never snuggles.

  16. We enjoyed those photo fails, CK. The one where Pop had 25 slivers of your face -- maybe he had the camera on burst mode?

We hope you stick with blogging, because there's only one you, and we love you!

  17. CK, you'd do best by simply allowing TW to do whatever she wants to...she's going to do it anyhow, 'cause she's bigger than you!
    Happy Mew Year!

  18. We got the biggest kick out of your Christmas Card although Daddy said (ahem) that we had enough cat hair we didn't need more. But hey we think your furs are purrfect just like you and Chimera is frantically trying to figure out a way to put them on her boo boo. In case you didn't hear the vet stole a ton of furs off her side. MOL she looks as if she has a hole in her side.

  19. We love the photo fails and The Tribe of Five has a little trick for all you kitties out there. Put yourself in a very photogenic position, wait until the human quietly approaches, wait until a second before the human presses the button thingy to take the picture and then MOVE! It works every time and provides your humans with quite an assortment of photo fails!

Wishing you all a joyful and blessed 2019!

  20. We're sorry we're yet again so late to visit, CK. As always, blame this here human. She's terrible at her job. That being said, your bloopers and fill-ins are just as stunning as you! We certainly won't ever tell you what is best for you or what you should do, CK, but we do want you to know that we would miss you bunches if you quit blogging. Who else would play the role of Stunning?
