Feral Friday: Treats, Not Tricks

Hola kitties! It's November and I'm still feral. What else is new? HAH! Did you get lotsa treats in your pumpkin bag yesterday? I did. Look at the size of this package!

Feral Friday: Treats, Not Tricks

I don't see anything wrong with them but TW said when she opened the package, all she could smell was plastic. She even transferred some of them to an old smaller bag of Greenies and said she could still smell plastic. She doesn't know if she should let me eat them or send Chewy a note about them. I've eaten some and haven't gotten sick. [Note to the FTC and Facebook: We paid full price for the treats. This is NOT a review or sponsored post.]

Feral Friday: Treats, Not Tricks

Actually our computer has been playing tricks on us. Every time we try to open an internet page, we get an error message saying "This site can't be reached. xxxxx.com took too long to respond. Try checking the connection and the proxy and the firewall." I ain't messing with that $h!t. Anyone know what this means?

Feral Friday: Treats, Not Tricks

Now it's time to join the Friendly Fill-Ins, a feature held weekly at this time, which is already in progress. Our hosts—15andmeowing and Four Legged Furballs need no innerductions as they are giants in the cat blogging world. They think up the fill-ins and I fill in the answers. My answers are underlined and in italics with further comments in italics. Each week my image relates to one of the fill-ins. Today it relates to number four.

1. I never read blogs that aren't about cats. If I let TW, she'd read all crap about politics and music and stuff like that while she won't let me read blogs The Cat is innerested in. Sometimes I'll let her read me a dog blog if it's a furrend.

2. I mainly read cat blogs from those bloggers who have supported me for years. TW has cut down on our reading time quite a bit so I don't get to all my furrends every day. I feel bad when I know I'm missing what Spitty, etc. are up to on a daily basis. TW is very mean cos it's cutting into my numbers too.

3. The beginning of a new month means the peeps are in a bad mood cos they get lots of bills in the mail. I have to be careful not to ax Pop to buy me big ticket items. This month the real estate taxes are due too. Ka-ching! This means nothing new for me.

4. Valerian makes me feel silly. So does silvervine and sometimes nip. It makes me aggressive too.

Feral Friday: Treats, Not Tricks
I made a puzzle too for my fans.

I did a still life oil painting this week for my Feral Friday entries in the Caturday Art blog hop which is hosted by the lovely Athena Cat Goddess Wise Kitty and her mum to showcase the latest art by anipal artists using digital apps, Photoshop or original art. No talent? No problemo. There are hundreds of one-click apps for desktop or mobile devices that will turn your photos into works of art.

Would you like to comment?

  1. My human is not happy about the property taxes being due this month either! I'm so glad I'm not a human.

  2. Silvervine is the only thing that made Eric silly, but Flynn was a real nip head and got high on everything.
I read mostly cat blogs but also a few dog blogs. Maybe you can get TW to make an exception and see my Halloween post on my holiday photos blog. It is a true story of something weird that happened to us on our road trip around Ireland. I saved it especially for Halloween. The link is in today's post.
That is great looking art and thanks for the puzzle. I will be catching up with them now we are home from our cruise.

  3. Yes, someday, I won't be able to daily visit all of the cat blogs that I like, but for now, I give it the good-old college try. Everyone has such great things to type! But, we all understand, which is why I don't post much on the weekends; I want to concentrate on living with my cats while I can!

  4. Greenies are a bit hit always.

Have a purrfect day and weekend. My bet to your mom. ♥

  5. That is a nice size container. I get my cats Temptations in containers like that and never noticed a smell. Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I would read your blog even if you didn't visit mine because I am a big fan of yours CK. I know about taxes, my hubby is writing a check right now and it makes him quite grumpy. Thank you for the puzzle of your beautiful art. Have a nice weekend! XO

  8. December and January are the financial hit months for us (property taxes and house & car insurance).

Mom has limited herself to reading 25 blogs (mostly cats). We try to not miss the important things. Then there are a few non-pet readings to stay informed on other topics.

Nip doesn't do much for me. I've never tried valerian or silvervine. I like my reality so I don't feel like I'm missing out.

Hopefully your internet woes has resolved itself.

  10. Plastic treats don't sound too good to me CK, I'll tell Chewy they need to replace them. Very cool art too and darn good fill in answers!

  11. We used to try and visit all the cat blogs we follow (which are a lot) every day, but lately we have been falling off and not visiting every day...but we try to visit everyone at least once or twice a week.

  12. Nip and valerian makes me nuts and makes me pee like crazy...on top of it...MOL...not Mol for Granny...MOL😸We have the same problem with replying, CK, we start every week with good intentions, but then, when it's Wednesday we have replied so many of our faithful followers, that Granny almost gets exhausted and has to take a few days of rest😸Your artwork is very beautiful again. Pawkisses for a Happy Weekend🐾😽💞

  13. My mum drinks a herbal tea infusion that contains valerian to help her sleep. If I get a whiff of the tea I make her laugh because she thinks I look high!

    Love the art :)

  14. We are thankful for your support of our blog over the years, CK, and we are so glad to be your friend and to support yours, too. :)

Taxes and stuff suck. We don't blame Pop and TW for being in a bad mood about those.

  15. I bet Chewy would send you a new container of treats. They’re really good about that stuff.

  16. Property taxes? Yuck! That sounds just as nasty as treats that smell like plastic. Our property taxes are due in June and September over here, so we're in the clear for a few months. As for valerian, silvervine, and catnip, Evan sounds a lot like you, CK. He loves the stuff, but that aggression gets real serious real fast when he's nipped out. Purrs!
