Foto Fiesta Friday

Hola kitties! We've made it to Friday! This weekend we celebrate Cinco de Mayo too. I'll be telling you about that later. This will be an abbreviated post since there are no real actual fill-ins from Ann and Ellen. This is a Flashback Friday Foto Frenzy since both fotos are from my early days in the condo. Not to worry; I was just as stunning as I am now.

Let's start the program and have some fun.

Foto Fiesta Friday

The Trout Towne Tabbies chose #691. This is a one-off shot from December 2009. It's a rare foto where I'm on TW's kitchen chair rather than sitting next to Pop. The cushion isn't all beat up like Pop's chair is. TW couldn't miss a chance to fotograph me even after I pointed my laser eyes at her.

Back in January 2010, Pop was ordering his breakfast protein bars from this place. If it fits, I sits and I fit very nicely in this box in foto #769. I did have to edit out our house number although Pop pointed out the 12 people who read this blog already know where I live. HAH! Funny Pop. Sad to admit, this foto was taken on the 18th and the Christmas table cloth hadn't been taken off and put away. TW's response to that is it's red for Valentine's Day. As if. As I write this, the Easter table cloth is still on the table and is a source of much embarrassment for The Cat. Many thanks to Zoey, Wally and Ernie Island Cat for selecting this stunning, in focus foto.

CK's fill-in!
On Saturday I will be spinning tunes at the annual #Chilipawty on Twitter to celebrate Eli Brees' angel sisfur Chilipepper with a Cinco de Mayo pawty. The 12-hour pawty runs from Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 2 PM until Sunday, May 6, 2018 at 2 AM. You can RSVP here. Per usual, they'll be virtual noms, barktenders, cool dj's like myself and real world prizes you won't want to miss. The pawty will raise funds for the Bend Spay+Neuter Project. It's easy to donate by PayPal or credit card on the #ChiliPawty 2018 PayPal Money Pool. https://www.paypal.com/pools/c/83Mq33xyCT

When I realized I didn't have a proper Cinco de Mayo art piece, I stayed up all night working on this watercolor, although the sombrero looks like I used colored pencils. Maybe the Gum Gnome colored it when I dozed off.

This Cinco de Mayo watercolor is my early entry for The Caturday Art blog hop which is hosted by the lovely Athena Cat Goddess Wise Kitty and her mum to provide a platform for anipal artists to showcase their latest digital, Photoshop and original art. No talent? No problemo. There are hundreds of one-click apps for desktop or mobile devices that will turn you into a regular PiCATso. You don't think I actually painted this, do you? Well! I'm insulted! Of course I did.

¡Hasta lunes! I'll be back next week unless wither I, TW or the computer drops dead since it's 90 f'ing degrees and the a/c in one the fritz again. We're waiting until after the Chilipawty to set up the next computer.

  8. Sombreros are big and we are a long way from Mexico. We don't have much in common with Mexico except a potential wall.

  11. I LOVE your art, that came out great. Cinco de Mayo was Phoebe's favorite day, her Dad would give her $5 for pole dancing ( that sounds strange). I will be sure to go to the party. XO

  16. That is a stunning watercolor, CK, even if part of it does look like colored pencil. You'll have to convince TW to change the Easter tablecloth soon. She won't be able to pass it off as a 4th of July decoration!
