How was your Thanksgiving? I started celebrating early cos Chewy sent me a case of Merrick Thanksgiving Day Dinner™! While I was eating my feast, I couldn't stop thinking about those homeless cats living on the streets not far from here. There are even some living in our parking garage. Some are on the streets because they choose to be; others because they were born to feral mothers and never trapped, neutered and socialized. I remember that life.

I didn't know what Thanksgiving was back then. Each day was the same—hiding from humans and trying to find food wherever I could. Those days are way behind me but I have to pay it forward.
Before I begin, I want to give you the 411 on Merrick. They make all their recipes in their five-star kitchen and their manufacturing facilities uphold the strict guidelines defined by the FDA. Merrick gets their farm fresh ingredients locally to ensure the highest quality. Their recipes are 100% free of ingredients from China.
While I admit, I stole some of the peeps' turkey and ate way more than I should have, I had my own feast. Merrick's Purrfect Bistro Grain-free Thanksgiving Day Dinner starts with a course of deboned turkey, then piles sweet potatoes, carrots, peas, and cranberries on your plate, which is basically what my peeps served themselves last Thursday. All that was missing was the stuffing. Because there's no lengthy prep or cook time, we cats can enjoy this dinner year-round. Purrfect Bistro Thanksgiving Day Dinner™ Canned Cat Food contains no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives.

You know that TW frowns upon veggies in my food and she refuses to feed me anything with carrageenan if she can help it. On the other paw, I LOVE anything with carrageenan added and Merrick's Thanksgiving Day Dinner was no exception. I ate like I was starving and didn't even look up for the flashy box. However, after I got my cut, TW promised to donate the rest of the case to the Union City Feral Cat Committee (UCFCC) cos they do such a pawsome job of feeding the community cats in my 'hood. Thanksgiving turkey and trimmings may come late to those kitties but it fills our heart with joy just knowing how much they'll enjoy it.

Now that my Thanksgiving is over, I can't wait for reports on how the kitties out on the streets and in the garage like their feast. Thanksgiving is all abouteating giving, which is why Giving Tuesday was yesterday. Let's count our blessings that we can give back to some less fortunate cats.

From some reason my silly Mommy didn't notice this food was available for cats as well as dogs, so I'm not getting to do a Chewy review this month! Good help us so hard to find. Pawsome of you to donate the rest of your case, CK. --Mudpie
ReplyDeleteYum! Sounds really tasty! How awesome that you are donating so much of it. (Binga would get really mad if that happened here - she wants everything for herself!)
ReplyDeletePawsome that you're donating a lot of it! I'm just eating mine.

ReplyDeleteThis sounds like delicious food! It looks like you enjoyed it quite a bit. I love that Merrick doesn't use any ingredients from China. Manna and Dexter have tried some foods from Merrick and they loved them! :)
