Someone Saved My Life Tonight

and you're not gonna believe who it was

Hola kitties. So here I was … napping in my beloved magic cube when it happened. The cube attacked me! I struggled and fought with all my kitty might but the cube used it's magic powers to entrap me.

Someone Saved My Life Tonight

TW was at the computer and heard me 'jump' on the night table. She thought I was finally chasing the fly who's been squatting here for the past two weeks. She turned around to see my cube on top of the night table with me struggling mightily.

As she arose to rush over, me and cube plummeted to the floor three-stories below still attached. I fought some more until TW managed to grab ahold of the rogue cube. I think she beat it into submission cos I was able to free the claw it wouldn't let go of. The Woman and I have our differences but I have to give her props. Instead of running for the flashy box to take blog pics of the struggle, her first thought was to save me. Thanks, Woman.

That was the third time the cube attacked me. There was this time after I first received it and then there was the one described in the image below. TW is afraid I'm going to break something or rip my claw off when the cube grabs it and won't let go. She's hoping she can get someone at the vet to trim my claws even though they've refused to in the past. They don't want to stress me and rightfully so.

The Friendly Fill-Ins are hosted each and every week by 15andmeowing and Four Legged Furballs. They think up the fill-ins and I fill in the answers. My answers are underlined and in italics. Each week my image relates to one of the fill-ins. This week it relates to number four.

Someone Saved My Life Tonight

1. September is the perfect month for preparing for playoff baseball or so says TW.

2. This month, I am looking forward to the weather getting cooling so the air conditioning won't be on all day. Perhaps TW can open the windows for me. Of course the cooler weather hinges on if Pop takes another vacation. This week was supposed to be "seasonal" until the powers that be learned that Pop would be home.

3. My morning routine always includes breakfast, looking out the window and laying in my cube. After it attacked me, I punished it by ignoring it for a few hours but I always go back to using it before too long.

4. I have a love-hate relationship with TW. Can't live with her and can't live without her and her thumbs.

It's been awhile since I showed you some of the art I've been creating. The art below is my entry in The Caturday Art blog hop which is hosted by the lovely Athena Cat Goddess Wise Kitty and her mum which provides a platform for anipal artists to showcase their latest digital, Photoshop and original art. No talent? No problemo. There are hundreds of one-click apps for desktop or mobile devices that will turn your photos into works of art.

I used oil paints. It's become my favorite medium of late cos it's a Photoshop filter. MOL! I also used an action too but I don't remember which one.

I have a question for Photoshop CC users. How do I get the oil paint plugin? I downloaded a really cool action but it won't run without the plugin. I didn't even know PS used plugins.

Have a great weekend, furrends.

  1. The cube is evil for attacking you again! You need to lay the law down with it so it doesn't try it again.
    Your art is lovely.

  2. Bad cube! Bad! Don't attack CK again! Thank goodness for TW!

  3. My human says that if you update to the latest version of CC, you should get the oil paint filter back. As for the claws and that scary cube... well, even Binga gets her claws trimmed at home (although it takes two people), so I can't help you there.

  6. CK, cannot imagine why you'd bother sleeping in that cube anymore! You are putting your life at stake...or at least one of your nine lives...

  7. Haha, I almost missed where you thanked TW. Could you make that any smaller?

  11. Well, it's failed to get you three times now so maybe it will finally leave you alone! Truffles nails used to get caught on everything too...even the living room rug while walking across it!

  12. That is an evil cube, you shouldn't forgive it so quickly. Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I look forward to opening some windows too. I know you really love TW :) That is beautiful art, but any art with you as the subject is wonderful. Have a nice weekend! XO

  16. I had no idea cubes could be so feisty. Rosie pitches a HUGE fit when her nails are trimmed so we relate.

  17. We've permanently retired the cube part and now we just use it as a cat bed. Beautiful Photoshop filter - even a stunning kitty looks even more stunning with just a little panache!
