Now is the time of the year when most of my furrends, myself included, are losing our sunpuddles—except those who live in Australia. Our temps are down in the 50's and they dip into the 40's at night. Brrrrr! Needless to say, I haven't been spending much time by the window so it's nice to see these Flashback Friday Foto Frenzy memories from back when the sun was warm and relaxing on my furs. As always you chose the fotos, we didn't 'shop them and randomly selected a few to feature. I hope you enjoy seeing them and reading my memories.

I've often told you that we don't have many sunpuddles in the condo. The one we do have is early in the morning on TW's window sill. This is actually the best place in town. There's a little hidey hole with a Tibetan prayer rug for my comfort behind the drape. I can soak up the sun for hours. If TW is feeling charitable and I don't bite her first, she'll arrange the blinds so I don't have to stick my head through and can get the full benefit of the sun's vitamin D. During the summer, after I've had my early morning breakfast, this is where you'll find me. I can tell Pop how the traffic heading into NYC is; and, if there's anything, you know, flying through the air and landing on the roof, I can cackle at it. This one morning I let TW take five fotos before I closed my eyes and put my paw down.

I'm sorry but I have to say it, the Tabbies picked a foto with burd and burd feathers but they're hiding in the shadows—the burd, not the Tabbies that is. It was bound to happen sooner or later. That isn't any burd, though. If you look closely, you'll recognize our pal George the Duck. George came to visit so he could go to the Blogpaws' conference with TW, Plush CK and special guest Plush Bunny Jean Cook. After the conference was over, I think either we gave George asylum or TW duck-napped him. She said she got permission from The Duck's Typist. This foto is terrible but TW did get a good one that we used in a Christmas card and my DJ avatar for that year's Catmus Eve Pawty. In addition, we used at least one of the seven fotos for Caturday Art.
Love the window shots! We are still getting pretty good sun puddles here, although they are less than a few weeks ago.
ReplyDeleteI'm MOLing at the Tabbies pickin a BURD photo.
ReplyDeleteYou are priceless dear CK!
ReplyDeleteReally love foto # 4169. You look beautiful soaking up the sun :-)
ReplyDeleteLOL about # 3895 photo shoot. That makes a great blooper photo!
Lovely photos! The window shot at the top is particularly fine!
ReplyDeleteCk we still have quite a bit of sunpuddles every day here in Florida, but the darks come a lot earlier. We are on the catio enjoying the warm sun today!
ReplyDelete"...and I don't bite her first,..." Mom admits she chuckled a bit at that. Don't know why. Maybe she needs a bite.
ReplyDeleteThat first pictures of you, CK, is gorgeous. Sorry, but we still have plenty of sunpuddles over here. I'll send you one!
ReplyDeleteYou are looking very intently out of the window. Are you waiting for me to arrive?
ReplyDeleteWe've had a couple days near 60 this week so Mudpie has had a little window whiffie time...but it's going to snow on Sunday/Monday!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's supposed to get a lot colder here this weekend, CK, so we'll be seeking the heat vents and not the windows.
ReplyDeleteFrodo and Zulu are really going to miss their sunpuddles! Especially when Amarula kicks them out of the windowsill to steal them as she often does! hairballsandhissyfits.com
ReplyDeleteWOW, we LOVE that window shot. It looks like a pro took it. Of course, the good looking subject matter helped too. M's bedroom is my hangout area for sun puddles, and it's sunny there any day the sun is out as it's on the southwest side. Sometimes M has to close the upper part of the blinds because it gets too hot in her room, but she raises the blind so I can relax, nap, and generally enjoy as much sun as I can soak up.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos. That is too funny that the Trout Towne Tabbies picked a photo with birds.
ReplyDeleteGreat photo by the blinds and what's that....I chose a blooper...I think you are a stunner anywho.
ReplyDeleteShoko
LOVE that first picture, CK. You and Bear Cat must've gone to the same cat school with your similar liberal Momma-biting policies ;)
ReplyDeleteWe get lots more sun this time of year (if it isn't cloudy) as all the leaves have fallen. It's mostly in the kitchen, so if it is not warm enough for the catio, that's where we hang out. Mom always hangs out with us. We haven't picked any photos in a while. If you haven't showed them yet: 235, 1920, 951. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
ReplyDeleteWindow shots can be really effective. True with yours.
ReplyDeleteThat window shot is wonderful, CK! You gotta get those sunpuddles when the getting's good, right?
ReplyDeleteYou should tell TW to put in picture windows for you CK. Then you would have lots of light
