She wasn't feeling all that well and, of course, it was all The Cat's fault for keeping her awake all night. She thought she was feeling hot because of how lousy she felt or maybe she was getting some late hot flashes.
The past month and a half, we've been having trouble with the central air. The compressor had to be replaced and then they had to call the guy back cos the condo still wasn't getting cold.
Long story short, Pop came home and axed if the a/c was on the fritz again to which TW replied "it's been going on and off all day." The sweat was pouring off her.
Pop: It's 78 in my room!
TW with a stupid look on her face: Maybe it's the thermostat? (They also think the thermostat isn't working right cos it doesn't turn off at 73ª.)
Pop goes over to look at the thermostat. Sure enough something doesn't look right.
TW waddles over and switches the switch from HEAT over to COOL.
She had the heat on all day, not the a/c. Won't you join me as I call her what she is—#senile.

Hoping to catch a cool breeze by the window. |
MOL... Poor you and Poor Pop !
ReplyDeletebut I do " Hooray " to you all, You are the survivors !!!
=^x^=
PS : Miss C.K., Here is very hot by weather but my mom does surprise I'm not a fan of A/C
Maybe she wanted to feel like she was at the beach
ReplyDeleteAt least it got fixed! I bet my human would forget to check that part too.
ReplyDeleteOh my word! Poor TW, though to be fair, I do "senile" things like that all the time, and I'm in my 20s! I wonder how bad I'll be once I'm older...
ReplyDeleteWe won't tell anyone about that. It's not like it's been broadcast over the interwebs or anything...oh...
ReplyDeleteWell, when they make a smart thermostat that just knows what to do, it won't matter! (Been there, done that!)
ReplyDeleteDang, that's some serious hot flashing CK!
ReplyDeleteMOL! The mom has done stuff like that too. Thank cod Pop checked it out and you all can be cool now.
ReplyDeleteHey, I've done that too, only the other way around--needed heat, but had the a/c on, checked the thermostat multiple times and couldn't figure out the problem. It was the next day before I realized I had to flip the little switch from cool to heat. :)
ReplyDeleteOops... what is it with humans?
ReplyDeletePurrs xx
Athena
LOL LOL well the good news is that there is nothing wrong with the ac :-)
ReplyDeleteSounds like apartment dancing in your swimsuits temperatures! You kitties do all have swimsuits, right? MOL!
ReplyDeleteck....CRACKIN UP !!!!!!!!! sorree but thiz iz hill larry uz .....we noe it waz knot..... for ewe N TW & popz......but.........☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺♥♥
ReplyDeleteHahahaha! That is a mistake that will get your temperature rising! We would croak without our a/c. It is still in the 90's down here on the bayou.
ReplyDeletePoor TW. Funny how little things like that make a BIG difference. (And I'm sad to say I did the exact same thing in the car the other day...)
ReplyDeleteOh you poor poor darling! You were very brave to make it through that terrible hots. But we think we will forgive TW because after all, she *did* save that little wandering kitty. So she gets a pass on this (of course, *I* was not the one who had to endure that awful heat, so easy for me to say). XOXOXOXO
ReplyDeleteI am surprised you didn't melt!!!!
ReplyDeleteSilly TW! That sounds like something my Mom would do! Tee hee hee. I hope TW is feeling better, though now. It is never a fun time for us kitties when our humans are sick, 'cause it means they aren't focusing their attention on us. Kisses! -Valentine (& Mom) of Noir Kitty Mews
ReplyDeleteMinor detail CK...it's hard to remember everything. I don't know why you didn't switch it over CK. It sounds easy enough.
ReplyDeleteLoves,
Shokers
Well done for being so brave and making it through the heat!!
ReplyDeleteLots of licks, your new friend Morrie :)
Oh, that's a bit warm but my Mom probably would have liked it. We cool the house to 78 in summer, 80 if it's a really hot day and the a/c can't keep up.
ReplyDeleteWe're glad your a/c got fixed ! That's hot ! Purrs
ReplyDeleteSounds like the sort of thing I would do lately. I blame my pills though!
