Angry Bird or Stunning Cat?

Angry Bird or Stunning Cat?

Oh, I didn't see you! I didn't mean to be rude; I just thought I saw a mouse running across the floor. I can't have vermin in my gallery. Come in. I'm showing my latest art creations. This art is so special I even repainted the wall so it would really stand out.

Shall we proceed with the show? As a little background, on my Thankful on Wednesday post, I published two of the fotos Pop took with the i-bone. He actually took three but the third was on the soft-focus side. I knew it would render stunningly after I painted it.

Angry Bird or Stunning Cat?

This is more a traditional-style painting. I took liberties with the color of the igloo or perhaps I just saw it that way in my nipped up state.

Angry Bird or Stunning Cat?

I look a bit angry. No? TW actually said I remind her of an angry bird. GASP! I must have really been nipped up! Look at the color of my nose! I used a slightly different texture canvas for this one. It doesn't have quite the detail of the others.

Angry Bird or Stunning Cat?

That's better. I don't look quite so angry. I really wasn't angry when Pop snapped this pic. My brushstrokes came as flourishes. I'm not a student of the arts so I don't really know the name for it.

I'm participating in the Caturday Art Blog Hop. Thanks to Athena Cat Goddess Wise Kitty for hosting it every week. If you'd like to see more Caturday art, click the link or the badge. I bet you'll find some some art that you'll like.

This week's photo challenges.

Angry Bird or Stunning Cat?

Silhouette was the theme for this week's Pet Photography Challenge. TW took this the other day. Even though the administrator of the challenge gave great tips for photographing a silhouette, TW stood by the old tried and true—she shot into the light. Dunno how she expects to get anything out of the challenge being stubborn. I'm glad I'm not stubborn like that.

Angry Bird or Stunning Cat?

3 Lil Owls Photography Project's theme was Light. I thought we were so smart showcasing the big orange rock but others went totally artsy with sunsets and sun puddles and stuff that didn't look light at all. We used a photoshop texture but I don't remember which one.

I love this photography thing and posting them here keeps me honest. I hope some of my new photography buddies will visit my blog. The next theme is "Leading Lines." If it means what we think it means, TW took a pawsome shot when it snowed last weekend. I'll have to figure a creative way to get into it.

Have a great rest of the weekend. Next week I'll be delving into the Catnip pamphlet again, doing more art and just being unpredictable.

Silhouette photo is beautiful and I think the orange rock is a great subject for the theme. We got a salt rock lamp for gift last year and love it!

  11. Wow, CK, that is some really lovely art! The title of your post made the Mom laugh. She calls me "bird" a lot because I tweet at her when I'm really happy. When I get angry about being pilled, she calls me, "angry bird." MOL.
