My New Exhibit at La Chat Galleria de Arte

Yo! let's hear it for Caturday! I'm here at the opening of my new exhibit at La Chat Galleria de Arte. My artwork is all around me on these pristine walls. Is this exciting or what? I'll bet once the doors open, there will be a mob scene. I think I should have a bottle of nippagne to celebrate.

Before I get to the art on these walls, I'd like to mention why TW and I haven't been as active with visiting and commenting as we'd like. The reason is because I've been so active. I'm a senior cat who needs her exercise to keep everything working properly and to keep the weight off. Whenever I'm in the mood to run—which has been all the time these past few weeks—TW knows she has to play with me. I haven't been eating much lately and have had some issues and the more I play, the more I eat. We love you guys and want to do right by you; however, my health will always come first.

Let's just say I'm wild about that wild brush stroke I used on Nickolette's portrait a few weeks back. I decided to use the same stroke on myself and think the result is stunning!

I cannot wait to show you the art I've prepared for next week although it wasn't ready in time to show here in La Chat Galleria de Arte. It's also not as sophisticated as the art that this gallery showcases I'm afraid. I'm ready to hang it up in my studio as soon as I can. How much you wanna bet that TW forgets about it and goes a different direction? #senile She's telling me I have to do something "valentiney" whatever that means. Buzz is gone so there is no Valentine's Day.

Here are this week's entries in the two photo challenges we're taking part in this year.

The theme of week five of the Pet Photograph Challenge was Bokeh. I don't think there's any way to achieve real bokeh with a point and shoot without using photoshop or pizap. We were forced to use another old pic of Chizzy taken when TW had a real—albeit analog—camera.

The week five 2 Lil Owls Photography Project theme was out of focus. You'd think with all the out of focus pics TW has taken of me, she'd have more than enough to post. No, she had to take a deliberately out of focus shot for the challenge just so she could appear as artsy as the others. Incredibly, it got some "Likes" too.

If anyone is still reading, I'll see you next week when I'll tell you why I'm gonna fire my proofreader. The incontinence of my staff is just deplorable. Good thing I have some talent and some smarts.
