Good times, bad times, I guess I've had my share. You can say the same about fotos. These are cute and in focus but nothing to "write home about" as the saying goes. They are flashbacks that you have picked for this week's foto frenzy. I don't edit them but I do provide narrative.

We do not like to post bad reviews on this blog, a brand's page or on Amazon. We once heard if you don't have anything nice to say about something, zip yer lip. Na mean? That's why you haven't seen this Pet Fusion Modern Cat Activity Tree and Scratcher on my blog before. This is Exhibit A. Almost out of the box, the sisal wasn't glued on good and was peeling at the seams. We wrote to the brand and first was told to put the seams on the inside. Finally they sent us a new tree. I'm sure PAWS was happy when we donated Exhibit A to them. They may have even redid the sisal altogether.

After a few months, Pop got around to assembling Exhibit B. The tree assembles from the top down unlike any tree we've ever assembled. He started at the top and then had to take it apart again. It took an entire afternoon; much longer than it should have. The finished tree is uneven on the bottom and needs something underneath it to even it. After a few weeks, the sisal started to unravel from the top. The cheap rope peels off and TW keeps cutting it so I don't get caught on it.

For the record, this is the only time I used the top perch on Exhibit A so TW took a dozen or so fotos. I've never climbed Exhibit B which is amazing since it's the best seat in the house to watch the food spinning round in the microwave. It's a very expensive scratching post. So there; I've said it.

Whoa!—I remember the days when the peeps had dinero and used to exchange birthday presents. They stopped exchanging presents a few years ago. TW bought these psychedelic bags to put Pop's gifts in. I couldn't wait for him to open and empty the bags so I could climb in one of them. I'm inspecting each bag to see if there's any stuff for me in there or if I can jump in while it's still got junk in it. If I managed to get in one, there's no fotographic proof.

Please don't judge me by Pop's poor musical choices. We were participating in a foto hunt and that week's theme was "lacy." If you know TW, you know she's not one to wear anything lacy or even have anything lacy in the condo. Pop saved the day by having the bad taste to own these pieces of vinyl. MOL! I'm sure she must have redeeming value or he wouldn't have them. I'll bet he liberated them when he was music director of that radio station in the age of the dinosaur. I guess sitting here I'm just a hillbilly cat with the blues.

I still have a bunch of numbers but any time you feel like shouting one out, I'll accept it. I try to show them all. You can pick any number between 18-7563. 4 and 14 are also available. Tomorrow is art day plus I have some real cool fotography to share this week.

Would you like to comment?

  15. Sorry to hear the new tree wasn't any better than the first, CK. The PAWS cats do seem to enjoy Exhibit A. Especially the soft carpeted perch. We've had to glue the peeling sisal sheet a few times. Love those psychedelic gift bags! :)

    How about 3213 and 6603?
