My Gotcha Day is a few weeks after Christmas so I never get many gifts, if anything. Big gifts tend to be both Christmas/Gotcha Day gifts. It's not fair I know.
Last year I got a toy shmousy which was supposed to be a Christmas gift but arrived too late. The owner of the Etsy shop threw in a bonus toy. Long story short, I ignored both of them. Throughout the year TW has been bugging me with the shmousy but the other toy was forgotten.
About a week ago, TW started to hear me playing crazypants with something after she went to bed and early in the morning hence no pics. It wasn't rattling so she knew it wasn't one of the usual suspects. When she finally saw it, she had no idea where it came from or how I'd got it. Was it in a Secret Paws' package? Did it come with a prize I'd won? It was like the marvelous toy in that song. No one knew what it was.
I was getting so much joy from that little nondescript toy. Then a lightbulb went off in her head and she went back to the Etsy site (not an affiliate link). She didn't find them but there were enough toys that looked similar so she messaged the owner with a photo of Furbie. The mystery was solved. I'm getting another Furbit but will I play with it or continue to pine for the original? After all free is always better.
As you can tell from the post title, Furbie was located right before I went to press. He can run but he can't hide. If you'd like your own Furbit or another fun cat toy from The Ecstatic Cat, use my special code KEISHAMEOW to get a 10% discount. You can show them some love on Facebook, Pinterest and Instagram.
Now it's time to join the Friendly Fill-Ins, a feature held weekly at this time, which is already in progress. Our hosts—15andmeowing and Four Legged Furballs need no innerductions as they are giants in the cat blogging world. They think up the fill-ins and I fill in the answers. My answers are underlined and in italics. Any further comments on my part are in italics. Each week my image relates to one of the fill-ins. Today it relates to number two with my Grumpy Cat snow cat.
1. TW stresses me this time of year. She's stressed about everything from writing cards to wrapping gifts. The only thing she likes is buying stuff even if it isn't for her.
2. My favorite holiday film is "Grumpy Cat's Worst Christmas Ever." That was a good one and prolly the only one with a cat lead character that wasn't a cartoon. TW used to like all the cartoons like "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" and "Rudolph" but she hasn't gotten to watch them in years. One movie the peeps watch every year is "Miracle on 34th Street."
3. If you ask me, the Catmus Eve pawty makes this season merry and bright. What could be merrier or brighter than pawtying with furrends for a good cause (Black Cat Rescue)? I'm not a big fan of all the lights, decorations and trees. They're for the humans.
4. Seeing my Twitter furrends on Catmus Eve brings back memories. Back in the day we used to have so much fun. Now there aren't many familiar faces that still use Twitter. Many have gone to the Rainbow Bridge and the others have moved on like I guess I have too. I try to drop by more often than I did for a couple of years but I'm still hardly ever there except to DJ pawties.
Another Christmas painting and another puzzle. I had this image on the computer so I decided to paint it. I may add some text and make it my virtual Christmas card. It sure is purty.
In fact it will be my Feral Friday entry in the Caturday Art blog hop which is hosted by the lovely Athena Cat Goddess Wise Kitty and her mum to showcase the latest art by anipal artists using digital apps, Photoshop or original art. No talent? No problemo. There are hundreds of one-click apps for desktop or mobile devices that will turn your photos into works of art.
Have a great week. Dunno what you have planned but I'm helping TW wrap prezzies and the peeps decorate Fraser. What fun!
I am glad you did find Furbie again. Your art is lovely, and I agree that it would make a lovely E card. Thanks for the puzzle.
ReplyDeleteFinding a lost friend is always a good thing.

ReplyDeleteThose were really good answers Ck and beautiful/stunning art! I'm glad that special toy finally found you!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you found Furbie! Sorry that TW stresses you out this time of year. We didn't participate in any cat blog exchanges (cards or Secret Paws) this year. Just not organized enough! December seemed to just sneak up on me this year.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you found Furbie CK - enjoy! Holidays can be crazy, I'm trying to be sluggish and just enjoy the season, but the stress creeps up anyway.
ReplyDeleteThat really does look like a fun toy!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you found furbie. The peeps need to get their own Grumpy Cat and give you back yours.
ReplyDeleteWe're glad you found Furbie again. Your artwork is beautiful and the puzzle was fun.

That Grumpy snowcat is too cute!!! Don't know that I've ever seen that one before. So glad you found Furbie. Lost toys are heartbreaking. Mudpie has one special "baby" that I always monitor when she's playing with it because if she ever loses it we'll have to put out an APB.
ReplyDeleteWe’re glad you found Furbie. He sure looks like a fun toy.
ReplyDeleteSheepskin and leather....yes, that would be a fun toy. Maybe you can come to our house and find the 1/3 cup measuring cup that mysteriously went missing a couple weeks ago.
ReplyDeleteThank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I am glad you started playing with your furbie. I will be at the Catmus Eve party for your set. I love the Grumpy Cat movie. i like that grumpy snowman too. So far my only decoration is my stuffed grumpy cat with a Santa hat. I m like TW, I like shopping. Thank you for the beautiful puzzle of your art. Have a nice weekend. XO
ReplyDeleteBeautiful art and enjoyed reading your fill-ins!
ReplyDeleteWe are on Twitter a lot, and also on Instagram. In fact, that's where we spend most of our time!

ReplyDeleteCK, you always do such great art! And hooray that you found Furbie!
ReplyDeleteIt really isn't fair. My birthday is right before [or right ON] Thanksgiving. You have no idea how many Thanksgiving birthday parties I had. Oh, sure! Just lump it all together. Phht. And TW wonders why you bite her! You crack us up CK: "Long story short, I ignored both of them."
ReplyDeleteCK, the story about your Furbie reminds this here human of the talking Furbie toy I had as a kid. I actually still have it, but none of my kitties like it, so clearly your Furbie is way better. And this here human is determined to figure out the world of Twitter so that we can visit you on Christmas Eve! Merry Christmas season!
