Um, no. It wasn't even a brand new car. It was this cheap Thanksgiving centerpiece which I had to pose with. Do you feel my pain?
The flowers aren't even real and they look wilted. Check it out like I was forced to and remember to read the secret messages.
CK 2.0 was forced to pose with it too. At least I got some freeze-dried raw treats. She got squat except sore feet from standing on the candy dish. There are at least three holidays represented here. Our Christmas lights stay up all year. Don't judge. MOL!
Now it's time to join the Friendly Fill-Ins, a feature held weekly at this time, which is already in progress. Our hosts—15andmeowing and Four Legged Furballs need no innerductions as they are giants in the cat blogging world. They think up the fill-ins and I fill in the answers. My answers are underlined and in italics. No further comments this week. Each week my image relates to one of the fill-ins. Today it relates to number two.
1. I can't wait to sink my teeth into POP on Thanksgiving. Or any other day either. That goes for TW too. Pop tastes like chick-hen cos he eats so much of it.
2. I will pass on cat food on Thanksgiving. Just keep the turkey coming! I'll eat some cat food just not the gut rot stuff cos TW will prolly cut me off before I'm through with the turkey. Sometimes a cat just has to help herself when no one's watching (see above).
3. I wish Chinese food was served at holiday gatherings. I'm always up for some po'k fried rice or lemon chicken (hold the lemon!) Of course I like turkey but that's only served once a year. Wouldn't you rather have Chinese food than homemade baked ziti?
4. I will always be thankful for my home and my health. Bet this answer surprised you. Don't tell no one. I'm thankful that there are no consequences to biting Pop.
I'm gonna make another puzzle and wish a Happy Belated Birthday to Uncle Neil. |
I had a few extra pennies this week so I bought a canvas to slop my paint on. Slop it I did! This is an appropriate painting since I'm laying with a few of my fave toys and Monday's music prompt is toys and holiday shopping.
This will be my Feral Friday entry in the Caturday Art blog hop which is hosted by the lovely Athena Cat Goddess Wise Kitty and her mum to showcase the latest art by anipal artists using digital apps, Photoshop or original art. No talent? No problemo. There are hundreds of one-click apps for desktop or mobile devices that will turn your photos into works of art.
As this is November 22, TW wants me to remember that tragic day in 1963 when then-President Kennedy was assassinated. That was way ahead of my time but she remembers them making the announcement in her elementary school and all the teachers crying. Is your human old enough to have memories of that sad day?
My momma has Christmas lights up in her room year round - well, the white twinkle ones are year round. The Christmas multicolors are only for Christmas. But still, her bedroom is hot pink, lit up, and has leopard print and Indian saris decorating her canopy bed. So no judgment from here, MOL!
ReplyDeleteThose were some photos CK and terrific answers too, let's get some turkey and Chinese food! The Dad remembers that sad day in 1963 too, he was in 4th grade.
ReplyDeleteCK, thanks for the puzzle!
ReplyDeleteThe Hubby will be cooking a turkey this weekend, and it's only for THE CATS!
Love all your fill-ins. I think we should have whatever food we want on thanksgiving. Not just the usual stuff everyone tells us we should have.
ReplyDeleteHave a purrfect day and weekend. My best to your peeps. ♥
Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I had a feeling that would be your answer for #1 and I wrote that fill-in with you in mind. I would definitely prefer Chinese food to a turkey dinner or baked ziti. Now I want Chinese food.
ReplyDeleteI like your art, very pretty. The flowers don't look as bad when you see the entire vase with them. Thank you for the puzzle. I am off to do it now. XO
My human is on strict orders to bring home some turkey from her friend's house on Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteHey, at least you have holiday decorations, we quit bothering with holiday decor years ago - don't judge - MOL!
ReplyDelete#4 doesn't surprise me. Well, I guess it surprises me that you'd admit it. I wasn't around yet on that day in history, but if I was, I'm sure I'd remember it clearly.
ReplyDeleteWe can't wait for Turkey. Great fill-ins!
ReplyDeleteThe Florida Furkids
We won’t be getting any turkey since the peeps are going some place else for dinner. Phoey.
ReplyDeleteI love your festive photo! Can you believe Mudpie won't even touch turkey? That girl is hopeless.
ReplyDeleteOur human was changing classes at 1:40 p.m. on Nov 22 1963. She was a freshman at the University of Akron. So many of us thought the world had changed forever on that day. And it did - but how many more times has it changed since ?
ReplyDeleteDude, at least TW has friends even if they do give wilted flowers. Be happy she has at least one. Haha
ReplyDeleteHumans and their "decorations!" 'Tis the season for annoying decorations. Phht. If cats were in charge of holidays, there'd be GOOD decorations. Like cat nip. And blood spatter from biting. And mousies. I always get in trouble for doing so, but you might want to "improve" TW's decorations. Just saying. She might not appreciate it - but she'll thank you later! Err ... or something like that. ~Bear Cat
ReplyDeleteI always like your art, and I love this effect. It was worth you spending your pennies on the canvas! Thanks for the puzzle.
ReplyDeleteOur mom isn't old enough to have memories of that day, but Grandma has told her about it tons of times. Very sad day indeed, we don't understand why humans cause each other so much pain.
ReplyDeleteLove your Artwork CK, the colors really pop and compliment your personalty and furs. Mom says she feels as if she could reach out and pet you through the screen. We told her she better not cause you would bite her.
We didn't decorate for Halloween (remodeling) and we aren't decorating for Thanksgiving (remodeling) in fact Mom says no choice they will be going to Grandma & Grandpa's this year and leaving us home alone. And Mom says the way the remodeling is going we won't be decorating for Christmas either.
I wish Chinese food was served ALL THE TIME. Egg rolls, y'all.
ReplyDeleteLove your art! No turkey for me as we don't celebrate Thanksgiving in England. But I love my chicken so I don't mind.
ReplyDeleteWe kinda wish Thanksgiving food was Chinese food, too, CK!
ReplyDeleteMy oldest sister remembers that day well, but I was only 2 years old.
ReplyDeleteHope you get lots of turkey for Thanksgiving! It's too bad no one is going on a cruise though, but decorations are fun, even cheesy ones. :)

CK, I thought you might answer #1 and #4 like that. Will Pop be spared your teeth if he keeps that turkey and Chinese food coming your way? Happy Thanksgiving to you and your peeps, CK!
