A few of my furrends have been sharing pics of some of their holiday decor so I decided to
This is Fraser all blinged up. The peeps decided to do an old-fashioned tree and use mostly all the old balls with the fly dirt rather than newer ornaments. Truth be told, they were too lazy to get more than that one ornament box out.
Innerducing the display on our front door. Usually we have a very old NY Yankee snowman wreath that TW put some battery-powered lights on. This year TW bought a wreath to benefit a local charity and got the door wrap from the dollar & up store. We couldn't center the wreath since it would hide our unit number but I hid it anyway.
The automated members of Santa's posse go on top of the old tv. We haven't gotten any new ones in years even though the peeps were playing with dozens of different ones in the discount store. TW says at their age, they shouldn't be buying new stuff. I bet they're waiting for them to be half price or less.
The last member of Santa's posse for today's post is the jolly old elf himself. He's been around almost as long as TW and his music box still works. Pull the string for a chorus of "Jingle Bells." He's stuffed with a pair of TW's old pajamas. HAH!
I hope you've enjoyed seeing the part of the Santa's posse that's taken over the condo.
Now it's time to join the Friendly Fill-Ins, a feature held weekly at this time, which is already in progress. Our hosts—15andmeowing and Four Legged Furballs need no innerductions as they are giants in the cat blogging world. They think up the fill-ins and I fill in the answers. My answers are underlined and in italics. Any further comments on my part are in italics. Each week my image relates to one of the fill-ins. Today is an exception and it's just a holiday image which shows the peeps most precious decoration—a beat-up old Santa that's been in TW's family since she was a kid.
1. My holiday plans include spending as much time as I can with Pop cos he's gonna be home from today until January 2. I might even bite him a few times.
2. I can't wait to see Pop open his/
3. All I want for Christmas is homes for all the abandoned cats of the world. I pretty much have everything a pampered indoor cat could want: food, treats, toys, cat trees, tunnels and beds. Note all are plural. I could use some paid posts but that would be selfish of me.
4. DJ'ing on Catmas Eve is the best way to spread holiday cheer. I hope my furrends can join me even if you can't donate to Black Cat Rescue. Monies raised during the pawty should spread holiday cheer for the black cats waiting to be adopted.
I made you a puzzle. |
I couldn't decide which art piece to share today and which to save until Wednesday. On Christmas Day, I'll be sharing my 2019 Christmas cards which have received rave reviews from my Twitter furrends. This art is a take on the image from the front of the card. I wanted to show the scene during a snow storm so I added some snow. Speaking of snow, a few days ago we had a snow squall! I could have then taken it into LunaPic for some falling snow animation but decided it would detract from the image. A good artist knows when what they're adding does nothing to the work.
I also did a bonus painting using the new Photoshop action that Barb wrote about on Marv's blog which I told her about of some other members of Santa's posse. I'm posed with two of TW's prized Annalee Santas. I hid the large brush strokes cos this is a busy image. As it is, it lost a bit when I shrunk it down for the blog. I guess I'll have to frame it. You can biggify it cos, trust me, it looks better bigger.
These will be my Feral Friday entries in the Caturday Art blog hop which is hosted by the lovely Athena Cat Goddess Wise Kitty and her mum to showcase the latest art by anipal artists using digital apps, Photoshop or original art. No talent? No problemo. There are hundreds of one-click apps for desktop or mobile devices that will turn your photos into works of art.
I don't want any gifts this holiday either - I just want my patients at the hospitals to all be well.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your lovely card which arrived on Wednesday.
ReplyDeleteFraser looks very handsome in all his bling, and Santa's posse looks good too.
I biggified your Paintly art and it looks lovely.
Thanks for the puzzle which I will try to do tonight. My PC is kaput and I have to use an old laptop with a screen a quarter of the size I am used to. I am hoping I can link it to my printer to scan my snail mail cards to post on Christmas Day. All my E cards have their own page.
O we love those toys you posted the pic of. Now our human is wondering if ou have any little vids of the top moving around and perhaps a certain cat reacting? O well, just thought we'd ask.
ReplyDeleteWe are low on gifts too (Except for SP)! Our mom has held off getting us another double decker house cuz she says its not photo friendly. It's touch being a cat and trying to talk sense till your human.
Wishing you luck and love with your black cat mission.
We enjoyed seen your Christmas CK, everything sure looks nice and I do like your door. I enjoyed your answers too, bite Pop easily, tis the season ya know. Your art is, of course, stunning!
ReplyDeleteI too am going to be home until 1/2...but I hope I do NOT score any biteys...
ReplyDeleteI love your fill-ins. Ever so wise.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day and weekend. ♥
I'm sure I'm getting something, but Mom & Dad are making me wait until Christmas. Frasier is really blinged up. Our tree has only 10% of the ornaments yours has.
ReplyDeleteWe hope Pop doesn't get too many bites! Fraser looks very nice all decorated.
ReplyDeleteWe love your artwork....we need to read about Painterly.
The Florida Furkids
That door wrap is pretty cool! It's fun seeing everyone's decorations! Wishing you, TW and your pop a wonderful Christmas!
ReplyDeleteWe came back to do the puzzle! 13:56! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteYour decorations are wonderful, CK. Fraser is looking particularly good this year.
ReplyDeleteYour decorations looks great! I love that Santa...so vintage. (Not saying TW is vintage LOL) And your art is amazing!
ReplyDeleteYour door and your decorations look great. Merry Christmas! Don't bite Pop too hard, it's not too late to end up on Santa's naughty list.
ReplyDeleteAll you Christmas decor looks great. Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I wish all kitties could have a forever home too. I am glad you will get to spend lots of time with your Pop. Make sure you bite TW too, you wouldn't want her to feel left out :) Very pretty art and card. Thank you for the puzzle. XO
ReplyDeleteHi CK!
ReplyDeleteWow! Everything looks so Christmasy! Our house is decorated a bit too. Even though Mom has been hither and yon and cleaning, she DID get our little tree up and the tree from the Condo in Calgary (mom found it by the furnace). They are gracing opposite sides of the bay window.
Your decorations ROCK! And I gotta say you did a great job with the Painterly Action! Mom says we should play with it some more, especially now that she has seen what you guys have done! (And I want to do that puzzle!)
Sending you happy holiday wishes!
Purrs Marv
Love your decorations and art! We agree, we want all homeless kitties to find forever homes.
ReplyDeleteWe love all your art and decorations, CK - especially the sleigh in the snowstorm.
ReplyDeleteHave a furry meowy Chrissymouse.
Your condo looks very festive!
ReplyDeleteThe Condo and Santa's Posse are looking great, CK. We love your fill-ins, especially the one for #3! Hugs to you, TW and Pop!
ReplyDeleteYou're definitely ready to get the party started, CK. Nice posse! I would love to have my way with them (respectfully of course ... MOSTLY). ~Bear Cat
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas, CK and fam!
Your Christmas decor is so festive and fantastic, CK! I have to admire your tree with its beautiful, unbroken ornaments. That's not something that happens at our house, thanks to some tree-climbing kitties. And thank you for joining in on the Friendly Fill-Ins, CK, though I'm sorry I'm so late to visit! I really got lost in the Christmas shuffle this year. We also wish all homeless furbabies could have homes for Christmas, and every day. Continued merry wishes to you and your peeps!
ReplyDeleteWe are really ready. Dad is mewish but allows us to enjoy catmus. Or is that he other way round?
