CK Tells All!

CK Tells All!

Woohoo! It's time for another "Ask CK" where my listeners ax me whatever they want. No subject is taboo. I'm not gonna waste our time with idle chatter. I'm standing by to take your calls. Our first callers today are the Florida Furkids. How's the weather in Florida guys?

We want to know what your favorite time of day is? Napping? Nomming? Private time? Biting TW?

Play time! I've always been very active although TW says I'm slowing down. I only nap when I'm bored and I'd rather be playing but TW is on the computer. I'm not much of an eater. I eat to live rather than live to eat. Around midnight when TW gets off the computer and finishes the crossword puzzle, we are ready to rock and roll. She thinks she'll tire me out so I'll sleep all night but instead I get all wound up and don't want to stop playing. Believe me though, biting TW and Pop are right up there.

CK Tells All!

Hello Coney Island Cats.  Heh heh. I know you're not from Coney Island but it would be nice if you were. You're on the air. You got questions; I've got answers.

We think we know the answer to this, CK, but what's your favorite toy?

OMC! I love when TW is in the mood to shoot foam rockets for me. When I'm in Pop's room, my favorite toys are my Skinneeez shmousy—the original—and a gray and white rattle shmousy. Everything else in my toy box I could take or leave.

CK Tells All!

You're on the line with CK. What's on your mind Daily Pip?

Well, what is your favorite flavor of food? If you could meet any human who would it be?

I love anything tuna. Well, maybe not everything. We've had some fails with some of the more expensive brands. If I could meet any human, it would be the President, Mr. Obama. I'd also like to meet some of my furrend's humans who spend countless hours working to make this place better for cats and who help us find forever homes. I'd tell them "thank you."

After a commercial break I'll take Lola the Rescued Cat's call. Here's a word about our latest giveaway for a Torus™ water bowl. Click on the image to enter. Remember, you can tweet every day for more entries.

CK Tells All!

We are back! Hope I gave you enough time to enter. Hello Lola! What's on your tabby mind?

Great idea! Let's see... do you ever sit on TW's lap? Are you ever nice to her?

Um, never. I've never been a lap cat and never will be. I sit next to Pop but I don't sit on his lap neither. Yes, yes I consider myself nice to TW when I sleep with her and don't attack her which is practically every night.

CK Tells All!

Next on the line is The Menagerie Mom. Speak up. You're on the air with CK.

Oh, I love this idea, CK! There are so many questions we could ask. Let's see. We'd like to know, CK, are you much of a talker? And when you talk, are you a loud meower, or more of a squeaker? We have everything from a screamer to a squeaker at our house, and we're always curious to know how others voice their opinions to their humans.

I am a talker late at night or early in the morning. I have a loud, clear voice with many octaves and inflections. TW has said I make sounds she's never heard a cat make before. She's also excused me of sounding like a feral cat in heat yowling for some action. You can hear my voice a tiny bit in this bad video.

We have time for one more and it will be line two where we have Jobi Harris. Hi Jobi. I don't supposed you're related to TW's old neighbor Alice Harris although I know you have a cat named Alice?

CK, our inquiring cats want to know if you can sing opera ... can you sing opera?

This ties into the last question so I hope Menagerie Mom is stilling listening. I know all the famous operas from Carman to La Bohème; Pigoletto to the Marriage of Figaro who I've always imagined was a cat. Figaro is a cat's name after all. As you can imagine, my all-time favorite is Porgi and Bess in which I sometimes duet with HHGutt. Great Gramma had all the Caruso recordings. I mostly give performances late at night or in the car. If I ever went on tour, you'd be smart to buy a ticket to one of my performances.

CK Tells All!

Thank you for tuning in. I hope you've enjoyed our show and will tune in Wednesday when—if TW can get it together—we'll be discussing lost cats and Friday for our Blog the Change.

  1. Wow, you answered a lot of questions, CK! I still say, if you want to hear some weird kitty sounds, you need to talk to Boodie sometime - my human says she sounds like a space alien!

  9. Great questions and answers, CK. I talk a lot to, in fact almost all the time. My mum also tells me that when I am walking around my garden that I sound like a female cat on heat. She is full of insults like that and she should know it is me calling to you across the ocean.

  12. I can't believe this CK. You and I are so much alike, it's scary. I play lots, eat very little, find food no big thrill and never sit on laps. I'm no lap cat....bahhh. I do however sit on the arm of the chair right next to mom or dad. We are so much alike that we are sisters but with other mothers. I don't do opera though!! The circus is more like me. MOL

  23. I'm really loving this Q&A thing, CK. We were so excited that you answered our question! And, if you ever take requests, we'd sure love to hear you sing opera. (And, for what it's worth, I once knew a kitty named Figaro.) Thanks for sharing all of this pawesome stuff about you, CK! Purrs!

  24. LOVE the Q&A, CK!!! So much fun. : )

I'm a lot like you when it comes to the whole lap thing. I never sit on even Gloman's lap. But I love laying alongside of him in just the right spot so he can pet my head.

Hate to tell you... but your voice sounds just a little like the orange menace! ; ) Don't worry though...he'll never be the opera star you are. In fact, he thinks Porgi and Bess is a fried chicken joint.
