In the condo, we have lots of dishes for The Cat’s food BUT there are only two in which I get my beloved Fancy Feast Grilled Tuna. They’re hand-me-downs from Cod knows how many cats before me. They’re strong; they don’t chip when Pop does the dishes and throws everything into the dishpan. They had to last forever cos TW doesn’t know how and where she could buy those same dishes. Y’all remember I stopped drinking H2O after my favorite water dish broke. The peeps didn’t dare break my FF dish!
That all changed in the blink of an eye. TW went to stack my dishes in the right order—she has to do that cos she’s so senile she’ll give me the wrong dish if it’s NOT in order—and there was a crash followed by an "OH NO!!!!”
Pop rushed in. CK rushed in. It was in two neat little pieces as you can see above. When I saw the pieces, I started to hyperventilate. My dish! Woman, you did this on purpose? How could you??? I needed an explanation. The Cat’s heart was breaking. TW claimed it was an accident and had only fallen less than two feet from the cabinet on to the stove.
If anybody recognizes this dish or the label on the bottom, TW is willing to pay anything to replace it!! Yes, she is! Excuse me— I don’t NEED your permission, Woman! That’s your punishment for breaking it! It’s a vintage 1990s dish from Petsmart or Pet Central. It’s been in the CK family for generations. It’s made of good China. What, Woman? I know what it says but it sounds better my way.
Hasn’t this little ghetto kitteh been through enough already without another loss in the family?
RIP, dear FF dish. |
Well, if she uses a soft warm damp towel, it might feel good to get wiped down. Not buying it? Well, okay, I tried. Go ahead and bite her then.
ReplyDeleteOh, and you have a CONTRACT? Why have I not heard about this before?? Oh, Hyooooooooooomin!!!
A damp towel and a broken dish? Dis are just too much to handle!
ReplyDeleteI am sending lots of purrs your way, CK - I'm relieved that your dish breaking did not give you a relapse!
ReplyDeleteWe're glad you're feeling better, CK, but the dish is a low blow indeed.
ReplyDeleteA quick google image search of "cat feeding dish with paws" shows that there re still a few lookalike dishes on the market if you can't find a local replacement.
Oh no CK a broken dish and then she gets out the wet towel. Yikes I have just broken into a cold sweat as I relive bathtime. Hope you get better soon. Have a wonderful Wednesday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly

So sorry that all I posted before was links! I think I found the dishes.. The first one looks right, the second one has two styles and I am not sure which is exactly yours.
ReplyDeleteI couldnt do more than copy and paste because all I had was my mouse hand and limited use of that as Leo had decided he required much love and pets and flopped down across my chest and needed the support of one hand and occasional scritches with the other!
Glad you're starting to feel better, keep going in that direction sweet CK!
CK, purring to you!
ReplyDeleteAww!! Your poor bowl!!!! I will keep my eyes open in case I see it in a pet store.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad your breathing is getting better! That's great news! Hopefully the wipe down once a day will help with the sneezing.

ReplyDeleteJust when you think you couldn't possibly endure any more heartache (or asthma attacks), your beloved bowl gets broken. Adds insult to injury doesn't it. Well, I see one good soul FOUND your bowl on Amazon - I think CK should stock up so in future, should she commit this grevious sin yet again, there will be a replacement READY. Glad you are feeling better - seriously.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Sammy
Sorry to hear about your favorite dish! If I happen to run across one, you will be the first to know. Maybe you will find a dish that makes your FF taste even better :)
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you're feeling better. Sorry to hear about your dish. I try to avoid ceramic or glass anything because I'm so clumsy.
ReplyDeleteFeel all better soon CK. Sorry for your beloved dish!
ReplyDeleteThat's too bad about your dish, CK. That happened to one of our food dishes. And the mom searched the innernets and was fortunate enough to find one. We sure hope you start feeling better. Maybe when all this pollen dies down...if it ever does.
ReplyDeleteWell, of all the nerve. TW really did it up big time this time. I hope you don't give up eating now that you can't be served in your fancy china dish. Glad to hear you are feeling a tad better anyway. Allergies are the pits! M's hasn't started in yet, but it will in about another week when all the stuff starts popping here.
ReplyDeleteCK! Doodle uses that to drink goat's milk! Don't they still make those? - Crepes.
ReplyDeleteUh oh! At least this means maybe you can get some new China CK. Maybe gold-plated with diamonds or something? ;)
ReplyDeleteAw, sorry to see your dish broke! :( I had a gorgeous ceramic bowl set for Niles when she was a puppy that I absolutely loved. One day we were playing fetch in the living room and I accidentally tossed the ball into one of the bowls. It was a very gentle toss but someone the bowl split in half! Ever since then I've stuck to metal.
ReplyDeleteI was glad to read on fb that TW's eye "procedure" wented well. We hope she gets a good sleep and feels furry good in the morning. You too, my sweet darling girl XOXOXOXO
ReplyDeleteMy mancat Kaspars says your woman needs to be punished for her carelessness. He recommends FRESH meat that is your favorite served to you a minimum of 10 meals a week.
ReplyDeleteOh no, not a broken dish! Mom will have to find you a new favourite dish to eat from.
ReplyDeleteOh, CK.... I'm sorry you're still feeling kind of icky from the pollen. Don't know if these will help, but we just tried some wipes made by Furminator and they worked great!
