The Art of Thanksgiving

The Art of Thanksgiving

Holla! I haven't been spending much time at my gallery lately. Instead I've been in my studio painting some Thanksgiving Day art.  I know my pilgrim hat looks a lot like my witch's hat but it is what it is. Yes, this kitteh is proudly wearing a safety pin. My art defines me and if I do say so myself, these are STUNNING! I can't wait to see what you—my loyal readers fans—think!

I drawed these using the same Dreamscope filter but don't ax me which one. Of course, I started by putting a stunning image of myself into a Thanksgiving-themed template.

The Art of Thanksgiving

This is the one you see on my easel, as if you couldn't see that with your own eyes. TW isn't too swift sometimes. You'll have to forgive her although I rarely do. My Russian Blue furs did come out slightly more blue that I would have liked but they're still stunning.

The Art of Thanksgiving

This is the painting I worked on first. I love how my "eyeliner" stands out. I'll bet this would make a nice coloring book page if'n I could figure out how to do that. Below is about as close as I could come using Photoshop. Someday they'll come out with an online program to do this right. If you know of one, let me know in the comments.

I used the Photocopy filter and then inverted the image. I played with the exposure to lighten the lines although now it's hard to see what's going on in the frame without looking at the original. You're welcome to biggify it, print it out and try to color it. I'll figure it out someday or TW will die trying.

Hope you enjoyed my art which is part of the Caturday Art Blog Hop. Thanks to Athena Cat Goddess Wise Kitty for hosting it every week and giving me a chance to mess around with Photoshop and all the cool online apps that are so easy a cat can use them. If you'd like to see more Caturday art, click the link and check out the other kitties showing their artwork this week. You'll find all kinds of art styles and one of them is bound to catch your [cat] fancy.
