Then they cleaned out the dryer vent just to make sure there were no ducks living in there. Turns out they found proof that there were ducks. A whole bag full of duck. Just look at all the duck down and dander that they dug out. We were lucky it didn't set the place afire.
All in all it took so long, I left my office under the bed and put in an appearance to ax what the hell-o kitty was taking so long. I
Let's get
1. Being stunning is the key to getting anything I want from my Pop. Being poor is sucky. I wish we could move some place where I could have a catio and more room and I wish we had money to help kitties and their humans who need help.
2.If catitude were worth money, then I would be rich. I am a certified Catitude Award winner presented by Toonces the Cat.
3. I am proud of how much I get to donate to charity. At least once a year TW gives all my favorite stuff away. *clears throat* I mean I get to help kitties less fortunate than myself. I've donated lots to A Call 4 Paws, PAWS of Norwalk, Bidawee and UCFCC. In the image above I'm checking out what's going to A Call 4 Paws in 2014.
If I wasn't a blogging kitty, I wouldn't be able to donate. It bites that some organizations won't accept bags of food once they're opened. I can see if I were a complete stranger and I might be trying to harm the kitties. I can't review kibble unless I try some. I'm not giving away damaged goods. Last year we actually had to pitch at least six large opened bags of kibble because UCFCC wouldn't take them.
4. If I could time travel, I would visit the year 2009. I was still a kitten—kinda—and I didn't have asthma. I was a Twitter anipal. We were having the most fun #PawPawties which I dj'ed. I couldn't wait to get online everyday to talk with my furrends. We were all young and healthy kitties and woofies. No one had run to the Rainbow Bridge until Puz did the following year. 2009 and 2010 were the best years ever until someone spoiled #PawPawties for everyone. Did I mention that we raised a lot of money for animal charities?
This post is going up late cos whatever they put in the vents to clean and sanitize them is a lung irritant for TW. She can't stay in the computer room after Pop gets home and shuts the window or she can't breathe so she had to quit early last night. Dunno if I approve. I'll try to get some art up on my Facebook page.
Enjoy the weekend, kitties!
Oh that had to be awfully scary CK. I did enjoy your fill in answers!!!

Thank cod that's over with, CK. We had window washers in our house the other day. We're glad they're gone too. Paws up for donating to less fortunate kitties.
ReplyDeleteThose people may have made a lot of noise, but at least those ducks have been evicted now.You are good to make so many donations. Last week the adoption centre where I sponsor a pen invited the local sponsors to come for lunch and have some talks on how they are doing. We took two 20kg bags of dried food with us to donate to them.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad the workers are finally gone! That is a bummer that organizations won't accept opened bags of food from you. If you personally knew some foster families, maybe you could work around that.
ReplyDeleteThat's very scary. They are messy. Very messy. Got you got that straightened out.
ReplyDeleteLove all your answers too. Especially all the donations. That's a good thing.
Have a purrfect Feline Friday and weekend. My best to your peeps. ♥
I'm glad the duck cleaning is over and done with. That's too bad about the open bags of food.
ReplyDeleteDonating is cool. It is a shame, but understandable, that some organizations won't take open bags of food. Have a blessed week.
ReplyDeletePawsome answers Keisha and you are indeed stunning, my brother Alberto and I say "hubba hubba"

That is a lot of dryer lint and a good reminder for me to have my hubby clean ours.
ReplyDeleteThank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I know you do a lot to help kitties in need and I love when you dj the Sci Fi pawty. That is too bad that no one would accept the open bags, such a waste. Now that the ducks are gone, I hope you and TW feel better. XO
People banging around for hours on end?! No, thank you! Most people don't know just how common fires happen in the dryer vents. At the time our condo was built, ours was up to code - but in the last 30 years, the length maximum has decreased and so technically we're not up to code. I rent and I don't trust my landlady to come out and clean the vents in a timely manner - so I vent our electric dryer to the inside. That has it's own problems - but I'm pretty sure it's better than the alternative.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you survived! What an ordeal! We have plumbers here today making all kinds of racket. I (me Ruby) am in the office with Teddy (foster fail kitty bro) and Rosie (because she's still being a mean girl to Teddy) is in the bedroom. Our assistant is running back and forth between the two rooms. The plumbers will here most of the day - help us!
DeleteOh no!! You had ducks in your walls too? We had several hundred ourselves. Wonder how they get inside the walls. They musty shrink down like Alice in Wonderland and slide inside. Do they ever yell and carry on when the guys round them up with the vaccum. Lucky you weren't anywhere near.
ReplyDeleteShoko
As bad as it was, i'm glad they got the ducks cleaned out for you, especially the dryer vent duck. We know a family that lost two houses to dryer fires, it's awful.
ReplyDeleteAs for the opened bags of cat food, do you have a TNR group anywhere nearby? There are TNR people here who feed the feral colonies once they've stabilized the population, and those outdoor feral cats don't care if the food's been opened and neither do the people. Our shelter gets opened bags all the time when someone's kitty went to the Bridge and we just pass it on to the feral feeder people.
CK - would your vet be able to use any of the opened bags, or know a place that might take them ?
ReplyDeleteYour poor tender and delicate little earsicles and nose! Those ducks are really something. We have radiators and the Human has to go to the laundromat so we don't got no air ducks. (Our building was constructed in the Before Times--like way over a hunnert years ago). We do wish we had a yard or somewhere for me to be outside--she had a kitty who learned to walk on a leash, but that kitty is NOT moi. A big ole NOPE to that!!! But we do has people who loves us and takes care of us so I guess things are OK. XOXOXOXOXO
ReplyDeleteCK@ I am so furry glad that you survived the duck cleaning and removing. Great fill-in! And I LOVE hearing about the "Good Old Days".
ReplyDeleteYeah, my Mom hates throwing out food we won't eat too. Like the bag that will go into the compost next week just before the guys come because the raccoons will do ANYTHING to get into the compost bin and make one heck of a racket!

We sure are glad those ducks are out of your walls, CK! That sounds like it was scary. You rock for how much you donate to charity. We can say for sure that PAWS is so grateful for your generosity and kindness. Hugs to you and TW and Pop!
ReplyDeleteWow CK that was a lotta duck poop!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the lovely comment on our precious little Diva.
ReplyDeleteShe gave Diva a new meaning. Each time I see a sun puddle or a box I'll smile. She gave me so much joy and I'm pretty sure she'd be royally UPSET if I quit blogging so I will be back ...and who knows an Angelic Diva will probably fly every so often too.
Hugs and Proud to have been Mom of Madi

Glad those ducks are out!
ReplyDeleteWe wish we had more money to help kitties too.

Whew. We're sure glad those ducks are gone, CK. Now, if being stunning gets you what you want, then you must get what you want every single minute of the day. And we think donating to charity makes you even more stunning, CK. Purrs!
