Let’s Get This Pawty Started A Day Early

Guess what? Tomorrow is my Blogoversary. I’ve been married to this blog for six long years now or should I say I’ve had TW in my employ for six years. Either way, we both think she thinks that it’s not one of the big blogoversaries so we’ll keep our celebration to a minimum. I don’t usually post on Tuesday so I’m starting the pawty a day early.

Over the weekend instead of writing this blog post and giving it her whole attention, she spent all day proofreading the 2016 Cats of the Blogosphere weekly planner for Mom Paula. She said it’s the least she can do to help the CB since she did a lot of proofing in her former life back when she got a pay check. I think just sharing my stunning pics and prose is quite enough to help the CB. Anyhoo, that’s why she didn’t have time to gussy up this here blogoversary post. It is what it is.

It all started at a 5000 watt radio station in Fresno, CA. Oh wait, wrong show. It all started on Twitter and then I branched out cos I had more to say than fit into 140 characters. My first blog post didn’t even have my picture in it! That was when I murdered fired my first secretary, JoAnn, and hired TW.

Lemme take you into the back room and tell you how a typical blog post comes to be at stunningkeisha.com. I don’t think any other cat blogger has ever discussed the whys and wherefores of how a post comes to be.

The night after a post goes live, I call a meeting to discuss the next post topic. I’ll usually have an idea, which may start with an image or there may have been an incident in the condo I wish to address. Sometimes TW will object and I’ll quickly overrule her. We’ll discuss what Wednesday word to use; one we think will make people innerested enough to click. At those meetings—some of which include Pop—I’ll discuss which CB events I’d like to take part in and TW will let me know if there’s a conflict as far as sponsored posts.

Then we’ll discuss how I want the blog illustrated. TW will hem and haw about how long it takes to create an image. I’ll get out the violin to accompany her until I’ve heard about enough.

Finally, I’ll dictate the post and TW will read it back to me. I’ll attack it with teeth and claws my red pencil and she’ll try again. This continues until she gets it right. Finally she’ll create the images under my watchful eye. After such images are added to the post, I’ll ax Pop to do a final proofread, usually at 10:30 at night when he’s 7/8’s asleep. If he laughs and doesn’t nod off, I know I have a winner.
