It’s In New Jersey!

The Super Bowl is in New Jersey. It is, despite what former NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg would have you believe. When the peeps go to Shop Rite, they can practically see Met Life Stadium. In fact, Friday night, we saw the fireworks from Met Life Stadium from our window as they rehearsed their half-time show with some wanker from Hawaii that no one cares about. Hope we can see live fireworks tonight!

The game is of no innerest to Pop since none of the New JERSEY teams are playing in it. TW usually picks a favorite cos it’s no fun watching it unless you can get aggravated that all the calls are going against your team. This is the first time, she has absolutely no innerest in the half-time show. I mean, couldn’t they find an act from NJ? There’s tons of musical talent here, from the Four Season through Bruce Springsteen, Bon Jovi, Kool & the Gang, the Fugees, etc. A Jersey City native, Queen Latifah, is singing America the Beautiful with a choir from the Garden State.

I’m in the cheap seats now but come game time, I’m upgrading.

This year, both teams that are in the Super Bowl come from States where marijuana is legal. Coincidence? I think not. Humans like some nip once in a while too. That said, I guess pot doesn’t make you docile and sleepy after all.

Seattle Seahawks vs. Denver Broncos—football’s best defense vs. their best offense. Yes, TW has a rooting innerest, which might make at least one of my good Twitter furrends happy. As far as the NFL Anipals, it’s @SeattleP (Jeego) vs. Colorado’s @Pumpkinpuddy. We have to root for Eli’s brother; the Manning brother with all the talent.

  9. Funny how things get 're-zoned' and adopted when something big is going on. Very annoying.

We're not into football or stuff and don't get superbowl here but the online food delivery came today so we're definitely up for the snacks and goodies.

  11. New Jersey must be crowded with lots of football fans! I hope you have fun watching the game. But I agree, it would be more fun if someone from NJ would perform half-time show.

  19. We don't care too much because our favorite teams aren't in it, but we kinda wanted the Broncos to win. Doesn't look like it's happening.

And we agree about the half time show - snoozefest.

  20. Well we don't care who wins either...but we watched the halftime show and this fireworks were HUGE!

  22. We hope you had a ton of fun today and hope you could see the fireworks! Bet it was a blast. Didn't work out too well for Peyton, I'm afraid. But I'm proud of the Niners now--at least they only lost the NFC championship game 23-17! They weren't, you know, an embarrassment!
I wish YOU had been the halftime show.
