Can you see my shadow? |
This weeks exciting #52Snapshots theme is Shadow. TW always says she's a shadow of herself from when she used to work. She was vibrant and alive or so she says. I dunno. I've seen old pics of her and she was half the person she is today. Maybe even a quarter. She claims she used to look forward to each day. I think I'm being insulted. Anyhow, I guess that's why she likes reducing me to a shadow.
That’s just one part of TW’s weirdness. She loves trying to take shots with shadows, reflections and silhouettes even though she’s lucky she can aim and shoot. Oftentimes she fails miserably and that’s why I have a Foto Frenzy. MOL! We even made an entire video which focused on my shadow back in February 2013.
My shadow like my reputation precedes me. |
I kept telling her the other night that most of the best shadow pics were ones where I was on my cat tree or Pop’s bed and it just happened naturally. Would she listen to me? No! She insisted we needed fake shadow pics so on my 1 a.m. foray into the kitchen to get some kibble she followed me with flashlight and camera in hand. The pics on this page are the less than stellar results.
What she got was my back and hind quarters. The above pic may be a good one for Tocktober but everybuddy wants to see my stunning face.
Thanks to Christina and The Lazy Pit Bull for hosting the 52 Snapshots of Life photo challenge this week and every week throughout 2015. For those who would like to participate, next week’s theme is Frame. TW is always framing me for something I didn’t do.
Now it’s time to get arty and let my creative juices flow. We spent a lot of time on images for yesterday’s post so we didn’t do anything super hard. I call TW’s Photoshop actions, her cheat sheet.
One of the images she took the other night while trying to catch my illusive shadow was a winner in my eyes. The shadow didn’t come out but I looked extra stunning and my whiskers were electric. I ordered TW to turn it into some kind of art but first I’ll show you the original.
First she used a rainbow Lomocam action where you can actually see a little shadow …
… then a watercolor HD painting action to turn a barely illuminated pic into art.
Yesterday I posted about Wellness®TruFood®. Do you know Wellness has an app where you can turn your photos into a watercolor? I gave it a look-see. Of course it leaves it’s own watermark/ad on the top corner which can be edited or cropped out. We couldn’t bother.
Thanks to Athena and Marie for hosting the pawsome Caturday Art Blog Hop every week. Without it, TW would still be clueless about photoshop. Stop by the see some creative anipals strutting their newest art images.

Your face is stunning, but I kinda like seeing your, um, "hindquarters" too. Oh, and yeah, c'mon over and bring all the controlled substances you want. The Blue Pillow is waiting. XOXOXOX

ReplyDeleteOh, that's so funny about TW following you in the middle of the night with a flashlight to get a shadow pic. That's commitment! Yes, your face is stunning but you do have a cute bum. The watercolor looks great! The lady has been wanting to do a watercolor.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it amazing what our humans do to try and get an interesting picture of us, CK? We like that watercolor. Very nice.
ReplyDeleteMOL I can just picture TW following you around with a flashlight and camera! We need to check out Wellness' watercolors :)

ReplyDelete(Channeling my inner Nellie)
C.K. you tell TW to quit putting herself down. Our mom has finally learned that what you do or did is not who you are. She had a really hard time when she first quite going to work everyday. That was a really long time ago so she is over it. She thinks your mom is pretty special, and she applauds TW's ingenuity in getting her shadow photos of you. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
ReplyDeleteThat's a very pretty picture !
ReplyDeleteThat second shadow photo is kind of spooky!
ReplyDeleteWe love your 52 snapshots. Tell TW that she does have a job. You have to be taken care of like a queen and you need her thumbs to keep your pawesome blog going.
ReplyDeleteCool effects, CK!
ReplyDeleteYou look even more stunning than usual in watercolor !
XOXO
CK, you NAILED your shadow AND art pics. You GO, girl!
ReplyDeleteDarling, THANK you for understanding the depth of my outrage over the terrible experience I was forced to endure. I was STARVING, CK, starving! Thanks for coming over, I don't know what I would've done with out you XOXOXO
